Sarah called out, "Navo!"
"Yeah?" said a muffled voice from behind her.
She jumped and spun around but quickly composed herself as the gruff man fumbled toward her over the loose boulders.
"Where have you been Navo?" she inquired, "I've been looking all over for you."
"I was fixing up the rabbit snares," he replied as he stretched his back and arms.
"Am I not more important than a dozen snares?" she retorted.
"Yeah-yeah, I get it, you want attention."
Sarah gasped angrily and made as if to slap him but he ducked and wrapped his arms around her.
"Wha-! Navo! You let go of me this instant!" she sputtered angrily.
"No ma'am, I ain't letting go till you a plant a big juicy one on my cheek." Navo's smile spread from ear to ear.
"Navo, I swear I will scream if you do not let go of me right now," Sarah said, mustering up every bit of seriousness in her body.
Navo let go of her but kept one hand on her wrist, "Ah, come on, Sarah. You know I was only joking. It's not like anyone would hear you
