Disarming… in more than one way I’d even say
OK, guys, I believe I have a lot of explanations to do. First of all I’m soooo sorry, I know I promised you smth. like that loooong time ago, but I have reasons for such delay. Well, to be precise just one reason – to tell the truth I simply wasn’t sure I could handle making Kurtis “look normal”. You know what I mean – you all perfectly know how the original model looks like – low-poly body, angled hair strands, all those textures and so on. Don’t get me wrong, I love it immensely, but when placing him next to absolutely perfect Lara it looked more than strange. So it was basically painting him all over again which took a lot of time. One of the main problems was that all the tricks I always use to make Lara look more “human” wouldn’t work on him, otherwise Kurtis would look like a girl. And we don’t want that, do we?
So I spent some time studying male pictures and renders, figuring out what textures and shades should be and which ones shouldn’t and so on.
And as for the render itself I think my explanations are absolutely unnecessary.
It’s obviously a variation of that very scene in Louvre, the variation that many of us saw as alternative end of it.
I changed the location a bit as well the place where Chirugai hit the wall. I do remember that it hit on the other side of Lara, but it seemed to look much better from this perspective. OK, no more talks, enjoy
