dA Guide: Text FormattingMore Like This
Please PAY ATTENTION to where the codes WILL and WILL NOT work! (Certain codes do not work in comments and deviation descriptions, no matter how hard you try.) :'D
Try NOT to copy/paste the codes, manually type them out yourself. (Copy/paste messes up some of the codes lately thanks to dA). :C
This is just a simple html guide to formatting text on dA (and other sites as well). My goal was just to compile some html info into a simple, easy to understand guide for quick reference. :) Please let me know if the codes don't show up because sometimes they disappear when dA updates certain things.
This guide goes a little above and beyond dA's FAQ entry (although I purposely left out anything to do with links, because they don't work on literature submissions). I also provided working examples, which might make the codes a little easier to understand. (Keep
Pixel Chibi Commissions [CLOSED][Edit] - ASjdkfsldghWTF?More Like This
I just woke up, and holyshiznitssomanynotes :iconcannotevenplz:
I-I-I need to close it ;A;
Thank you those who sent me notes <3
Now i'll work my ass off to get them done soon!
Kay... I wasn't going to open coms until I finished the midterms (yeah, i'm in middle of it), but there are some issues that came up irl so I need to open ._. (Nothing severe, I think, but I just want to save up just in case.)
Also, for other reasons too: like, I think some of you know that i'm holding this project :iconpoke-pal:, so I should probably start saving up for making that art book if we're really gonna do it (Advertising: there are still few more pokemons available - if you're interested, feel free to send a note!)
So yeah, I'm gonna open pixel commissions... since i'm really into them again lately /shot
Please be noted that if you're interested in commissioning me, it might take a while to get them done (since i'm busy with school works and other cra
Point Commissions: Why I don't do themThought I'd leave a couple days before writing this - take time to think over the main points and try not be too harsh. Though I'll be full of sarcasms, I'll try to be frank as possible.More Like This
First of all, I want to make it clear that what I'm gonna write applies to me and myself only. Some may agree, some may not, but I'm not asking for anyone to do so. We all have our own opinions right?
Since dA started this "point" system, many artists here started taking "point commissions". There were quite a number of people asked me for a commission in payments with points for the past couple of months, but as I have replied to all, I'm not accepting any. Still, I would like to thank those who have sent me notes/commented asking for them - I really appreciate that you have some interest in my art, and you are willing to pay something for it. I really do, please don't have any doubt about this.
However, although most of us have settled this among private notes and comments, I had
Thursday: Acronym Contest! It's another Thursday! Or as we call it,More Like This
Why am I bringing up sad dogs in the Middle East, you ask? It's all part of this week's contest!
This week, we're having an acronym contest! Your task is to spell out one or more of these words, and use each letter as the first letter to create a sentence. Your words should, generally, make a full sentence instead of a string of nonsense.
The three words are:
Take my example above as inspiration for how these should be set up. You may choose to spell out one, two, or all three acronyms!
We'll choose six winners, two for each acronym, who will receive a mystery deviantWEAR t-shirt and deviantART stickers. These are shirts that are no longer available in the store!
Winners will b
Say NO to the Internet PricesI've been observing a situation of the artist who courageously set up their prices on very decent prices (in meaning: no more 50 bucks full color image of yer characters! but almost 200$ one for her really nice character painting) where I felt so proud of her for being brave to set up the real price of the art. But I was also a witness of bunch of complaining people (mostly I noticed they were young) screaming that her art is not worth for shitload bucks.More Like This
I really wanted to slap faces of these people.
Really, who decide that someone's art is worth that price?
You do not decide how much wort is my art - as my work.
You do not know how much effort I've put into a piece, countless hours, stress, time, including also a years of practice and studies, frustration as well personal finances into the art materials.
Do you think my art is a fun hobby?
You do not decide if my art is a form of fun and what are real feelings with the artist while working on artwork as part of paid job.
