Ultra Fractal 5.04

A tweak of *LeXXe's fractal Hollow.



His parameters are a real pearl! I learnt so much from them, and I have now decided I'll try developing a technique to make space fractals with UF. Hoping it comes out well

This is my entry for #DigitalArtNetwork's At the End of Time contest. This is how I imagine the distant future to be: the extinction of the Sun will provoke a solar shower (represented by the warm-coloured zones) which will spread a huge amount of heat in certain zones of the universe, leaving the others much colder (those in blue); after thermal equilibrium (green parts) the universe will slowly collapse on itself, creating a new Big Bang (thus going back to the orange/yellow colouring of my fractal) and give birth to a whole new world. Who knows how this world will be? The mystery alone is fascinating.

Because I made an alien flower for you, except for it looks like something from Avatat

I've been watching X-files lately. Some of the ideas, especially about the government, are pretty disturbing. Although the aliens are scary too.
One of my previous deviation provoked an interesting discussion with a number of deviants, some of them mentioned aliens and the theme got stuck in my mind. So, let's get back to those ET beings...

As for the technique. Crackle, you'll be the death of me in this image. Put it away and I lose the beautiful luminiscence in the leaves. Put it there and I get a bunch of random dots at the places I really don't want them to be. Gah. Put more depth blur, dots look better but the plant is blurred! GAH!

Thank you for all favourites, comments, critiques and devwatches! It means a lot to me.

I'm currently working on an element series and so far a couple of them are done. My approach was after a lot of inspirational talks with ~Eteria-Stockphoto to do each element as a woman somehow dressed or consisting of that element. The model for this project is ~Vapala (my sister).

This is Fire - I was looking through my stock library for ideas for the Earth element when i stumbled across my solidified lava shots and thought, hey, they can be warm and firey! So I started working on Fire instead and this is the result.

All the stock used is my own for this one, hope you like!

Apophysis 7x.15C and colour adjustments with GIMP.
The title refers to a line from Coldplay's song Paradise.
I'm not a huge fan of Coldplay, but the lyrics of this particular song match perfectly with the way I'm feeling in this period. Yes, it was just too good to last a little bit more.

(anyway, I wanted to make a flower, but with something different...so I went for a "macro" of a bloom)
