To see a rainbow in the bone-dry sky
From a dirty window
you know it cant
but like that second
before the coming and the going
the knowing and the happening
when everything falls into place
theres no denying it.
So when you come to the glass
and you can only see
to the other side,
pick me up
and break it.
The White Marauder
I am the arrow
Launched from an invisible west
I am the smoke
From the end of days
I am a flash of silver
Before the dying plunge
I am the shadow
That remains at noon
And I am the reflection
You fear behind the glass.
I will never stop
Mine are the foot-falls of Hell
but my smile is that of an angel.
DemonMore Like This
She was born in the usual human way, structurally she was the same as any human child. Except for one feature, the pale, skin coloured wings that stretched out from her back. Disregarded as a human even before birth. Her mother had named her Victoria, but Demon they called her. How did they know she wasn't human before birth you wonder? You see, Demon's mother claimed to never know the point of conception. She didn't even think that she had done any act that would produce an offspring. But still, Demon was here, she was real, and she was crying.
The midwife had given Demon's mother the choice of euthanasia, and was refused by greatly angered words. She claimed that Victoria was still a human being, despite the defect. She had hoped for the best that Victoria would grow up like any other little girl. However, no matter how hard she had tried, Victoria was always be known as Demon to the others of the village. Due to the frustration, torments and ridicules, Victoria ado
Reach for the StarsReach for the stars - if you fall, you'll land somewhere inbetweenMore Like This
When the world turns its back on you
And you feel all alone
Don't lose faith in what's inside
And let it overcome
Stand up for what you trust in
Believe you can achieve
Try your hardest, don't give up
And soon you will perceive
The only person who can do
The things of which you long
Is you, yourself, and you alone
If faith and dreams are strong
Remember that you are unique
Pretty, smart, and good
You will find you overcame
For you believed you could.
So fight against the pessimist
Reach up to the stars
And when you look back at your life
Be proud of who you are
Guilty ShadowsLike a terrible creatureMore Like This
From a long past age
It hovers above us
The darkness falls on us
We hear the wingbeats, the mighty roar
We shiver in fear.
We all know it.
This creature is black as night
Cold as ice
It swoops down on us, unexpected
Diving into our soul
Taking over our mind
Its wings surround us
Alone in swirling darkness
Unable to see
This monster cannot be apprehended
Cannot be avoided
We are prey
There is no escape

A bitter wind blows harshly, and takes away my breath.
The stars shine black and cold down as I shiver in my bed,
I try to fight away the voices in my head.
At first they start off quietly, but soon they start to grow,
Yelling out their anger 'til my head starts to explode.
They drag me through the spiral, in the endless downward fall.
They laugh at me as I break down, I cannot take it all.
I block my ears to hide my mind, but still the voice breaks through,
Telling me I'm stupid, I'm not good enough for you.
Telling me to just give in, accept my useless self,
Calling me beyond the reach of any proffered help
At first a wave of worthlessness crashes into my mind,
The seas of guilt and loneliness make me leave the shore behind.
The clouds of anger broil above, hot tears sting my cheeks,
And nothing's left to give me strength, when I now feel so weak.
I cry out to the darkened skies, won't someone hear my call?
Grab my hand and take m
Guardian AngelQuietly, she sits:More Like This
Looking over the people below
Perched on her rock
Stumbles into the water
The head? Gone
She unfurls her wings
Crashes through the surface of the water
No congratulations –
No one sees.
Hers is a solitary job.
A smile graces her pale lips
A light shines in her eye
Dripping, she perches on the rock
Waiting for someone to save
Sometimes people look up
Stop their play
Wonder why the sharks leave…
The child recovers…
No one slips…
The storm dispels…
They are safe.
"If you look carefully enough,"
"You can see her.
Sun reflecting off a golden halo
Silver wings shimmering
A flash of white
On a solitary rock."
They have a guardian
And she soars through the skies
Protecting the innocent
A solitary figure under the moon
A shooting star
A shining light
It is a lonely job
I'll be thereWhen the nights are dark and lonelyMore Like This
And you feel like no one cares
When you hate the burden of your life
And fear the coming years
When you cry at the deeds of others
And no one notices your pain
When you want to end your existence
Stop living this life in vain
When you think you are a failure
Know no reason to survive
When you want to hide in a corner
To lay down your load and die
Just remember I'll always love you
I always will be there
I'll cry for you when you are sad
And when you win, I'll cheer
I'll watch for you when things go wrong
And notice when it hurts
I'll pick you up when you fall down
And land right in the dirt
I'll be there when no one else will
I'll see when you need friends
I'll care for you and dry your tears
Until the bitter end
I'll be your rock and your shelter
Your comfort in hard times and blue
And when you look back on these troubled times
You'll know I was there for you!
What Were You Thinking? What were you thinking?More Like This
That you were smart?
That they wanted you?
You were wrong
They threw you aside
Like a rag doll
They called you a liar
You said "But its true!"
They threw rocks and dirt at you
Though you never stopped
When they threatened to kill you
You never stopped
What were you thinking?
Were you trying to prove a point?
Rise in knowledge?
Overcome evryone else and rule?
You wanted only one thing
You were right
They got on their hands and knees
And begged for your secrets
They said "Please!"
But you said "No."
Even when you were alone you never stopped
You tossed aside everyone else's thoughts
You drew out a piece of chalk
You got down on your hands and knees
And you drew something that was what others called worthless
And as I sat in the darkness of my room alone
A bright light erupted from the floor
You were right
I knew your were right from start
The Troll under the BridgeThe troll squatted under the bridge, watching the girl walk towards him. He had watched her for nigh on three years; he watched as she had grown from a little girl of around fifteen to a beautiful young woman; watched as she switched her jeans and coat for shorts and sunglasses as the seasons turned, and then back again; watched as her chestnut hair grew steadily longer, blowing in the breeze.More Like This
She would walk down this road early every weekday morning, school bag in hand, and then walk back in the late afternoon. At the weekends she would walk up here with a little dog on a lead. He saw her practically every day, singing softly to herself as she walked. Seeing her was the highlight of each day for him.
He ached to know her, this captivating mortal girl he obsessed over. What happy thoughts had she been thinking that had put such a bewitching smile on her face, though no-one but him had seen it, as shed walked alone last week? Why had she been frowning as she walked yesterday?
