Tiny DancerI'm watching the tiny dancer,More Like This
She spins circles around me, and all eyes fall on her,
I can feel her pink leather slippers stepping on me,
I know she doesn't mean it,
She's too beautiful for me to handle.
The crowd stares in awe at the tiny dancer,
Every three steps, she slips and falls,
Her pink slippers twisting and bringing her to the ground,
No one notices, they only cheer,
It doesn't take her long to get up and continue her dance.
They all love the tiny dancer,
I do too, but it makes me feel empty,
Her pink slippers are a size too small,
And who cares for a forsaken poet,
When they can watch the tiny dancer?
A Simple Notebook EntryIt is dark. My pages are empty.More Like This
My notebook has been sitting in my bottom drawer, invisible and untouched, for thirteen months. Now, in my dark confined space, these blank pages have become my closest friend. I have waited with them for two hours and twenty one minutes with seemed like an eternity, and I still have four hours and thirty nine minutes left. I cannot sit and sleep with one eye open any longer.
I must write.
These words come straight from my cloudy mind to the first page of of my unwritten saga. The only light in the dark prison is coming from the map above me. It shows me where I was, where I am going, and how long until I am there. The clock changes; Now four hours and thirty eight minutes. Not much longer now. Other people may be watching me write, I don't care anymore. My insides are burning and my mind is in a hazy fog.
But at least my notebook is filled.
The Plane CrashThere was commotion all around her, but Alex couldnt hear a thing. She sat, frozen to her seat, unable to hear the alarms, the people screaming, or the deafening roar as the plane starts to dip downward. Her mind was numb. She felt dizzy as the situation slowly comes into her mind, and it takes over her thoughts.More Like This
Im going to die.
Alex closed her eyes and her grip on the armrest tightened. She held back her screaming as her life flashed through her eyes.
Please? Alex was down on her knees. She knew it was a bit dramatic, but she couldnt help it; she wanted it. This may be my only chance to go see Dad in Chile! Ill be home before you know it! Ive even got the money saved up! Im responsible sort of Ive never been outside the country! Please?!
Oh, I dont know! Mrs. Carson laughed. You might miss your mummy! She pinched Alexs cheeks rather forcefully.
Anger And Sadness- Old PoemLike two devils in your heartMore Like This
Anger and sadness tear you apart
If you let them take your soul
Your heart will break in two.
Anger hits you, swift and silent
Starts as subtle, turns to violent
Make you, break you, tears your heart
And then it leaves from you.
Sadness is like a deathly ghost
Hits you where it hurts the most
Stays with in your heart, it will
Never leave from you.
Haunted, tortured, you regret
The hurtful news you won't forget
Forever dwelling in your soul
You wish you never knew.
Though through time you ease the pain
The bleak despair will still remain
You lie awake, recalling when,
The joy it took from you.
It will drive you into madness
Starts as anger, turns to sadness
Grief or rage, it's all the same
You never start anew.
Through grief, you stay inside your stead
You push it back into your head
Ignoring that part of you is dead
Forced to start anew.
