Second painting for my friends project. Post apocalyptic US harbour after battle. Again I like doing this alot. Ships and rusting things are my favourite themes. The ship is slightly modern version of current US cruiser. Hope you like it as me. Done in some 20 hours with tablet and photoshop.
Just some newer picture done for my mate's project. Its a scene from post-apocalyptic future. The theme is really great for me, so there will be more pictures soon. Older damaged submarine is repaired to use it as energy source.
Done in some 25 hours, was a bit complicated painting. I used many photos of the actual dockyard for an inspiration.
EDIT: Thanks so much for the DD! Wow, I didn't anticipate waking up to this! Comments and questions welcome!
EDIT TWO: I've had a lot of comments saying that this is like The Last of US. Just to set the record straight in case folk thought I ripped it off, I hadn't heard of that game until a while after I'd made this. It was however, inspired by a short animation called RUIN. So check that out. But the spirit of it was inspired partly by this quote from Fight Club...
"Imagine," Tyler said, "stalking elk past department store windows and stinking racks of beautiful rotting dresses and tuxedos on hangers; you'll wear leather clothes that will last you the rest of your life, and you'll climb the wrist-thick kudzu vines that wrap the Sears Tower. Jack and the beanstalk, you'll climb up through the dripping forest canopy and the air will be so clean you'll see tiny figures pounding corn and laying strips of venison to dry in the empty car pool lane of an abandoned superhighway stretching eight-lanes-wide and August-hot for a thousand miles."
Heres a new quick piece. Took me around 3h ( probably less ). I could still refine some things on it and add more detail and fix a few mistakes. But I'm pretty happy with it and I think it conveys what I wanted, so I'm moving on to another image
Hi!! This is one of the illustrations I made for the PSN game Under Siege (currently on sale!) This was made about 1.5 years ago! This was part of a larger panoramic image but I cropped it to post here
Here is another image to continue my series on some of the concept art is did for Capcom's remake of Bionic Commando. This image shows an area in which part of a town has actually sank into the fissure below.
Hey friends and fans! Here's one of dozen of pieces I've done for Naughty Dog's PS3 exclusive, The Last of Us, slated for release on May 7th, 2013 (i urge you to try the game when it's out, you won't regret any $$ spent!). This piece was done mid/late 2010 I believe and I'm happy that I can share it right now.
Back with an update on my 3D project. This is one of the primary locations to be featured in the film...a bombed out city, apparently almost devoid of life. But as the local garrison troops are about to find out, that is far from the truth...
A really quick sketch. Dunno, felt like I hadn't uploaded anything for a while I'm working on a graphic novel so most paintingtime goes into that, I'll probably show it here when it's done. Just wanted to let you know
I've been really inspired lately by Tom Kidd's paintings and movies like Avatar. I felt like doing a something with a similar feeling. I spent a lot of time polishing this one up and I'm really happy with the results.
