This shot was taken late afternoon, in the rain. The mist was just what I had hoped for. I was freezing my ass off waiting for the mist to envelop through the trees. I'm glad I stood through the miserable weather though.

Thanks for the comments, very much appreciated.

Watson Falls is located along the North Umpqua River east of Roseburg, Oregon. It plunges 272 feet, and is the third highest waterfall in the state of Oregon.

It is also virtually IMPOSSIBLE to photograph any closer than this downstream vantage point. I tried many spots, including on the cliff at the end of the trail directly adjacent the waterfall, and only succeeded in getting my camera and my body thoroughly drenched by the relentless spray. {sigh}

Directions can be found at the "Thundering Waters" site.

If you enjoy this photo, please take a few moments to visit my Waterscapes gallery.

I am never sure about my photography but sometimes there are images I am very happy and after my last weekend trip to Tollymore Forest Park, I came back with my camera full of great shots of the river and autumn forest. What a colors.. So I thought I will share little of my Northern-Ireland with you..

I hope that you like it still, even thought it is just photography not manipulation :)

In the beginning of January we went on "short" trecking trip to Rhodope mountain but suddenly we were covered by a heavy snow. The snow cover varied from 100cm to 200cm. One of the days we have been walking for 10 hours to get from one point to another and finaly we got stuck for two days in one mountain hut with no electricity. But whatever the conditions were, we spent a great time up in the white "desert" :-)

This is a shot from the 10h walk to our shelter. At the end I was so wet and engry but after a sip of red wine close to the warm fire I felt complete happieness.

Jagged rock formations in Badlands National Park, South Dakota jut into a jet black night sky filled with stars as the Milky Way rises. The incredible night sky and foreign rock formations made it feel almost as though we were on another planet during our all nighter testing some new glass.

A massive supercell thunderstorm rotates over the rolling plains of rural Western Nebraska near sunset during a late May storm chase. We had just come through some large hail to get in front of the storm after being about 50 miles west of it when it initiated. Hail was still falling as I set up my tripod to take this image. The light was incredible and really helped play off the striations in the updraft of the storm indicating rotation.

The O'dell, Nebraska churns just west of the town as it intensifies rapidly and is soon tornado warned. You can see all of the different bands and textures of clouds feeding moisture and warn air into the the storm. You can also see the different layers of the storm wrapped around as it rotates. A few minutes later the the storm took a southeasterly turn versus the northeast track it was taking here, and we had to go east and then south to avoid the baseball sized hail that was indicated on radar.

The Shawnee, Oklahoma tornado continues across I-40. I zoomed out to capture some wider perspectives of this tornado, that now had a red dusty debris cloud at the bottom as it tore into trees on the interstate about 150 yards from our location. Shortly after this image to go into the car to run from the tornado. The spekcles in the air on the left hand side of the frame are pieces of debris lofted into the air by the tornado that were now falling as they escaped the stronger winds.

I love the crops in the summer and how much they change. I had fun composing this shot, I usually have an horizon in my photography, so cutting it out was weird but I really like it! :)

Very similar to my last post "The Devided" just this is a slightly lower perspective and a wider focal length. I feel this really helps bring out the trees through the thick mist, very eerie atmosphere.

Looks like something sweet, or fruity :lick: Either way I wanted this to to be one inviting sunset scene and I quite loved the colour combination for this year's one. This is the seventh annual artwork I've made of this kind, all part of my yearly birthday submissions and I managed to still be on time again. Talk about punctuality (or not having a life :paranoid:) It was hard to think of a title, so I took one from a song I currently like which fits the mood perfectly 8-)

Created with Vue and Photoshop as I often do. I originally had a very purple colour scheme in mind for this with only trace amounts of blue and pink involved. It looked pretty cool but then after some radical changes and experimentation with the colours I ended up with this which was very different yet more fitting to the bright, warm sunset mood I wanted. I also wanted somewhat a minimalistic approach which I tend to prefer for island type scenery relax:

I was listening to Light Up The Dark from Gabrielle Aplin while editing, and it the title seemed to fit.

Taken yesterday morning... The first bright rays for me in quite a while. I usually do a better job at editing if I wait a couple of weeks after taking the picture. But I don't always have the patience ;)

2015.05.04, San Gimignano, Tuscany, Italy.

I've been to Tuscany for a week recently, made a few nice shots. :)
Unfortunately the weather was quite poor and it wasn't a photo trip or a workshop anyways, so I didn't have the chance to make those backlit foggy sunrise shots that the region is famous for among landscapers. But I'll be back, esp. to Val d'Orcia in the future, that's for sure! :)

Sunrise at Lake Wanaka in New Zealand.

Everyone who's been to this area has "that shot" of this famous tree on Lake Wanaka, so of course I had to get mine. The weather had been rainy and windy the night before and I got really lucky with the clouds and light I think. I could not have asked for better conditions, except maybe less wind. It was blowing fairly well, so there was a lot of blur in the tree leaves for the longer exposures, so I had to take a separate 800 ISO, wider aperture shot, to freeze the leaves in place and blend the shots together in Photoshop. Very happy with the outcome. Enjoy!

Kittens my mom found at the elementary school she works at. She's found a good home for two of them which will go together, and she's planning to keep the little white one if she can't find it a good home. This was their first time outside since she found them, which was before their eyes opened. :)

//edit
She found an amazing home together for the white and black one, and I've somehow convinced my boyfriend to let my keep the gray one! Woo!

//EDIT!
You can find a picture of Willow, the grey kitten that i kept and looking all grown up HERE!
