I love Star Wars.
I love Traditional 2d Disney Animation. :date:
I love wide-screen aspect ratio. :worship:

The conclusion? I made me a pretty poster with all those things combined! :D
I have to admit, I like this a lot. I am really happy with how it looks.
The characters are all drawn out by hand, so the all the “beasts” and “Jedi” are very large as originals, but had to be shrunk down to fit the ratio in the montage.
The background was completely digital. I don’t like using the computer as a medium in that way, but since the background was minute, I let myself slip just once! ;)

Anyhow, my little homage to the mother of all sagas. :worship:

"Star Wars" and all related characters, logos, etc., are property of Lucas… and apparently, he hasn’t learnt to “share”. ;)

ALRIGHT. So. NUMBER THREE on the list :3 Esmeralda. As one of my friends says:

Good. Lord.

Okay Copy Paste intro time!
"Anyway, this idea is not really new or original, it's basically just me sitting around going "More Disney Princesses should have light sabers." So I decided to give it to them.

Now the characters I chose don't necessarily correlate to any character in the Star Wars Universe. Also. This doesn't follow Star Wars canon exactly either, because where's the fun in that? And that would be... very hard to completely correlate, but I was inspired to create mini back stories for each character I did."

So here's Esmeralda. She was taken hostage by Frollo the Hut(SEE WHAT I DID THERE?) after it was found she was helping rebel forces find sanctuary. Eventually she's picked up by the rest of the good Disney Wars Crew and brought on board....

You guys realize that this means Belle and Esmeralda may get together---

Now I want you it imagine the "I love you" "I know" scene... Except with Belle and Ezzie.

You're welcome :3

Anyway. This one was tons of fun...

Alright! THREE DOWN YOU GUYS! FOUR MORE TO GO!

As a note. This pose was referenced directly from the Star Wars film. It's too iconic not to reference

Got bored, felt like putting Ahsoka into Aayla's clothing. Suppose I should have swapped sabers to, but meh. And... I still haven't changed the saber color.

Yes, I know the headdress has issues. believe me, this was the best of my tries.

Been kitbashing lines again, and today we have Ashoka Tano from The Clone Wars just a wee bit older then she is in the show. Yes, i know her blade color's wrong, I goofed.

Mission Vao from Knights of the old Republic. The title's a line she snaps at Revan during the game. Best NPC in my mind, cause she's spunky and adorable.

More Star Wars kitbash work. This time it's Aayla Secura, one of the sexiest Jedi in the Old Republic. Used a lot of the same parts as i used in my Ahsoka Tano piece.

That wierd bug eyed alien from the original Star Wars. I always thought he'd looked cool in that five minutes he was on screen before he got fried, so I put him on my list of things to draw. I did this one up a while ago last year probably a few years before going to CATAC, as well as a bunch of other portraity sort of things which I'll likely add as I go. I think was one of the final ones I did so it's looking very snazzy all around with the shading and all. I looked off an existing photo to do it, but even still I'm rather impressed with the overall results. Probably around 4-8 hours for this guy.

Piece done for the program cover of the DallasComicon next week ( [link] ). Carrie Fisher is making an appearance to sign autographs so the con organizers asked me to do a piece of Carrie as Slave leia for their cover. I know, it doesn't looks like Carrie but to be honest I had to turn this out so quickly and likenesses take me a lot longer so I opted to just concentrate on the sexiness instead of a dead on likeness.
Also, just as a preemptive strike. I really appreciate all the comments you guys leave me and I read everyone of them but, unfortunately, I don't have the free time to be able to comment on all of them so please know that they're read and EXTREMELY appreciated. I would love to express my thanks for each and every one but trying to balance a 12 hour work day(including weekends) and a wife takes up pretty much all my free time. All your comments give me the fuel to keep working.

Watercolor commission of Obi-Wan and Yoda, chilling out on Dagobah. It’s been a while since I’ve drawn anyone enjoying some tea, so thought this was a good opportunity for that- despite the unfortunate ability for Force ghosts to probably do such a thing.

Well, I was eating strawberries and I thought this one looked like a heart. Who am I to pass up an opportunity like that?

Little darker than usual. I'm expanding my horizons. LOL. To be honest, a couple of my flashes didn't fire and I got this. I liked it so I figured what the hell. It won't be included in the "Pointed" Series because it just doesn't mesh with the tonality of the others but I thought you might enjoy it.

Thanks

Picture made for ImagineFX magazine workshop, issue #34 about painting SciFi Images. Whole tutorial is about how to put story together and how to execute it properly. With screenshots from production and few useful tips :] Hope you gonna like it

Image was done by hand in Photoshop, few references used but nothing significant. Inspired heavy by awesomeness that is Mass Effect

Crits and comments always welcome

This is matte painting sketch for Grant Morrisons MBX, a new online animating series developed by Virgin Comics and Perspective Studios. It's based on the epic Indian poem, the Mahabhatara. The poem contains stories of Krishna and an epic battle that eventually destroys the whole earth....pretty heavy for a poem written thousands of years ago!
I was asked to create a decaying city, a New York on steroids. I thought, even better...New York on crack!!:D

This was done fairly quick.. riding the wave of Star Trek, I decided to pay a little homage to the guy's that started it. I went to see the new film, and thought it was pretty good, though it took me a bit to get use to the idea of different actors in these roles... and I never got use to the new Checkov badly overdone Russian accent. That aside pretty good film...
This is pastel pencils on velour paper 8" x 10".
For the first time I have listed an original drawing for bid, it is available here if you care to give it a look...or you want to own an original piece of my art you can bid. Thanks for looking...

Originally completed as a request made on the SWAG forums [link] in early January 2005. This is a female Gungan Beastmaster, firmly on the Dark Side.

She carries a harpoon, tipped with the razor-edged tooth of some giant creature from the abyss and a Shiro shell shield.

I never was a fan of Jar Jar Binks or the Gungans.. but there was a concept I would like to had in the Movies.
Anyway, I created my own version of a Gungan Warrior and tried to give him a much more serious and threaten side.

The Gungan Warrior stands about 16" inch (46 cm)and is a 1/4 scale.

growing up i was a star wars fan and indiana jones fan. now i am embarassed for both. i haven't quite recovered since seeing garbage crystal skulls and have a feeling that i may never even watch the original three indiana jones movies again... in regards to star wars, i believe, like most all other people, that the prequels were tediously brutal and misguided. but despite of this, i liked general grievous. yes, he was misused and probably should have been (if not seen) implied earlier in the prequel trilogy, but george lucas is a pathetic mess of a storyteller and we shouldn't expect anything sensible from him as long as he surrounds himself with idiots like rick mccallum. anyway, it is now too late to care because there is nothing more for that fleshy beardy guy to ruin. rant, rant, i am ranting... anyways, i like grievous, as i said.

i like watto as well.

One of my favorite characters from Star Wars.

I really wish she was in more Video Games. It would be awesome to control her in Star Wars Battlefront...

A drawing done to be made an icon for a friend of me who plays in SWG(Star Wars Galaxies) as an Ithorian. The funny thing is that Ithorians, for those who know about them, have the head behind the eyes, and in that game, it's where they wear the hats. But it didn't fit that way if I wanted to show him in the way I wanted, so this Ithorian wears his hat in a very original way, with style, oh yes!

Well, Fantasy Flight's Star Wars RPG is now moving into Age of Rebellion territory. Where edge of the Empire focused on characters existing on the periphery of the war, the new books will shift to military forces. Here's a newer piece from the upcoming Onslaught on Arda adventure ( http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_news.asp?eidn=4921 ), which I'm pretty sure is the first supplement for the AoR line.

Happy belated May the 4th. I haven't done a star wars fan pic since I was about 10 years old. Feels nice to finally be able to do what I saw in my head

This poor dude was on a patrol in some backwater system. His group got ambushed by some local pirates and now he's stuck on some crummy planet trying to get a signal out. Praying his rations last until rescue can arrive.
