October's TOP Subs of Unframed-Nature and NEWS!More Like This
Please NOTE: As the publication of last month's "September's TOP SUBS..." came out so very late, I just did NOT have time to notify those who it seemed, did not realize that they were featured. I am deeply sorry for that. Those who know me, know that it is my policy to wait about a week, then I note these articles to those who were featured, BUT only to those who it appears never realized it. I always feel that it's sad to be featured and not know it.
I simply could not physically do it, last month, and this is my feeble attempt to make up for it, by linking the whole article here, in hopes that maybe some of them will see it this way:
Now on to October's....
Welcome to October 2013’s Top Submissions of Unframed-Nature.
Thank you for being here whether you are a Member yet or not!
We welcome you and your support!
A GRAND Welcome to ALL of
She lay in the dark and criedShe lay in the dark and criedMore Like This
The darkness enveloping her like a cold lover
Drops of crystal fell from her pale eyes
And landed on the dark’s black cheek
The beating red machine inside of her was breaking
Slowly stealing the essence of her life which each broken beat
Ice covering the darkness in a velvet robe
Small comfort for the dying soul in its arms
Wrapped in its unfeeling hold
She felt nothing but despair in her heart
And ice on her soft ivory skin
Then the darkness’s loveless kiss on her trembling lips

Christmas season....I believe almost everyone, no matter what they believe, knows why Christmas is celebrated. And I am excited the season has officially started (Today is the first Sunday in Advent).More Like This
However, Christmas is so much more to me.
It's family, simple joys and beauty.
Family: I may not get to spend time with my blood family at Christmas, but family to me goes beyond blood. Some of the people I am closest to are not blood related but I consider them brothers, sisters, aunts and uncles.
Simple Joys: Everyone being more generous, the annual plate of fudge brought to work, extra baking....and so many other things that are too many to list
Beauty: Decorated homes, a calm morning or evening, fresh snow....just the world
So, during this season I will continue to share old photos, but I will also strive to add some new which show what Christmas is to me.
Everyone have a safe holiday season and Merry Christmas!
To all Canadians...Thank you.More Like This
I just found out that Californians owe their accents to Midwestern Americans as well as Canadian immigrants during the gold rush.
So to all Canadians, thank you for providing my ancestors with such a wonderful accent which I speak with now

A new group announcement hosted by aldwarke called 'RealBeowulf' :iconrealbeowulf:
A group for those who wish to write, read or talk about the epic poem Beowulf in any of the modern English translations such as by Michael Alexander, Seamus Heaney, Edwin Morgan or the version recited by Julian Glover. Or you might send pictures of related material in other forms.
The only sin you can commit on these pages is to even mention the film of this name which is a travesty of the story.
Tribute to Hunter S. ThompsonMore Like This
We, my friend, are not like the rest of them,
we, my friend, are the uncommon freak.
Obsessions with addictions and addicted to our conscious.
We, my Friend, are not like the others.
Age itself drew a line,
there is a limit to how many things can be fine.
Blood on our streets, angels being beat
as the man with the coonskin dances on his feet.
We knew how to use our enemies to make a quick buck.
I'd have know more if my luck hadn't struck.
We'd be great friends or acquaintances, at that.
My eyes are now open to what the world has spat,
A barbie doll president and his plans to make change.
"We'd knock down those pins in that empty bowling lane."
You have no pity to what you have done,
No shame to what, or who, you called fun.
God knows they did but we wouldn't care
Oh, Hunter Thompson how I wish I was there.
