All These Beautiful AttemptsShe's pressed against the window,More Like This
Hardly daring to take a single shuddering breath,
She's so afraid of the twilight stars.
When she found out that
The moon watches her as she sleeps,
She painted her windows
The same ruined colour that floods her vision
As she sews herself back together again.
One day she'll face her fears.
She'll have to.
One night she'll go beyond the threshold of the door
Down the stairs
And she'll touch the grass
With high-heeled shoes.
She's dressed up tonight;
Somebody's out there,
Somebody she wants to impress.
She wore her navy skirt,
(that one that blends in with a cloudless night)
But when she looked through the glass patio door
Only the stars and the moon were there,
Waiting with baited breath for her to show her pretty face again.
Three steps and she could touch the doorknob
(fear fear fear)
Three steps and she could leave this place
(you can't do it)
Three steps and she could break away from her paranoia

Say you're enemy of the State.
Yes. You are. Of a current state of the Country,
Ruled by those, who afraid of changes.
You have followed your thoughts, the right ones.
You've acted brave — in the Land of Brave, you've acted free — on the Land of Freedom.
You're real American, more American then a lot of
People with citizenship of US.
And you'll always be.

ReverieThe moon, the trees,More Like This
Surrounded by beauty
Would that I could
take off in flight
To be one with the sky,
one with the owl
To be near to the moon
At which the wolves howl
So far below
The human world could be
So far away
Perhaps only in dreams
I'll be free to play.
