A piece of a promotional trailer for Megiddo Heights that was extinguished by depression caused by my under-developed Flash skills (at that time). May finish it, but don't stare too long; those 3 frames can murder ya retinas. Vim(c)me
Important: Do not install the Start menu orb! This feature is broken and you will get black screens! Use Standard or Custom install instead!
I discovered the Portal games several months ago, and they are two of my favorites games! So I wanted to make a theme based on Aperture Science, the company which created GlaDOS and the Enrichment Center... I'm not a graphic artist, nor a theme designer, so my theme will use Aero visual style, but the installer can modify more things than the theme files managed by Windows 7.
It includes: Wallpaper Aero color Cursors Desktop icons (Computer, Network, User, Recycle Bin) Screensaver Sounds¹ User Folders and Libraries icons² Start menu orb - Broken, you will get black screen if you install this. Logon screen background ¹ Sounds include characters voices, and they are available in English and French. To have the English sounds, choose the English installation. To have French sounds, choose French installation. ² Beta version, some icons may not change.
This theme do not modify any system file! All customizations are made by modifying fully reversible settings. All details about each component are included in a ReadMe showed during installation. Please read it carefully!
System requirements: _ Windows 7 (32 or 64 bit) - Also works on Windows 8 CP for default installation _ NET Framework 2.0 or later (for some parts of the installer), included with 7 _ To run the screensaver, Adobe Flash Player → [link]
______________ well, finally, a proper formal reintroduction of the main antagonist of the Syron story. For those of you unfamiliar, this is Kaius Grey, Syron's pyromaniac of a father, and owner of the beta strain of the Hylex crystal mutation, which allows him to conduct and manipulate the energy wavelengths responsible for thermal radiation and heat.
This project took alot longer than I initially planned, but I had an idea for it for a while (since march? I dunno.). This was also me really pushing my limits on my still painting quality, and I can honestly say I haven't crossed into this level of detail before, and I'm pretty proud of how I did. This is a combination of frame-by-frame animation and silhouette work, flash scripting, and aftereffects work all in one (seriously theres probably 80 lines of code controlling the functions in this, and couple that with more voice acting from me. Think of it as the counterpart to Metamorphosis which you received earlier this year. I'll provide a slightly more detailed look at Kaius steamgloves and design work when I upload the still image later on, including the concept drawings which I worked on long before actually starting his painted design. Honestly, the reason this particular animation took so long was me taking an old character of mine, redesigning it with my current influences in mind (and not sonic ones, gah) and rendering it to the best of my abilities.
So how'd I do?
Also, alot of this was inspired by cold-war American nuclear-age themes and Fallout inspiration. It was intended to be done in that manner as Kaius represents a more dangerous yet slightly older and unrefined technology in comparison to Syron, who is more controlled and streamlined, yet not as volatile. Was an unusual twist for me, but overall, this project pushed some major boundaries for me and kicked all sorts of a$$ in the process.
Thanks for your patience with me this year, (i know I'm slow to upload, but now you know why) you can view the full quality still here:
I'm still a little butt-hurt from the New 52 retcons but to me, the Court of Owls is probably the best villain to be added to the Bat rogues gallery since the classics. Their design is iconic and the way Scott Snyder introduced them was great, he has the perfect writing style for Batman. He just... gets the character, between him and Capulo's art I haven't enjoyed a main ongoing this much in a long time. :]
Also want to note that this piece was inspired by Djurdjevic's amazing cover for Daredevil Issue#100
A table of elements I'm working on called the Elemental Eye. That's all I'm willing to say about the project it will be used in for now, but it is not Pokemon; elements and typing have been around in games for a LONG time before that! It is based on an extended version of the five chinese elements, the Wu Xing. Here's a few more details on the eye:
I wanted something in the shape of a symbol you could call up on a screen quickly to look at. I also wanted it to be fairly simple and not too 'spidery' and cross-crossing like Pokemon's type system; there are a few other little details that should be noted, mostly to do with what monster design would fit in where:
MYTH -------------------- Not only will you find dragon-type designs here, but anything based on signature legendary creatures such as Griffins, Minotaurs, etc.
Myth and legend are created by the minds of man, but equally able to confuse them
MIND ------------------ Designs based around psychic and magical powers - powers based on the mind, obviously - will be under this element.
The minds of man create myth, but can be confounded by their presence
VOID ------------------- Ghost and Dark-based designs - as well as anything sinister and supernatural - will be found under the Void element.
Void casts a shadow over the earth and blackens it with taint
EARTH ------------------- Rock and ground-based designs are all under the Earth element umbrella term. No need to over-complicate things.
Earth grounds the storm's lightning and passes it harmlessly through its form
LIGHTNING -------------------- Anything based around electricty will be a lightning element. I was tempted to headline this under 'air' but designs like my electric snail, for example, would look a little weird being an Air element there are also creatures in nature that use electricity as a weapon so making it a seperate element makes more sense.
Lightning splits the clouds and sky, arcing unrestrained through the air
AIR ----------------- Designs based around flying creatures or sky/cloud based creations are classed as air. Anything thay may use wind and wings as a weapon.
Air can turn to mighty winds, hurling the strongest of matter as if it were nothing
MATTER ------------------ I may change this to Might or Brawn, I'm unsure yet. This is your fighting type designs, anything that bases its attacks on enhanced muscle strength or martial arts fighting skills.
Matter contains almighty strength that can bend even metals with focused force
METAL ------------------- Anything that has metal as a primary design feature is in this element. Metal is one of the five elements of the Wu Xing and is traditionally the counter of Wood, but I had to make some adjustments.
Metal is resilient to viruses and unyielding to poisonous corruption
BIO ------------------ Designs that use poison in any form (including radiation and industrial substances) will be classified under 'Bio'. Although I could have looped this under 'nature' at a stretch, designs like Tartar and other industrial ideas would look a little strange without this element.
There is no living thing found in nature that can't be felled by germ or poison
NATURE ------------------ Compiling bug and grass into nature seems pretty logical to me, so that's the designs you can expect to be found under this element.
Every living thing found in nature takes sustenance from the waters of life
WATER ------------------- I've combined water and ice into the one 'water' type; ice is frozen water, so why not? Any design based on snow, ice, water or aquatics will be classified as the water element.
Water and cold takes the rage and aggression from heat and flame
FIRE -------------------- Should be obvious, this one if it's fire or heat? It's a fire element.
Even the smallest flame can light the darkness and keep the void at bay
Sorry, this is a personal work and can't be used by others.

I prepare for the noble war. I'm calm; I know the secret. I know what's coming, and I know no one can stop me, including myself. I kill people I like. Some of them beg for their life. I don't feel sad. I don't feel anything.
