Conversation, laughing, and angry shouts filled the Blue Gale tavern as its costumers pored there worries and savings down their gullets. Waitresses tended frisky drunks fighting wandering hands just for a measly tip, the drunks sang songs not caring if no one knew the words or even knew what they where singing. The crowded tavern ignored the new-comer as she entered her hood drawn covering her face in a shroud of darkness, her boots tapped seemingly unheard as she approached the bar.
"What'll it be." The bartender said to the new costumer shouting over the sounds of business.
"A table and a nights worth of mead." She said shining silver into his eyes, causing the disgruntled man to give her a table and a mug of mead. She sat down i

"Hunter!" My mother called from downstairs. "Are you ready?" She asked. I woke from my half asleep daze. I tiredly pulled on my jacket, grabbing my bag and heading down the stairs. "Come on We are about to leave." She said. I nodded and walked out our front door. I walked to our truck parked in the driveway. I went around to the back, finding my dad putting the last of the bags in the covered truck bed.
He took my bag from me and stuffed it into the backend of the truck. He looked at me. "Tired?" He asked.
I yawned, nodding. "I haven't been up this early all summer." I said in a tired tone.
He put the truck's tailgate up and pulled the cover down. "Get in, we are about to leave." I didn't complain. I walked to the side I always sat on and got in, leaning against the now closed door, closing my eyes.
I woke, seeing the sun now well above the horizon. I had slept for hours, at least. My mom looked back to me smiling. "Want anything to eat? We stopped to get a quick

Pyra smiled as she turned to her, "Do you think there will be humans there?"
Sparky nodded, almost chuckling, "Initial reports says that there are both humans and dragons."
Pyra took a deep breath, "Do you think we are going to need to be full dragon? Or should we stay human?"
Sparky picked her teeth with a claw, "I'd rather be a dragon, thank you very much. We'd better split up. Cover more ground, I'll go to the dragon communities and you can go to human."
Pyra nodded, "For once you have a good plan..."
Pyra stood up from her seat and went over to the captain, "Are we ready for the drop?"
The Captain nodded and and flipped the hatch switch, "You only have a few minutes... Don't miss your jump."
Pyra nodded and went back to Sparky, "We have to go."
Sparky frowned and looked at the open hatch, "Can't I have a parachute?"

There's really something unsettling about watching a zombie eat another zombie with a fork.
Fortunately, Ben had missed most of it while he was unconscious. Unfortunately, he was strapped down to a cheap table and the zombie was looking up from the ravaged corpse it had finished on as if planning to make Ben the second course.
As Ben's eyes widened in something akin to fear, the metal half-cones serving as the zombie's ears perked up as its torn lips curled back into a smile. The eyes on its hairless, rotting ratlike head were obscured by a tinted visor, but its gaze still brought a sense of coldness.
The human looked to his arm, feeling as though something was amiss. Ordinarily, he had a device that resembled a watch there, but it was absent from his wrist. Out of the corner of his eye, he found that it was resting on an uneven workbench.
So at the moment, things weren't looking too good at all.
The rat traced the fork across Ben's jugular, and then
Crash Landing [Blade's Birthday Gift] "After you, Captain Blade." Alex said in mock politeness, giving his fellow marine a sarcastic bow. Rolling his eyes at the less-than-formal display of fealty the young officer strode past his friend, approaching and ascending the long metallic gangplank that led up into what he could proudly call his new vessel.More Like This
The up-and-coming commander truly looked the part for his job as he pushed past the automatic doors and into the shiny interior of the newly fashioned star ship. Stopping only a few steps into the short corridor the officer took a moment to admire himself in the reflective surface: his medium length black hair, his lean form, and his dark hazel eyes seemed set in a mask of superiority, the commanding aura only intensified by the billowing black trench coat that fell down his gray uniform. Blade smiled at the image, his confidence brimming as he realized he not only was prepared to play the part of a ship's captain but looked the part, too.
