Firstly, it is to raise awareness amongst the people of the world about a new and upcoming Linux Distribution (Distro), entitled "Furbuntu". I am a great supporter of Linux (and the free software movement in general), so feel that I should do what I can to keep it going, and to generate what support I can for the up-and-coming projects that are flying around. More information on this can be found throughout the journal of .
Secondly, it's to draw attention to a competition, again run by . This is for wallpapers and similar resources, to be used in Furbuntu, and can be found here: [link] I have made an entry about six times so far, and have not yet ben happy with any of them -_-. Anthros are hard to draw .
So yeah - awareness raising for the day done

A fanart of Sarah Kerrigan from Starcraft. I was very fond of that character when I was playing BroodWars years ago, so now that she is back I decided to pay a little tribute to her.
Whole character including modeling, texturing and lightning was done in Zbrush3 (i just got it weak ago and its sort of brilliant ). I used good old Photoshop for some final composing, adding simple background, eyebrows, detailing eyes, few light and shadow fixes and overall postproduction
Espero q vcs gostem. Gostaria q tivesse criticas formadas e com q eu possa melhorar ela. Agradeço desde já.
An animator faces his own animation in deadly combat. The battlefield? The Flash interface itself. A stick figure is created by an animator with the intent to torture. The stick figure drawn by the animator will be using everything he can find - the brush tool, the eraser tool - to get back at his tormentor. It's resourcefulness versus power. Who will win? You can find out yourself.
It's been a while since I've done a digital painting that was this gruelling. I'm taking a visual design course this semester and for my personal project I decided to do three gruelling digital paintings of Samus Aran-- as homage to the greatest video game character ever created. I spent over 50 hours toiling away at this (mostly trying to get the damn background to look interesting), but I'm still not satisfied with how it turned out. I may go back later and refine it a bit more, but after working on this almost every day for the past month I can't work on it anymore; I'm just too tired. -_-
Photoshop CS2: 50+ hours Photo ref of close friend of mine used. Original size: 7200 x 10800
I was originally planning to add rain because it's heard throughout the song, but my fatigue got the better of me so I added that after getting 14 hours of sleep. :3 Plus I submitted it a bit bigger. And made her look a bit older. Thanks for all your helpful comments, kiddos! It's muchly appreciated!
And for those who haven't played the game (or just didn't notice) Samus can summon her ship by remote, which is why it's flying on its own in the background.
ok, remember that interview I talked about recently? Yeah, we decided to spontaneously take a carton of eggs and a marker to the parking lot and see what happened.. The girl who interviewed me was at the time the only one with a camera, so she got to shoot lotsa different pictures of this scenario. But I didn't get to see how they turned out ('cos I was too shy to ask) so I came back later with my sister and my dad's camera. The funniest part was when my sister and I took those two eggs you see in the background and smashed them as well (I put the glaring one back in the carton, just fer kicks..).
So, yeah, another egg picture..
The "story" behind this one is that one egg got brutally murdered, it was a hit-and-run kinda incident, and I'm guessing the egg lying next to him, crying it's eyes out, was his partner or something. That terrified one wasn't supposed to be covered in yolk/blood, but he fell.. which actually made it more gory in a way... idk And that one at the front, glaring at'cha, he's the one keeping the paparazzi away, ridding the mourning eggs of unwanted attention. Sorta..
on the other hand, Mr. Glarealot over there looks kinda accusing rather than threatening, don'tcha think..? Like he's saying "It was you... I just knowit.."
aaanyway! Hope you guys like it
