The Doctor

I've moved on to the fifth season, admittedly, but I started this last week in the THROES of Ten fandom so my art might be a little behind my actual progress. It's nigh impossible to resist drawing more of David Tennant and his spindly, bestrip'ed frame.

“Listen, all you need to know is this: I trust that man to the end of the Universe. And actually, we’ve been.” ~River Song

I had never intended to finish this one (mainly because I didn’t want to learn to draw the TARDIS console), but an awesome lady commissioned me to do so, and I am pleasantly surprised by how well it turned out! Mechanical anything is not my strongpoint, and I must have used a dozen refs on that console alone, but it was worth it! Never again, but it was still worth it, hee.

A commissioned sketch-painting of River and Idris, showing the unseen moment in the S6 ep: “Let’s Kill Hitler” when River enters the TARDIS alone and hears her for the first time, after being told by the Doctor that she is “the child of the TARDIS.” :)

The Eighth and Eleventh Doctors and the last day of Gallifrey. Eight was destroyed by the Time War and forced to become a warrior; Eleven was finally absolved of that guilt.

Mixed media: watercolor and digital.  I couldn't resist drawing something with those gorgeous revamped Time Lord collars from the 50th Anniversary special!  *____*  If there was one thing I was determined to finish this year, it was this painting. Took it right down to the wire, but here it is on the last day of December!

I created yet another logo for myself - this one for my digital design class. He asked for a business card and letterhead, so I did this for my logo design! Personally, I love it a tad too much. They are just too damn cute for their own good.

I threw this together (took way longer than I was expecting!) For Gallifrey One last weekend -- on display in the art room, I ended up donating it to the Charity Auction -- I'm still trying to find out how much it sold for, and who got it (for one thing, I never had the chance to photograph any of the custom pieces I made) -- anywho, what do you guys think? All of the images are stolen from somewhere or another, I'm not the BBC or Parker Brothers, so I know this is very quasi legal, but then again, doing fun stuff like this is what us fans are for, right?

Here is what some of the cards said, as per popular request:

here are some of the cards I allready thought of:

Fantastic! Move 9 spaces!

Alonsy! Move 10 spaces

Geronimo Move 11 spaces

Are you My Mummy? Lose a turn

Don't Blink -- go 30 seconds without blinking and you may advance an extra 3 spaces. If you blink, retreat 3 spaces. Also get eaten by weeping angel statues.

It doesn't work on wood -- go back 9 spaces

your 10th regeneration has won first prize in a beauty contest, collect $20

The angels have the phone box, go straight to the 1970's (west of Drumlins)

the face of boe imparts his final secret -- collect $100

Escape from the Void (somehow) Free

Reverse the Polarity! Go directly to somewhere nice

Tardis drivers license renewal fee

from sale of adipose tablets you get $45

Sucked into void, do not pass go

visit the future, where your investments have matured

use sonic screwdriver on ATM machine, collect $100

you have been appointed lord president of the time lords, pay each player $50

travel to nearest utility, buy/pay 10 times dice roll

Take one trip in the tardis to present day earth, if you pass go collect $200

intergalactic time bank pays you $50

500 year diary runs out of pages, buy a new one pay $50

encounter fixed point in time and space, pay $100

repair K9, visit nearest enemy, if unowned, you may buy it.

slip through the time vortex to RUN, collect $200

you are summoned to Gallifrey, Wild Endeavor. Do stuff once you're there.

become 1 second out of sync with time and travel directly to the medusa cascade because of bees.

the rift pulls you 3 toward itself.

Another one down.

Note: I don't think DA likes the fact that it's a 3MB+ PNG. If the image preview isn't showing up for you - Click "Download Image".

Some edits:
- Removed 1px star-fields; better sense of scale
- Added more, larger stars.
- Adjusted light and shadows - Can you tell the differences? :P

Update: I hadn't logged into DA since last Monday and BAM - 2,500+ Notifications. My jaw kinda dropped lol. Thanks dreamwa1ker and Voyager212! Everyone else, I'm glad you enjoy the piece! :)

FREE ADIPOSE PATTERN - COMING SOON!!!  BE SURE TO KEEP CHECKING BACK!!!  :-)

I designed these Adipose plushies a few months ago to go with my Nanny Cofelia cosplay outfit for the special release of the Doctor Who series in the theater!  I thought it would be even MORE fun if my adipose were cosplaying my 2 favorite doctors:  David Tennant and Matt Smith!!

These are made of cheap materials as they are just a costume prop but they would be SUPER wonderful and cuddly in the super soft fabric I make my other plushies with!!  When I get around to it, I will be posting this pattern on DA for free!!!  :)

And here he his, the best Doctor of the revival series ponified for all to enjoy! David is a wonderful actor, his Doctor was written brilliantly and everyone i know loves him as the Doctor.

I tried to capture his seriousness in this picture with his stance and holding the sonic in between this teeth. I like how the shading on this one turned out as well. I apologize for no sideburns, any way i drew it, it just didn't look right :P

Anyways, enjoy ponified Tennant! I'll be posting one more ponified Doctor, then the big picture with all eleven!

Colin Baker's Doctor was an egocentric man in a brightly colored coat. He was the living embodiment of the 1980's and would save your world even if he didn't like you. He was... and oddball to say the least, nearly strangling Peri to death when he had regenerated.

Enjoy! (You guys should Tweet this picture to Colin @SawbonesHex ;D)

Undoubtedly the best Doctor from the classic series! This is part of my big 11 pony doctors picture, so expect that one very soon :D

I love how this turned out, I tried my best on all the doctors to capture a bit of their personalities in the expressions and body stances. I think i captured Baker's manic personality perfectly. I think the shading completes it and makes it stand out better than flat colors.

Anyways, enjoy!

Aaaand the last one!! This one was the quickest of the three, because we were running out of time fast and couldn't give it much more work if we had to print it in time for Expocomic!

She saved my ass BIG TIME there and i can't thank her enough for everything she has done with the posters in this little time! LOVE HER! A LOT! SHE'S AWESOME AND DESERVES LOVE IN AWESOME QUANTITIES!

T-SHIRT/HOODY AVAILABLE TO BUY HERE

"All of time and space; everywhere and anywhere; every star that ever was. Where do you want to start?"
I designed this a few weeks ago, trying to capture the essence of travelling with the Doctor... it's a Tardis but not a Tardis. Just a cluster of stars in the sky in the end... I hope you guys enjoy it! (There's a Tumblr post going around that shows the design mocked up on a model - reblog here! Thank you all for your support.)

EDIT 08/29/13: This design was the winner of the 2013 Design of the Year award at Threadless. You can buy the shirt/hoody here, or request a reprint if your size is sold out!

EDIT 03/07/13: Now available as a print in the official BBC Shop and from Big Chief Studios Limited.

“Oh Amy, I hear the song of your sadness.”
“I’m not sad.”
“Then why are you crying?”
A painting I spent many, many hours Livestreaming, this is my tribute to the magnificent Amy Pond, who inspired Vincent van Gogh in her adventures with the Doctor. I hope if Amy stayed with Vincent longer he might've painted something like this - something that showed her inner sadness, something he could empathize with. This work is part of my official Doctor Who series.

Little disclaimer because someone made a nasty comment! I researched van Gogh paintings like Starry Night and his Sunflowers series for this work, but I'm not claiming to be an Impressionist nor am I saying I am anywhere near as skilled as the great painter himself... this piece is a conceptual work, done with my own artistic style and choices with some influence that's meant to recall van Gogh's style. Reference from the episode "Vincent and the Doctor" from Season 5.

Please reblog instead of reposting on Tumblr! Thank you so much for your support and comments!
