Yesterday I had to say farewell to this little guy, because we finally found a good home for him. A ferrell cat had a litter of kittens (AGAIN!) in my backyard, and unlike last time, we were not able to keep them because our house for already full of animals. When we first took the kittens in, I was certain that he was going to die within the first hour. But both he and his sister survived and are at good homes
Happy Halloween 2011 everyone. I made this last night just in time for today! Why a see-through kitty you ask? Well I have got a few reasons: 1- a cat bolted infront of me a few days ago an I hit full on with my car. (I cried for about a half hour over this thing). So this is like a memoral to the cat. 2. Kinda a play on my username "tabby-like-a-CAT" 3- It's halloween so why the hell not?
Yay for original titles! So, I wanted to draw something different and practise drawing realistic animals. I've found one really beatiful photo and deciced to dedicate it to my grandparents because they have beautiful white cat too. And another thing - this was my first try with Prismacolor pencils and I must say they are really great!
Prismacolor pencils on black paper, about 8 hours of work
I've been seeing Nyan Cats everywhere, it's a total invasion I tell ya! That's how I got the idea. Also Joel was one of my inspirations with his crazy duckies and bunnehs Original Nyan Cat creator is Chris Torres (PRguitarman) [link] omg XD How long have you been Nianning?
=glowingkitten wished for a painting of her black kitty. I think she may have meant a physical painting, but the digital is my realm.
I've loved photo this is based off of ever since I saw it, and when I saw that she wanted a painting of this same kitty, I just had to do something with that photo. I changed the setting to winter, to the first snow, and this little kitty is looking up at an individual flake with wonder and joy. So mysterious, this small little bit of white.
