It was my fault.
The blinding light hit me before I was able to react, slamming me into the foreign ground, paralysed. These people didn’t care about me or my family, they came for one thing. Him. They were dragging him now, away from us. I could hear them: the cries, shouts for help; the occasional zaps from weapons shooting him, making him weak, lifeless, paralysed. Like me.
