M O R N I N G came fast; fog hovered over huge gaping trees as the orange sun rose behind the hotel. Zak was shivering with his baggy hoodie on; he covered his face with gloves whenever he could. Nick tossed suitcases to him frantically, and Zak packed them into the GAC van. Their tiny silhouettes formed a small assembly line, passing luggage to luggage.
Zak wiped his brow and gazed toward the sun. He winced at the sight of the big burning bulb; Nick smiled and shut the trunk.
"Time to head out," Nick said.
