Judge MeJudge me
More Like This
Hang me out to dry
When I've been dripping from the fluids of reality
The love, lies, tears, sex
Every teary eye
Ring me out, twist me and turn me
Until you're looking at me differently
Same being in this vessel
It's your eye that is no longer the same
But no matter
Look upon my being, my fibres
Scorching holes in the fabric
With your judging, twisting eyes
Flame me, burn me, spit your acid
I am here and I will be here
And all that I can be, and all that I was
Or will be
In plain sight on these planes
Ran out of apologies, fake smiles, hopes
You see me now blackened, broken, charred
Dampened by the sodden stench-filled drips
Coming from the leak you've taken all over my life
An audience feeling foul
I submit, and lay on this stage.
Hang me out to dry.
Rinse me in the flames
Because I'm done with this.
Colour My DreamsYou colour my dreams, drifting.
More Like This
The robin red of all my passion is funnelled
Through your lips, or...
The wine of your blood, running sweet.
The blues of my sadness at leaving for home
Are the rioting rivers inside your soul,
Under your skin,
Your green eyes taint all of my excitement,
The wonder at new things,
Tastes, smell, touch..
Sight of those eyes each morning.
Yellow hues entwined into your hair,
The locks shining at me, with a wink
Colour my dreams with warmth and good
A corn field.
I wander slowly in this content haze,
Mazes of my mind in colour,
Colours that fill my world with the emotions
Of a new lamb or a child, wondrous.
Through the mists and mazes
And masses of thoughts,
All I know is this:
You are the pigment of my imagination.
