"Look at the sky. It's not dark and black and without character... the black is, in fact, deep blue. And over there: lighter blue, and blowing through the blues and blackness the winds swirling through the air and then shining, burning, bursting through: the stars! And you see how they roar their light. Everywhere we look, the complex magic of nature blazes before our eyes."This work is part of my official series of Doctor Who poster-paintings based on the newer seasons. This one is of the Eleventh Doctor as played by Matt Smith. Originally commissioned by KLCx, thank you! Ref image from the 2010 Christmas Special.
I designed this a few weeks ago, trying to capture the essence of travelling with the Doctor... it's a Tardis but not a Tardis. Just a cluster of stars in the sky in the end... I hope you guys enjoy it! (There's a Tumblr post going around that shows the design mocked up on a model - reblog here! Thank you all for your support.)
"All of time and space; everywhere and anywhere; every star that ever was. Where do you want to start?"
“Oh Amy, I hear the song of your sadness.”A painting I spent many, many hours Livestreaming, this is my tribute to the magnificent Amy Pond, who inspired Vincent van Gogh in her adventures with the Doctor. I hope if Amy stayed with Vincent longer he might've painted something like this - something that showed her inner sadness, something he could empathize with. This work is part of my official Doctor Who series.
“I’m not sad.”
“Then why are you crying?”
