Caption: The cold-blooded murderer who will eventually tear Dr. Jekyll's soul apart and turn everything he treasures in his life to nothing but a pile of ashes.

This is the first of a series of photographs that a friend and I are working on for a monthly basis. Every month we'll take a series of shots based on the theme of Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde, with each month's photographs depicting whatever significant holiday or event that happens to take place at that time. Since it's the first time we're both taking on such a project, I hope you'll give us some support and constructive comments. Thanks for viewing! :^D

My first attempt at science fiction :). She's somehow like a bionic hybrid or something like that.... don't ask :D

Photoshop, the usual 60-100 hours, some texturized brushes applied and a lot of hours of researching for machinery and futuristic cities :D.

a day in PS CS :o

Done for an A1 poster for my diplomashow... ;_; damn school.

Its recycled and remade material from a scene of my Final Year animation project(solo), Konnimo: Our Phantom Skies...

In this mood shot, I wanted to show the real back-world behind the film, one which was vast and foreboding. The carrier Den Mother is in dry-air dock with a hulking command tower, getting rearmed and repaired automatically. Vertical idea was pushed because I wanted a universal idea of courage and fearlessness -representative of space flight (with a nifty solid fuel rocket). The clouds and acrid gases I hope, add to that effect! :) The vast cityscape below can be seen if u peer closely enough.

I hope diploma show goes well, its been hell thus far, 4 am and I'm still laying out my portfolio [which btw is ghastly] :(

#$@%!^

an hour, pscs2, default brush set [most if not all are hard round, or feathered]

A block-and-paint type approach for speedpainting of sorts, done for an ad hoc 'demo session' at CG Overdrive on its last day at the Singapore Expo. Its been too long since I've handled this approach, something I've been trying to stay away from, way too much mental work involved <: (

Enjoy the simple moments :D Goodnight

Surrounded by mountains, the waters of an evening sea, a delicate sunset and the activity of a large city; An ancient temple stands high, dwarfed by life and framed in nature.

This piece was created in Photoshop CS and a Wacom Intous 2 tablet.

Original res: 4600x3500
~18-19 hours.

Finally colored. I'm going for a less finished look this time (because it just takes too long for me to do finished pieces). The edges are rough, and some pencil lines are left there to complete the somewhat sketchy feel. I got quite tired of it near the end, so I did one of those typical cheese explosions for the background. :XD:

This is a little bit of a revisit to an old idea – “Orbit” was originally just me mucking about but became very popular for prints and publishing – however I never really thought that much about it at the time (I was literally just sketching space art as a bit of fun between projects). I loved the idea of the piece so now, 8 years on I've had another stab at it. :)

“A highly advanced race builds an enormous spaceport off the coast of a continent, dwafing the 20km high skyscrapers on the land, the main structure brushing the cloud layers with near 100km diameter docking spurs surrounding it. Built above the main structure, another level that is beyond the atmosphere – allowing craft to dock without braving the weather on the planet”

Painted in Adobe PS CS3
Wacom Intous 3 Tablet
Original res 5k wide
About 20-22 hour work.
I used some great photos of Earth from space as reference for the world.

Book now out :)

Made after one of my speedpainting (1h30), an attempt to paint a SF landscape in a bright, natural environment, PS-CS about 3H on top of the speedie, lots of custom brushwork. This image received an Excellence Award on Expose 4 (Ballistic Publishing).

This one is for all you picture puzzle maniacs, who just like I like to stare into image and nitpick every detail that can tell you a little story told on the canvas :] There is aground ten (not gonna tell you exactly how many) storytelling elements in this picture, some of them are obvious, some of them are not, and some of them you can see only in closeups. So if you wanna mess around a bit, find and connect all those pieces together into a short story that this picture is showing. Just post them as a comments - I promise I'm gonna read trough all of them and best of them will be featured in my journal one week form now.
So lets the mini tiny contest begin :D

As for picture itself It was made for ImagineFX magazine workshop section. Featured in upcoming issue 27, that should be on the market around January 12 so if you can get it - get it :] Workshop is very extensive, showing my workflow and how I do the things I do, all with 30+ screenshot from production and few useful tips :] Hope you gonna like it

Image was done by hand in Photoshop, few references used but nothing significant. And I know that reflection in icicle is not realistic, but I did it on purpose to point something out - yes it is a clue :D

Crits and comments always welcome and remember about mini tiny story contest :D

Some closeups can be found here: [link]

Did a sketch on monday of a skull & gasmask combo....its looked cool so i spent a few more hours and here is the result:)

as for the whole tie thing....well the poor junk-bot just wants to fit in and look as smart as the rest of man kind:)

i really didnt want much colour in this at all so that the tie could stand out strongest.

also didnt work too much on the background, wanted more focus on the character.

ok enough ranting.....enjoy:P

And yeah adding quotes to an image is a bit corny but I like It. I usually have one song that I listen the most during picture painting and I though its kinda cool to mention it as in my head its completing the image
