Krissy page 254Kaiba’s blue eyes scowled, he didn’t like being ordered in doing anything. What he hated worse was if it had anything to do with Atem. He calculated that they had been drugged for the past few months by Atlas which was why there was no food for them. Looking at the floor boards and the way the gaps were laid out indicated that they were supposed to live.More Like This
Feeling better Krissy awoke to find the morning light softly resting on Atem’s face. His palms were pressing down on the floor holding him up. She smiled upon seeing him fast asleep in that position. Gently and carefully she wrapped one of the blankets around him. There was a content look about his countenance. Quietly she limped her way to the kitchen, the cans of food and persevered meat was all they had. Starting up the fire again she let the smell work its way over to him. I wonder if there was any news she pondered. Being alone with him was great but she worried all the time.
Krissy page 253The closer they got the uglier the building became. Even for him it would have been a last resort for a hide out, he saw grass growing on the roof, a few trees decided to take root in the middle of the floor. His feet slammed into the ground before his ride shook him off. The rusted door had to be forced open carefully or he’d risk exposing his presence. Using the ring he moved about the room, trying to discover the location of the victims. Ducking around crates he was surprised to find the place devoid of any guards. He delved into a risky business all the time so why not now? Letting the veil fall he waited to see if something would leap out at him.More Like This
Kaiba and Dartz heard movement from above. The two deciding that it would be better to either be found or be killed and their bodies discovered the two picked up the mattress. Both could feel the other swing it back and forth. Tossing it into the air they heard it hit the roof of their cage. It slammed into the ground creating an ad
Krissy page 252Stirring the fire, the couple could smell the soup cooking and their stomachs growled in response. Krissy did her best to sit up, despite the weakness in her limbs she managed to succeed only wit watch Atem scoop her up. “You shouldn’t push yourself,” his voice was worried and filled with tenderness, “here this should help.” He offered her a pill and a glass of water.More Like This
Recognizing that he hadn’t made a mistake she took it from him, drinking the water on her own. “What are you worried about?” Seeing it as the best moment to do so, she observed him deflect the question pouring the meal. Feeling the slight she shook off his help to eat.
He felt wounded at it but let the moment go. Watching her eat he fussed over whether or not to tell her the news. Deciding that it wasn’t best to mention what was happening back home he pulled her foot closer to him. She looked confused as he checked the bandages, though the slight rubbing of her foot di
Krissy page 251After about a few minutes of analyzing the crime scene he glossed over the reports. The facsimiles were well crafted and almost fooled him until he looked back at the photos of the bodies. Down in the corner of the room was a sliver of rusted metal that was when it was all starting to add up. His suspicions were confirmed when he saw the Blue Eyes White Dragon card in the evidence bag. Unsealing it and walking out of the office he placed it in his duel disk. The dragon roared to life and eyed him angrily. “Now, now Kisara,” he scolded, “I’m here to help.”More Like This
There was a low threatening growl indicating that she didn’t believe him. He chuckled a little as she prepared a blast to kill him. Thinking frantically he swallowed, “I need your help to find Kaiba.” It was then that she stopped and eyed him carefully. “Think you can locate him? I have a feeling he still very much alive.” The dragon nodded a little closing its eyes. He knew

It was encouraging, he let a smile slip across his face, “I just prefer the normal colors of your hair, since they are mine after all.”
“If I was feeling better I’d smack you with a pillow.” Her eyes began to droop once again, his smell was intoxicating enough to ease her back to sleep. She mumbled something to him, which was coherent to her and no one else.
He laid her back down gently and pushed her bangs up. Pressing his lips to her forehead he tucked her in, there was no choice now. Rifling through the clothes he sighed, the last thing he wanted was to go into town. The wood cracked as he tossed another log onto the fire, she was too sick he clenched his jaw as the door clicked behind him.
It had been over a month, and there were still no new leads. The detective had the picture of the duel king, or the man at least related to Yugi in front of him. His
Krissy page 249A light flashed on causing the two to hide their eyes as it stabbed at them. It began to slowly dim casting shadows over them. A few seconds later a soft click is heard as the cuffs came off. The two captives look around their eyes light onto a stone cold room, it’s unflinching interior only made the occupants uneasy. Their eyes traveled around looking for any possible clue to where they were. There was no door or windows which disheartened the two a little, Kaiba’s mind spun trying to figure out how they got in when he looked up. High above their heads was a wooden ceiling. They can see each knot of the maple planks as the light died out. The aspect of being stuck with each other was not something they enjoyed. They could hear each other breathing in the dark. Each man moved about ceasing to talk in their captivity.More Like This
That’s just great, the lights are out now. Dartz scowled. Atlas had thrown them in here and barely paid any attention to them at all. Concentratin
Krissy page 248The umbrella caught another gust requiring him to grip tighter. With the whites of his knuckles showing he forced it to stay put and continued on. He watched as the water erase his tracks in the mud, it forced him to take note of his surroundings. As each minute passed his worry grew, he even considered what life would be like without her now. Sharing a room then a house had made him very attached. Watching her when she slept was one of his favorite things to do, knowing that she was safe and happy became his goal. His hair flicked from side to side when he shook the painful idea away.More Like This
“Krissy!” he called out again, the trees creaked as he waited. It felt like he was looking for Big Foot.
“Help!” Krissy cried out, when the lantern light appeared, “I think I broke my foot.” She watched as the light grew closer, hoping that they were friendly. From the roaring of the wind she could tell they hadn’t heard her, and for a moment the light swung to t
Krissy page 247Krissy listened to the bus pull up a few blocks away from Atem. Her feet ached from a long day at work and did nothing but desire to go back home. The sun had dipped below the horizon, reminding her he was probably out and about. The door creaked open and with every step she shook the place a little. Her change jingled together as she began the daily walk back toward the cabin.More Like This
Eagerness and desire built up along the way just to be somewhere other than outside. Night always hid the poor exterior but the stench was another matter. Deeper and deeper she went into the forest, wary and worried she’d lose her way. The branches creaked with raccoons chattering on the prowl. For a few moments she could swear someone was breathing on her neck. Slowly though a fire light came into view, causing her to run.
A fire crackled in the hearth, and the Pharaoh stared into it. His mind spun with worry, at every sound he looked up toward the door. Yellow and red flicking light danced over the logs,
Krissy page 246A soft groan rumbles in the dark as a man feels around his face. The worn wrinkles from age respond slowly to him as he rubs his eyes. Brilliant blue orbs stared out into the dark, as his head began to swim. He felt like something was just pounding his skull over and over again. Trying to figure out what happened his first thought was of sake but as things came back to him, he remembered, “Atlas,” he groaned out loud, “when I get out of wherever I am, I’m going to have his head.”More Like This
“Right after I do Kaiba,” another voice responds, “by the way could you possibly move over a hair? You’re starting to make my arm fall asleep.”
Wait… what? Kaiba tried to move his arm only to feel a pull in the opposite direction.
“Will you stop pulling my arm?”
The blue eyes dart around, his head was foggy. His mind spun over and over again as his arm is tugged in the opposite direction. Unable to fight the pull up from his
Krissy page 245You and me both,” the detective responded, “thanks.” Turning back to his team the group fussed around with the case file, he could how their minds were spinning. “Instinct?” his partner questioned.
“Yeah, something tells me that he’s been framed.”
“There’s no evidence to support that.”
“I know, until it says one way or another he’ll still be of interest to us.”
“So we don’t say anything then.”
A shadow passed over the gleaming puzzle when a brown hand picked it up. The sides were smooth to the touch just like it was centuries ago. Its chain clinked together knocking the top cards from off the deck. For a moment the hand waved between a decision only for it to be set back down. I suppose I do need

England is sitting on his couch a pile of cards in his hands and a big frown on his face. The cards are Christmas cards his brothers sent him. One has a picture of Scotland in a bar with friends. The caption says Wish you were here…NOT. Another is the Ireland twins at a Christmas party surrounded by people. The caption says We’re having more fun than you. One is a picture of Wales in a library with a girl. There is no caption on this one.
“Why am I even looking at these” England says tossing the cards onto the coffee table
England didn’t even bother putting up a tree but there are a few decorations around the house as well as lights strung up around the roof outside. He sighed as he sunk further into his couch. Suddenly the doorbell rang surprising the Englishman. He stood and walked to his foyer. He grabbed the handle and pulled the door open. What he saw almost made him fall over for standing on his doorstop is none other tha
