"Death is nothing but sleep."
When Philip Whitaker returned to his funeral parlor, he discovered that Terrence Drake was waiting for him there and looked clearly agitated. He knew why, of course. Nonetheless, he was ready to face the results of his actions bravely. Terrence Drake glared at him very icily. Philip Whitaker returned his gaze calmly.
"Philip Whitaker, you have broken your promise to me."
Whitaker was visibly amazed that Terrence Drake knew. Still, he refused to be alarmed.
"I never make a promise with the dead."
"I am not dead."
"Yes, you are, Terrence Drake. You were medically and legally declared dead at your funeral. In any event, the councilor was skeptical of my report."
"You know what I have to do with you now, of course."
"You have to die instead of me. I shall suck you dry and go on living."

Terrence Drake lay in the old shed throughout the day. But the text from Starry Wisdom had also told him that the life of the flesh was in the blood. Therefore, he must seek the blood of living bodies. In fact, although the scripture had said to conquer death you have to die, there was much contention about the truth of these words. Death entails (rumination of the corpse. Whether there was even a soul to gain liberation after death was unproven. Terrence Drake would-eventually ruminate in the shed.
As he rested, Philip Whitaker decided to report to town council. When he arrived at the town council hall, he met Malcolm Weiss and his wife. They had come to report about Terence Drake too.
“Hello, Mal. What’s wrong?” he asked.
“You saw Terrence Drake, right?”
“Right! How did you know, Phil?”
“Drake revived after his funeral.”

Terrence Drake's departure from the funeral parlor did not alleviate Philip Whitaker's anxieties and fears. Terrence Drake, an undead soul, was at large in the town. Philip could not tell anyone about him, least of all the town council. Philip was very grave. What could he do? He dreaded Terrence Drake's return.
Meanwhile, Terrence Drake had gone roving through town limits around 11:30 that night. As he wandered past a row of houses and sheds along one road, the dogs resting outside woke suddenly, and howled and barked wildly. One dog's owner woke up and went out to see; but, when he opened the door, Terrence Drake had wandered ahead and was out of sight. A cat wailed. Dogs barked and howled. However, most of the townsfolk slept soundly and ignored the din. Terrence Drake continued to stroll. Then, a couple of newlyweds had gone strolling that night and began to head home. They saw Terrence's silhouette in the lane.

Terrence Drake was a man of advanced age, when he finally died. He was 78 years old. Nobody knew very much about him. He had lived alone until his death. He had a fair appearance; yet something about him made him unattractive to women and they avoided him. Throughout his life, he never married. Terrence Drake stood about five feet eight inches tall. He had average build but never gained weight. In fact, he was very thin when he died.
About his habits, his hobbies and his occupation, nobody knew anything at all. Terrence hardly ever left home by day; and he only left home at night when the need arose.
When he died, late one evening in November, he was holding a document of strange appearance in his left hand. The coroner and the undertaker both had tried, vainly, to extract it and read it. Terrence Drake retained an iron grip on it; so, at last, they gave up trying to read it, At 10:45, that evening, the undertaker

"Yes! I wouldn't even care if you died!" Taking this into consideration she grabbed a knife. Deliberately she cut her wrists, slowly. When the boy tried looking away she just shoved the knife cutting her arm in his face.
"Look! Look! You don't care if I die so why not watch me do it?! Know that as I'm doing this it's because of you! You told me you did't care!"
As she cut the boy ran away. She slowly set down the knife and smiled. Lighting up a ciggarette she listened in on the conversation the boy was having with another. Making out the words through the hysteria was hard but she managed to get one thing out of it all: The boy claiming that she almost killed herself because of him. Laughing she rolled her eyes; she had barely grazed her wrists on all of the eleven cuts.

Do you believe in mythical creatures?
Well, I do. And it's all because of one incident back when I was just 16.
It happened on the year 2010, just a few days before my 17th birthday.
I went home from the province where I spent my first semester in college. In that province, a huge mango tree stood beside my aunt's house, where I used to lived back then. I loved that mango tree. That's where I would spent the afternoon reading or else, sleeping. I didn't know it would be the source of my future problems.
I think it was after new year when I started having this weird feeling as though i was being watched. But I couldn't really tell if I just imagined that or not.
My other aunt, who lives not far away from our house, started acting annoyed whenever I went to her house. Puzzled, I was asked her why.
"You smell like tobacco," she answered.
"Me? But I don't smoke!" I said indiginantly. And I w
MultilevelSunlight filtered through the large, glassless windows set into the high ceiling. Onyx towers stretched into the darkness above his head. While there was most likely a ceiling there, it was so tall, and so dark, that it was impossible to tell. Onyx floors spread away around his feet, shiny, dark and inset with strange silver patterns. He frowned, disturbed. From the outside, this had seemed to be a regular church, with red brick walls and a small parking lot. Surely the actual building was smaller than this gargantuan mausoleum he had walked into. Yet, even as he went back to check, he found the doors to be locked.More Like This
A sudden fear, dark, cold and binding, fell over him. He tried the doors again, pulling on the large iron bars that served as handles, but the doors didn't budge. They didn't rattle, rumble, or shake, but stayed absolutely immobile, as if it wasn't a deadlock holding them shut, but something else. Something dark.
As he turned back to the room, he noticed something that he ha

He grinned, the stitches at the corners of his mouth becoming taut, exposing razer sharp teeth and a flicking forked tongue momentarily.
"You should have known better," he chuckled, a raspy sound that betrayed the chaos the pale figure enjoyed. The dying woman couldn't see it, as her own blood dripped into her eyes and blinded her, but the beetle-black eyes of the retreating figure twinkled with morbid delight.
