He long his wife he once had, his daughter's suicide will never be forgotten like the tattoo he has for her to remind of his failed role as a father. Homer, no longer the happy fool whom he use to be, now wanders alone in seeking the only light left in his life, his wanders in search for his missing son and 2nd daughter...
*ppl actaully sent note regarding the story and maggie, etc so I thought I'd elaborate a bit more, and keep in mind it's just random bs that came up while drawing him"
In my head I just suddenly pictured this really lonely matured Homer, who lost everything he had in his life because he never learned from his mistakes, and I guess in my imaginery world, after marge died from a drink and drive car accident after a party even which Homer drank too much) Homer changed from the fool that he is and became really depressed, failing even more to take care of his family, Liza, always smarter one, had to take on the responsibility of taking care of the family, and Homer's continue irresponsbility has pushed the weight that Liza had to carry beyond the limit, and led to her suicide. Bart and Maggie blame Homer for her and their mom's death and left Homer for good. ;D
Okay okay I know there's probably about a million artist renditions of the Simpsons out the but I had the urge to join the club.
Now the first thing that those die-hard Simpsons fans out there will probably notice is the extra fingers on those hands!!! It was a bit of a thought process and I did try to do just three fingers... but it just didn't look right at all... hence the atomically correct 4 fingers
I dont care who disagrees or thinks otherwise.... drawing Marge's hair successfully is no easy feet!! lol
so this is my rendition of the lovably family... I hope everyone likes my choices on clothes and attitudes etc
I put alot of love into the colouring of this pic (why I havn't uploaded the lines) I put alot of effort in and I hope its paid off...
anyway essay over... please let me know what you think!!!
Well, here's part of what I promised in my journal.
I drew this three months ago, and only decided to scan and cell-shade it yesterday. It's the start of many more of my pictures to come, so be ready to see more as I do them.
So, here we have Lisa Simpson in my interpretation of an anime version of her. Of course, being a totally different style makes her not really like her Simpson namesake. I gave her 10 spikes instead of the 9 she has in the cartoon, but this is my interpretation, so I can do what I want, nes pa? ^_~
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this, as I loved drawing it and even more the cell-shading! Photoshop CS3 is a blast! ^^
[update] also watch this new version [link] [/update]
This idea is already old news, but i wanted to do it too(it makes me feel cool)
simpsons in anime style, in my anime style
the hardest part was lisas hair, her hair is just so unnatural, compared to that is marges hair a paradise to draw
i gave bart a new shirt because his normal red shirt is kinda oldschool for a teenager(as you can tell, i drew them older)
i already planned a few storys around those(in my version they are half japanese(obviously) and half american. Marge would be the japanese part. XP) but the story would be mainly about lisa and bart in school(just like every other slice-of-life anime)
This is the first piece of fanfic inspired art I have made in a long time. As you can probably tell, this one is a Simpsons fanfiction. Unusual, yes... but it was really fantastic. It has the two shinigami from the manga/anime Full Moon wo Sagashite in it, and also Sasha and Misha from Pita Ten show up. Plus, there are lot's of anime references. Part of the story involves Lisa being magically transformed into a teenager by the shinigami. Teenage Lisa goes by the alias "Leese." I just really wanted to draw her with her death-spirit companions... Gee, I hope the author doesn't mind...
Oh yes, the name of the fanfiction is "Full Life wo Sagashite" and it is by Rich Wilson.
I used to watch all the Simpsons episodes as they came along. Now I watch them every now and then but its still fun to watch. I drew this one the other day because I just couldn't take my brother anymore. I wanted to knock him out with something so he'd shut up for once. (My brother loves video games, but when things get a little "too challenging" he starts swearing and freaking out at the game... doesn't matter what time it is either...)
Rather than to exert my anger towards him, at him, I drew this. Made me feel oodles better and when I look at it, it seems to calm me down.
A famous moment from the very first Simpsons episode, "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire", pictured here: [link]
I'd been wanting to do some special version of this picture for years. It only hit me yesterday that a Norman Rockwell version would be perfect. Except, well...Rockwell was a master of painting, anatomy and giving life to his figures, and I am not. I tried my best though, and took full advantage of my access to a huge Cintiq.
Homer looks frightening in this. Homer always looks frightening out of his element.
This was very hard. Rockwell's style is nearly the exact opposite of mine. It was a fun challenge, but it's not something I'll attempt again.
Another animated gif from Simpsons episode 30 minutes over Tokyo.
The last part when the pilot says: “Uh, folks, we’re experiencing some moderate Godzilla-related turbulence at this time, so I’m going to go ahead and ask you to put your seatbelts back on. When we get to 35 thousand feet, he usually does let go, so from there on out, all we have to worry about is Mothra, and, uh, we do have reports he’s tied up with Gamera and Rodan at the present time. Thank you very much.”
Bart Simpson's Treehouse of Horror #14 coming September 24, 2008!
A few months ago, I was asked by Bongo Comics to pencil a 15-page story for this year's annual Simpsons Halloween issue. It's called "Murder He Wrote," and is a direct parody of Death Note done in a manga style. You can see a news stub about it here: [link]
If you can't find it in stores, search it on Google -- there are plenty of places where you can order it online.
This is just a picture I did for fun to help promote the issue! If you liked this, check out my other piece: Theee Deaaath Nooote.
UPDATE (August 12, 2009): "Murder He Wrote" won the 2009 Eisner Award for Best Short Story!!
Zia Simpson is one the latest characters to be made from The Simpsons so no she is not a fan made character. She is an Official Character. She is the daughter of Lisa and Millhouse in the latest episode of The Simpsons.
This is the result of me being excited about the Simpsons movie (JULY 27TH, MARK YOUR CALENDARS. I'M ASKING OFF WORK AND GOING TO A DIFFERENT THEATER SO THEY DON'T WRITE ME UP FOR SHOWING UP TO WATCH A MOVIE ON A DAY I ASKED OFF!! HAHAAA! My evil plan.), and listening to Simpsons mp3s. Plus this is like, my second family. They raised me. Everything I know I learned from the Simpsons. ...Which is probably something that I shouldn't brag about. XD
Aside from the fact that it's labeled "the Simpsons" could you tell who they are?
My mom walked by while I was working on it (also, before it was colored) and she was like "Oh, how cute! An old guy! I've never seen you draw an old guy." Then I told her to guess who they were and she couldn't get it. She guessed that Lisa was me, for starters. XD Oh well, that's parents.
Anyway, I know that, like, every single person on all of deviantART has done this before, so I'm not going to make a big deal about it. I just wanted to draw them my way-ish. Anime-ish. Whatever. It's been done. No big deal. I just thought it'd be fun.
Bart looks like he's a teenager, which is not good. He's 10. Marge looks thouroughly upset with life... which I didn't mean to make her look like. XD *sings* because they're happy, just the way they arrrrrrree~!
You have no idea how hard it is to refrain from typing out that whole song right now.
Anyway... uh... oh yeah. I hope that censored fingers don't bother anyone, 'cause I'm not going to put on any sort of 'mature content' filter when I think it's already censored enough. If it offends you, let me know.
Then again, maybe it is a bit vulgar... I mean, Bart really is a little shit-disturber, but how bad can he be? Oh well. I like it. So deal with it. Or complain. Whichever suits you best. XD
How do all of the kids have blonde hair? No one in all of the Simpson family (direct family, at least) has blonde hair. Well, then agian, I guess it's yellow, not blonde.
OH WELL. Okay, I'm done.
Simpsons (c) Matt effing Groenig. This man is a genius.
From The Simpsons!
That's the ONLY cartoon I never get sick of.
Yeah, you can say it.
Milhouse is emo.
JUST. Don't type it to me if you're on about flaming it :] DUUUURRRH WHY'D YOU MAKE MILHOUSE EMO?!?! YOU JUST TOTALLY WRECKED A GOOD CHARACTERRRRRRR! DUURRN!"

I've been too scared to use the artist oils in Painter so I decided to try them out on something fun. I was going for a Van Gogh look on one of my favorite cartoon characters of all time, Mr. Homer J. Simpson! I want to do a series of portraits of famous men and women that I admire using different techniques...experiment. This took about 2 hours in Painter and some touching up in Photoshop...Hope you likes!
Update: Made fence thinner, moved mailbox to the right more and made it bigger (thanks ), no more neon grass (thanks ) moved a cloud so its more visible, made a crack in the sidewalk.
Started making this a week ago. Took a break to make Loco Roco Treso. Spent the rest of the week on and off finishing it up. The plant life is kinda weird but the attempts I made before going "spherey" were so much more horrible.
"Flaming Moe's" is the 10th episode of the third season (8F08). It's a very nice episode where Homer invented a new drink the "Flaming Homer" But Moe's Tavern is in financial trouble, so Moe steals Homer's recipe and begins serving the "Flaming Moe" as his own concoction. Moreover there are Aerosmith in this episode!!
I find the recip on the Internet! * 1 part Tequila * 1 part Schnapps * 1 part Creme de Menthe * 1 tbsp Colonel Krusty Brand Non-Narkotic Cough Syrup For Kids Set on fire, then extinguish paying careful attention so as not to ignite your furry friend. Enjoy in moderation.
When the weight of the world has got you down and you want to end your life; Bills to pay, a dead-end job, and troubles with the wife. Don't throw in the towel 'cause there's a place right down the block Where you can drink your misery away...
At Flaming Moe's Let's all go to Flaming Moe's Where liquor in a mug Can warm you like a hug And happiness is just a Flaming Moe away...
Hey! another Simpson's advertising, the famous Squishee from the Kwik-E-Mart! I take the logo from real Markets opened in USA (Lucky you!!). There is an episode in the fifth season "Boy Scoutz N the Hood" (1F06) where Bart and Milhouse are totally addictive by the sugar of Squishee and having hallucinations, very nice!!
