baby bluesHave you ever looking into someone's eyes and it completely catches you off guard and makes you hold your breath for just a moment too long? That's what happened to me when he pulled of the aviators that he'd been wearing. They'd just been eyes underneath tinted glass but now they were like looking into a sky frozen in place. An ice blue that makes the words freeze in your throat, and your mouth hang open just a tad. The world unhinged itself, and quit spinning for just a second. I didn't know what to say to break the silence that grew between us. Sitting next to him, the memory locking itself away in my mind as well as in my heart, I felt so right. Everything seemed to slow down, time trickling by, almost defeated by just one second of recognition. The sun glittering down, there was no sound, just me, looking at him, and then words came to me.More Like This
"Your eyes are amazing " I whispered.
There was just more silence, as he looked at me, as if he didn't understand.

Think Hope and see the face of the last person who encouraged you when no one else did. See a lighthouse beacon burning its way through the fog when you are lost at sea. See your cell-phone light up just when you thought no one cared. See a smile on the face of your love interest when you finally say I love you.
Think Love and maybe you see the faces of your parents. See an image of a child holding their new puppy. Perhaps you see a wedding ring, or your current love laying on a bed wearing nothing but the sheets.
Think Peace and see images of white flags. See large quiet open fields. See children sleeping with smiles on their faces. See an old hippie giving a familiar hand sign.
