The War on Medi Pot.> I have taken notice of the issue of the war on drugs. It has became apparent that the war on drugs has become a war on marijuana. If a war was being waged the primary targets should be alcohol and tobacco for they are used and abused the most. I can understand both sides of this issue; wanting to keep drugs off the streets that are thought to harm and corrupt our youth, creates crime, makes people paranoid, and endanger the roads and businesses with performances under the influence. Then there are those who have a medical illness and cannabis is the only drug to ease some of there symptoms, as well, as those who see that the people arrested for position of the drug are dramatic over crowding jails and prisons and is a waist of tax payers money and consume valuable law enforcement resources that could be used toward harsher crimes. I take the position that marijuana should be legalized for medical purposes and decriminalized for recreational use. Both sides of the issue have their poiMore Like This
