And yet, you look ready to conquer the world.
You stomp and trot around proudly,
Just waiting for your next chance to get into mischief.
As much as the larger ones on two legs seem to think this is their home,
They're far from knowing that, now that you can walk,
It's forever your turf.
One of the large ones is staring at you,
Making weird noises at high and low pitches.
You can't help but take a pause at the sounds,
And when you look up to the one making them
With curiosity in your blue eyes and a tilt in your tiny head,
It begins to make the noises again.
Losing interest, you continue your venture.
There are great things for you to discover,
Such as what exactly is following your every step?
When you sit down, you tap at it with a paw,
Learning it's attached to you...but why?
