New little MLP Ponyville customs from me! This time with Kuroshitsuji theme~
These three were for sale at Desucon but only Sebastian get sold. So Ciel and Grell are for sale (note me if you're interested, I'll get better info about them later). Ponies are Hasbro made but I sculpted their manes and painted them.
I have made 2 versions of this pony, many more pics of all angles of the pony can be seen on my website under "other customs" here: [link] That being said, this pony was made from a G3 My Little Pony named Sunny Daze that I rerooted with Katsilk hair in CM Midnight. The eyes were repainted, one ice blue and one brown, with the black "stitched" eyebrows and messy red eyeliner in acrylics and sealed. The tattoos were painted in acrylics and sealed also. The "leather" pants and boots were sculpted from Apoxie Sculpt, painted and sealed. There is a lot of detail in them that this pic doesn't show, such as the tread on the bottoms of the boots.
This is basically just a remake of the previous The Last Unicorn custom My Little Pony that I did. This was a private commission for Lovelauraland. I thought it differed enough though to go ahead and upload it. This one was made from a G3 My Little Pony named Chilly Breezes. I removed her mane and tail and then sculpted a new unicorn horn, mane, leg feathering and tail using Apoxie Clay. Then I painted the sculpted parts, hooves and eyes with acrylics and a sealant.
I think the reason I found this so ungodly fun is because when I was a kid--lo these many moons ago--I loved my My Little Ponies, and used them to act out stories...but probably not the kind that the manufacturers would expect. The minds of children, as Stephen King once wrote, are like deep wells of clear water. And this is true enough, but there are monsters in those wells, and some of 'em have a bunch of eyes and really big teeth. So my stories were all full of blood and torture and death and forced marriages*, sort of Quentin Tarantino meets Marguerite Henry, all acted out via My Little Ponies, and their cohorts, the little scented rubber animals that came with the Strawberry Shortcake dolls. (I had no particular use for the dolls.)
Next to some of those stories, My Leper Pony's probably pretty tame, but it's still nice to return in some small way to that well of childhood creative depravity.
Technical stuff! Leperlot started life as a G3 Love-a-Belle, was painted sickly grey-green, re-tailed with the scurfiest, most diseased looking yarn I could find, and boils were sculpted from polymer clay and painted. Bandages were added with Rigid Wrap (a type of plaster cloth) painted, and sealed with acrylic matte medium. Bits of mane were glued in under the bandages, but I didn't do a full re-root. The "Unclean" sign is made from painted acid-free matboard, and I photoshopped together a parody of the packaging, printed in on matte heavyweight, and taped it in over the original. (Sadly, despite all the tape visible in the photos, there is still less than was on the original package. Hasbro likes their tape.)
This is my first alteration of a My Little Pony, and you don't want to know how much fun I had.
I will probably be e-baying Leperlot at some point in the near future--my journal'll have the details.
EDIT: I'm told by other members of the pony modding community that Hasbro apparently doesn't like box modifications, so wanting to respect their wishes there--after all, they furnished my depraved childhood adventures!--I'm removing the box art, just in case.
"My Little Pony" is a trademark of Hasbro. Leperlot and her packaging is an artistic parody and not affiliated with or sanctioned by the manufacturer.
*There is a reason this theme pops up so much in fan fiction, romance novels, and fairy tales. For some reason--and it may well be a girl thing--that's one of the toothy monsters in a lot of our wells.
This pony was made as a private commission for Darklys, she designed the pony and wanted one half to be the bird form of Howl and the other to be normal with a symbol of him as a child with the fire. I made the pony out of a white G3 My Little Pony who I rehaired with Katsilk hair in black and purple (as per Darklys request). The bird side was sculpted with Apoxie Clay, painted black with purple highlights and sealed. The symbol on the non-bird side, as well as the eyes were also painted wtih acrylics and sealed. I made some little white teardrop shaped earrings for the pony also. I decided he needed a friend so made a little sculpture of calcifer too
I give you... ED!Pony! ^_^ My third pony, and I think the one that's turned out the best so far.
Ed was made out of a Sunny Daze pony. He was painted with acrylic paints and sealed with satin finish acrylic sealant; the bottom of his back hooves are red (because the treads on Ed's boots are red, of course), though you can't see in these pics. His left front hoof is white (his "glove" hoof), and his right front hoof is metallic silver (his "automail" hoof). There is a tiny screw painted on his automail hoof, but it doesn't show up well in photos.
Ed's teeth are made from DAS air-dry clay. His hair is "taxi yellow" katsilk hair from restoredoll.com, and was rerooted using Lady DayDreamer's MLP rehairing tool. I HEARTILLY reccommend this method for anyone who is looking to rehair ponies.

Here he is, (finally) Ventus from Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep! Commissioned by ~Decoralovely
This was without a doubt the most nerve-racking pony I have ever done. First, my paints were all dried out and I had to buy new ones, then I found out that the clay I use is no longer sold in the stores in my area.
Which is the reason why Ventus has a shirt/jacket made from felt. (Which I am NEVER doing again. Urgh.)
His armour and pendant were sculpted from super sculpey and then painted.
He was sealed with Mod-Podge Matte sealer.
A lot of work went into all those fussy details. Like the checkered wristband. THAT was a nightmare.
Anyway, I hope you like him Decoralovely! I'll get him ready for shipping, and the second I get the last payment I'll send him off.
Thank you for being to patient. Thank you thank you <3
This my little pony was made in the image of Captain Jack Sparrow, to see many more detailed pictures of this pony from other angles go to my website here: [link] (don't forget to check out my other customs by going to the main site by clicking the "home" button on that link). I tried my hardest to make this pony's clothing as close to the real costume as possible. The pony was a white G3 My Little Pony rehaired with Katsilk hair in shades of black and brown and also Mohair in black to create the dreadlocks. The mustache and goatee are made from mohair rooted into the ponies face, no glue involved. The outfit was made from Apoxie Clay and painted to match the real costume. All of the beads in the hair (including the sail needle, coins and silver dangly thing, lol) were handmade from Apoxie Clay and/or beading wire. They are insanely tiny. The bandana is a piece of fabric and is not removable as it has been sewn into the hair so that it will stay in position. All of the painted surfaces were painted in acrylics and sealed. Last but not least, the compass was hand-sculpted from Apoxie Clay, painted and sealed. It's about 1/2" square and has a wire loop on the back so it can be hung around the ponies neck. I just wish I could make itty bitty hinges so that I could have made it an opening compass
Second Talbuk in my World of Warcraft talbuk series. This one is the tan version. Horns, hooves, tail and spikes sculpted. Full body paint and detail work done with craft paint. Eyes redone and glossed. Fully rehaired by me as well.
Pony base is made by Hasbro and Talbuks/World of Warcraft belong to Blizzard. This is a one of a kind custom doll/ fan art piece.
This was one of my first ponies EVER. He got finished a long time ago, but the paint I used was really bad quality and something spilled on it (if I remember correctly) and it started peeling. So I stripped him down to his clay and plastic and repainted him. This time he has custom eyes as well and so antiquing to the armor. Hope you guys like him.
Pony base by Hasbro, custom work done by me.
This pony was made using apoxie sculpt, colored pencils in spots and craft paint. He also has a new tail from dolly hair pony hair.
My first "natural" horse custom. This pony is modeled after a grey tobiano horse I've been saving in my reference folder for forever.
Pony started out as a very sad looking Waterfire that had a nasty haircut and layers of nail polish. She has been given a full body paint and natural horse markings with craft acrylics. She has natural horse pinking in all the right spots, hooves and mapping to her bold markings. Eyes redone by me, as well as rehairing done using dollyhair nickel, virgin snow and another grey color I cant remember the name of right now (sorry!).
I'm happy with the results and will probably make more natural horses in the future.
Please excuse the hair-do She was just sealed and given a bath.
Herbal Meadow was made for Knotty Kitty from the MLP Arena. It was a personal trade we did this year, 2009.
Herbal Meadow was disigned by Knotty Kitty. My 1st sculpted wings & they turned out great! She has had a full body repaint done by airbrush. A custom green color, a mix of 3 different greens. Eyes & symbol all painted by hand. Total rehair done using a mix of 4 or 5 different shades of pink & the white is glow in the dark. Hard to see but there are is some hidden glitter on the wings in a few places. Her necklace was hand made using hemp along with the tail bow, also hemp.
I didn't know I'd be able to do all of it in one night

It couldn't be helped. I have been doing cross-fandom interpretations of Mulder and Scully since 1998. You know, back when the show was mega popular and they had cameos or references in a BUNCH of shows, like The Simpsons, Reboot, and one year of the Emmys, even. Those cameos told me this was okay! *sob* It's .. okaayyy...
..Meh. 'Sides, if they can have a (semi-)official Dr. Who crossover pony, I can have my X-Ponies. ..Right? Woo, sci-fi!
I guess fan OCs have to have a lot of thought put into cutie marks and how each pony got them, but I mean, like, what other symbols are there in The X-Files besides the two X's in those two fonts? Maybe an alien. SHOOT. SHOULDA DONE AN ALIEN. Dang. OR A UFO. GODDAMNIT. Oh well. Anyway-- and I actually put thought into this-- maybe they both got theirs at a late age, but if you've watched the show, you know those two have had nothing else going on in their lives besides their jobs, so I guess it seems fitting.
I'd like to take a sec to talk about the art I've been doing involving ponies and how I've been trying to imitate the art style in the show. I realized while working on this that even though the colors are flat, a lot of the appeal comes from the line weight, which I SUCK at. Adding line weight takes twice as long as my usual inking method, but in all honesty, it makes it fun. That said, I'm over the flat color thing. I want to add depth and shadows and all that! I'm seriously considering going back and doing so. We'll see.
I could comment about and criticize this to pieces, but this is already a long enough description, so I'll stop here.
k, so, first off... not sure what category to put this in,
Second, wtf? lol, I know. I'll geekily admit, I went through a very short period of watching the first series of Pokemon online... and I use to customize My Little Ponys (double geek alert ) so yeah, somehow I ended up doing this. I intended to do all the original three but like most of my project, I lost interest or got lazy or something. But I was cleaning my room and found this guy and still like him/her, so I decided to share, however geeky it may be. He may end up in scraps, you decide!

Holy shoot, an OC for a movie ? o: Let us hope for justice. >_< And in my opinion. It had to be done. HADTOBEDONE.

Disclaimer This is purely a work of fanart. The world of REPO does not (sigh) belong to me If you want to know the back story freaking watch this movie I demand it!! ---->[link] Download for Full View!!
Well, my first completed digital painting. I'm pretty happy with it. I had to mess around with the hue, saturation, and contrast to get the colors the way I wanted them, but it looks pretty nice.
Anyway, this is a piece of fanart for 'MirrorMask', a whimsical, and a bit dark, british film. The movie is most notable for it's unusual art and filming style, along with some great visual effects by the Jim Henson Company. I tried to do justice to the movie with the art style I chose for this painting.
