But to call Ryan an Objectivist, or Rapture an undersea version of "Galt's Gulch" is completely false.
I grow tired of people pointing to the game as "Here! Here is why Objectivism doesn't work!", so I decided to explain just why this isn't true (not in any particular order):
5. Starting the game, you have a wonderful sequence in the bathysphere where Ryan is giving a little speech. It's a good speech, and he certainly starts off sounding similar to Rand. But then the screen falls to show the glorious city under the sea, and he says "A city where the artist would not fear the censor, WHERE THE SCIENTIST WOULD NOT BE BOUND BY PETTY MORALITY, where the great would not be constrained by the small!"
