The Warrior's QuandyI hear the drums, the chanting,More Like This
far behind me, near the camp.
I sit alone, under Grandmother Moon.
I need to think.
Which path is right?
Which path is wrong?
Will we, the First People,
regret this way we forge?
The elders counsel waiting,
the younger feel the flames of war,
they hear the call of the drums.
The white devils make many promises,
but the only ones they keep involve violence.
So many of our people, not just warriors,
woman and children, slain as well,
left to rot, lost to history.
We've been driven from our lands,
so many times,
uprooted from our past.
What will the future hold?
Will our ways die?
Bear hide keeps me warm,
while I listen to the drums,
to the chanting,
under Grandmother Moon
worrying about the future of my people.
ChainsHere in this Hell, in this tortured hall.More Like This
We rot in our cell, bound to the wall.
Chains on our ankles, chains on our wrists.
Chained to that which should never exist.
Always the ones who want to bring peace.
To end all the wars, and let the land sleep.
We lay down our arms and speak for the Earth.
Still we are imprisoned, chained from our birth.
She was once chained, but was freed by the one.
He thought that his long work was finally done.
But once the dawn came, he saw a new land
A brand new world that could bind up his hands
Chain up the truth, throw away the key
Chain up freedom, they chained up me
I speak with power, to end his great rule
To be used by my goddess, an acolyte tool
I wish to be free, to live my own life
But I shall serve her, no matter the strife
Here in my prison, here my cell
Here in the eternal Ianite Hell

Daydreams of nightmares and fantasies
Bundled up into whirlwinds with no one in between
I thought about catching the starlight on my tongue
But the dangerous hope and agony caught up in the focus of tomorrow
quelled any sort of wish that I could capitalize on the reality of who I thought you were
When I look into the mirror of tomorrow I wonder what it is that I thought I'd see
Those bespectacled wishes that I cataloged so carefully revealed nothing
And I was left adrift on a sea of confusion, hoping that someday it would all make sense
The grand scheme of a master copy that I had yet to come and see
None of it fit for reality of course, because that would mean facing the abject truth that I was nothing more than a fantasy..
Perhaps that's all we are in the grand scheme of the universe, passing ships that barely see the lights in the distance
I had thought perhaps that I was more than that...
The black hole that was left behind speaks to a different theor
Message for the futureLightning flashed illuminating a silhouette racing through the trees. Flame embers seemed to flash as a shadow flicked in response chasing after the runner. Another flash and her auburn hair seemed to glow bright against the darkness, her skin stark against the background.More Like This
The shadow of a man flickered in and out in pursuit. She darted left and right as if feinting trying to get the flickering shadow to make a mistake in following, as she seemed to dance upon the ground to a rhythm that only the two of them seemed to understand. The rain a soft backdrop against the race taking place in the foreground. Her grey eyes darting ahead as his seemed to be seconds behind. They continued at speed across the forest in the dusk of a summer storm.
His form seemed to flicker like a shadow against her light not quite taking a shape but still ever present nearby. She didn't look back but her movements showed a sense of purpose that the form following was attempting to keep up

That dwells in my soul
A secret identity
something so droll
I relish in it's danger
and seek it's special glow
A secret shared with the few
I thought you should know
Inside these words is a truth
A special secret code
For those who know me well
The truth will unfold
