Custom Pony - Diamond Tiara
Commissioned by ~DarkAngelLilith

See the tumblr post here [link] for more pics of this pony. Please try to reblog my tumblr post rather than make your own. Thank you :)

Everyone’s favorite bratty filly! I gotta say, I grew a little fonder of the little terror this season, especially the CEO side of her we saw in Ponyville Confidential. She’s be a fine J. Jonah Jameson someday.

She was more difficult than I had expected with that tiara. Major props to the people who can work wire as well as they do. This last iteration came out well though.
Made from a dehorned Sweetie Belle, painted with Apple Barrell acrylics and rehaired with Amethyst and Virgin Snow Dollyhair. Hair styled with good ol’ straws and boiling water.

Lady Gaga
Bait: Rarity

Obviously a Pony Gaga can go many different ways. The requester for this one decided on her "Let's Make a Sandwich" costume from the Telephone music video. Another one that I'm really proud of. Like Kamina and Simon's capes, Gaga's transparent dress was made out of her packaging, which was cut out as a pattern and molded into shape by boiling the plastic. She was rehaired with Goldilocks dollyhair, which was curled around straws and colored at the tips with yellow Copic for a gradient effect. Her telephone hat is Sculpey and painted with an iridescent medium so it's quite striking.

Befitting her role in the music video, Pony Gaga's cutie mark is a sandwich. Don't forget the Miracle Whip and the poison.

So i think Emma turned out the best so far of my pin ups. Honestly i think when i'm done this project she'll still be the best, her character and design lend themselves the best to the pin up style really.

I might do some of her as the white witch, and i plan on doing this same one only with her having dimond skin. Going to wait a bit with that though, as i'm a little scared to even try that yet.

Corpsey Puff is the first in my My Little Demon series. I loved My Little Ponies when I was a kid and I still collect them (the new ones) to this day. I basically just created these to combine my love for Ponies and my twisted imagination =0).

Sparkle Plague, so far, has been my most popular Demon. Someone at Origins (convention in Columbus, OH) said that Sparkle Plague is what you see when people are wandering around all glittery and stuff. "AHHHHH....she's got the Sparkle Plaaaaaague...NONO!"

Again, I'm not in any way affiliated with Hasbro. These are just an artistic parody of My Little Ponies.

So after the rat dragons, I got thinking that pet dragons where a pretty fun idea. I've never cared much for straight pet portraiture in clay...but making them dragons? Much better! And so I made some kitty dragons!

Meelo: Orange tabby
Maneko: Calico
Mowroo: Tabby in the tiny box
Mewlinar: Swirled tabby/bengal

I think my favorite is the little calico, but I'm also highly amused by Mowroo in the tiny box. "If I fits I sits!" :XD:

They'll be for sale in my next etsy sale, though I'm not sure when that will be yet. Just keep an eye out for a journal announcing it. :)

Handsculpted from Premo sculpey, stripes painted in acrylics, all are under 2.5 inches tall.

My friend :iconcrystalcookart: and I decided to have a monthly...ish sculpting challenge. Each month we trade off decided what we will make. Crystal chose a dragon horse. So we each designed our own version of one and this is mine. I think I did a pretty good blend of the two beasties :D

Handsculpted entirely from colored premo sculpey, about 2 inches tall

Awwww aren't they just so peaceful? This is my part of a gift exchange with my good friend :iconcrystalcookart: She requested a mama and baby dragon and let me design the rest. I gave her three babies instead because she has three little boys :)

Yay butterfly dragons! I really love these little guys. I had so much fun painting all the little swirly dots on them, and I love love love the curly tails! The wings are made from polymer clay, then painted. :)

I'll have to revisit this idea again sometime soon. Too many projects I want to work on! D:

Both he and the lion end in about 2 hours. Sorry for the last minute post. I completely forgot to post them here D:

I wanted the cheetah to be longer and leaner than the rest with a more aerodynamic mane. I think his marking were my least favorite to paint, because there were SO many spots and they all had to be relatively round.

This pony was made for Tyninca as a trade. She had a toy I really really wanted and said that she'd trade it for a simple custom. She sent a list of her favorite colors, animals and hobbies and this is what I came up with. I had a little free time yesterday so got her knocked out in only a few hours  The body is from a Strawberry Sunset that I rehaired with Restoredoll hair in Ruby Tuesday and Noir. The symbol is of a bat and lots of little black stars (yeah, I've been on a star kick lately, figured it's great practice as they are a huge pain to paint). They symbols and eyes were painted in acrylics and sealed. Doesn't have a name yet, any suggestions?

Being that I live in South East Texas I'm totally obsessed with the idea of winter and snow. I've never seen REAL snow in my life that I'm able to remember (though I have seen a video of me playing in snow that's about 1" deep back when I was like 4...I don't remember it though, lol). One of these days I'm going to fly my butt up to Colorado or somewhere snowy during the winter and see some REAL snow! Anyway, because of this I adore art with snowy landscapes and wintry scenes. This little pony was made from a G3 My Little Pony named Toola Roola that I rerooted with Katsilk hair in Platinum White and Sky Blue. This is an older pony of mine so the eyes were not repainted. I painted a couple of snowflakes on the front display hoof (that I don't care for now that I look at the pony after so long) and I sculpted a snowy river/mountain scene on the rear. It was then painted in acrylics and sealed. If I was able to redo this pony I think I'd leave off the foot symbol and repaint the eyes an icey blue color. Other than that I'm quite pleased with the result.

I have made 2 versions of this pony, many more pics of all angles of the pony can be seen on my website under "other customs" here: [link] That being said, this pony was made from a G3 My Little Pony named Sunny Daze that I rerooted with Katsilk hair in CM Midnight. The eyes were repainted, one ice blue and one brown, with the black "stitched" eyebrows and messy red eyeliner in acrylics and sealed. The tattoos were painted in acrylics and sealed also. The "leather" pants and boots were sculpted from Apoxie Sculpt, painted and sealed. There is a lot of detail in them that this pic doesn't show, such as the tread on the bottoms of the boots.

~*~The Mad Hatter!~*~

The Mad Hatter is a Custom My Little Pony based on Johnny Depp's character from the new Alice in Wonderland movie directed by Tim Burton!

The Mad Hatter's outfit and hat were hand sculpted with Apoxie Sculpt. His costume is based on the Variety magazine picture and he even comes with a sculpted brown rabbit and a hand sculpted tea cup.

I paid very close attention to details and included all the pockets, buttons, hat pins, and ribbons that were a part of the outfit!

He has been completely rehaired with dollyhair Firebird nylon hair.

I have been working on him for over two months and now here he is for his debut!

This is basically just a remake of the previous The Last Unicorn custom My Little Pony that I did. This was a private commission for Lovelauraland. I thought it differed enough though to go ahead and upload it. This one was made from a G3 My Little Pony named Chilly Breezes. I removed her mane and tail and then sculpted a new unicorn horn, mane, leg feathering and tail using Apoxie Clay. Then I painted the sculpted parts, hooves and eyes with acrylics and a sealant.

I warned you.

I think the reason I found this so ungodly fun is because when I was a kid--lo these many moons ago--I loved my My Little Ponies, and used them to act out stories...but probably not the kind that the manufacturers would expect. The minds of children, as Stephen King once wrote, are like deep wells of clear water. And this is true enough, but there are monsters in those wells, and some of 'em have a bunch of eyes and really big teeth. So my stories were all full of blood and torture and death and forced marriages*, sort of Quentin Tarantino meets Marguerite Henry, all acted out via My Little Ponies, and their cohorts, the little scented rubber animals that came with the Strawberry Shortcake dolls. (I had no particular use for the dolls.)

Next to some of those stories, My Leper Pony's probably pretty tame, but it's still nice to return in some small way to that well of childhood creative depravity.

--------------------

Technical stuff! Leperlot started life as a G3 Love-a-Belle, was painted sickly grey-green, re-tailed with the scurfiest, most diseased looking yarn I could find, and boils were sculpted from polymer clay and painted. Bandages were added with Rigid Wrap (a type of plaster cloth) painted, and sealed with acrylic matte medium. Bits of mane were glued in under the bandages, but I didn't do a full re-root. The "Unclean" sign is made from painted acid-free matboard, and I photoshopped together a parody of the packaging, printed in on matte heavyweight, and taped it in over the original. (Sadly, despite all the tape visible in the photos, there is still less than was on the original package. Hasbro likes their tape.)

This is my first alteration of a My Little Pony, and you don't want to know how much fun I had.

I will probably be e-baying Leperlot at some point in the near future--my journal'll have the details.

EDIT: I'm told by other members of the pony modding community that Hasbro apparently doesn't like box modifications, so wanting to respect their wishes there--after all, they furnished my depraved childhood adventures!--I'm removing the box art, just in case.

"My Little Pony" is a trademark of Hasbro. Leperlot and her packaging is an artistic parody and not affiliated with or sanctioned by the manufacturer.

*There is a reason this theme pops up so much in fan fiction, romance novels, and fairy tales. For some reason--and it may well be a girl thing--that's one of the toothy monsters in a lot of our wells.

This pony was made as a private commission for Darklys, she designed the pony and wanted one half to be the bird form of Howl and the other to be normal with a symbol of him as a child with the fire. I made the pony out of a white G3 My Little Pony who I rehaired with Katsilk hair in black and purple (as per Darklys request). The bird side was sculpted with Apoxie Clay, painted black with purple highlights and sealed. The symbol on the non-bird side, as well as the eyes were also painted wtih acrylics and sealed. I made some little white teardrop shaped earrings for the pony also. I decided he needed a friend so made a little sculpture of calcifer too ;)

Man I haven't painted anything like this in such a long time.
Felt pretty good and i'm quite happy with how it turned out
for not being that familiar with paint tool sai other then simple
flat shading usually.

I'm just going to copy paste what I said on the original sketch
to show my thought process behind this:

Since we're getting a bit more Luna in season 2, which is awesome,
I kind of thought of her personal turmoil she probably has, being
trapped in the moon for like 1000 years after all. I see her as having
hallucinations or nightmares (no pun intended) about nightmare moon
which are just manifestations of guilt. I could see an episode clearly
showing this and her having to somehow over come and confront her
fears with the help of the main cast or at least twilight, I dunno lol

Other then some kind of internal battle, I have no idea what's going
on here, I just wanted to paint some pretty ponies lol. Your free to
interpret this however you want haha.
