A packaging illustration for the Star Wars miniatures line entitled "Galaxy at War".

All of these SW's pieces are painted around 11x17" size. This piece was mostly acrylic. I think I used a few subtle oil washes here and there, and of course you can see some colored pencil in the background.

Dreadlocks I like, head tendrils... not so much. I don't know, I'm just not a huge fan, and the the Star Wars universe seems to be rampant with them.

Nevertheless, we have Mr. Fisto sporting his legendary smile and two lightsabers. I wanted to show him bare chested under water, but apparently the miniatures figure had this particular outfit, so we had to go this direction.

The art was commissioned for a packaging illustration for the Star Wars miniatures line entitled "Galaxy at War".

Medium: acrylic, oil and colored pencil with little bursts of airbrush here and there.

Size: 11x17"

So this was yet another Star Wars character that I was unfamiliar with until this assignment came along. I was asked to imbue the admiral with the look of a "confident and brilliant military man. Striking features and red eyes. The pose and body language should reflect that he is emotionally controlled."

Illustrated for the Star Wars miniatures: Imperial Entanglements packaging art.

I used the same mixed media approach, washes of acrylic in the background and oil built up on top for detail and glazed in for color modulation.

This is the back image for a new promotional card I created, which I'll have available at Star Wars Celebration IV this May in Los Angeles. I drew the characters with pencil and ink, then scanned 'em into Photoshop and assembled/colored it there.

I'm selling the original drawings of Boba and Han over in my eBay store, if anyone's interested. :)

I'm one of the attending Star Wars artists at Celebration IV this year (takes place in Los Angeles - click here for more info). Each artist is creating an exclusive art print for the show, limited to 250 copies.

They posted a sneak peek at starwars.com but I figured I'd show it here too. I drew this with pencil and brush pen, and it was colored in Photoshop.

If you're going to Celebration IV, make sure to swing by the Artists Area and say hey! :)

This is a cover Lucas Arts commissioned to me for their Star Wars insider magazine. It was fun to paint the portraits of the Jedis on the wanted poster in the background. The real challenge though, was to get Obi Wan likeness exactly.. they are very picky about that

All photoshop.

Formerly obsessed with Star Wars Revenge of the Sith, I was inspired with the variations of Clonetroopers in the movie and decided to make some of my own. Basically, I applied the "G.I. Joe" formula and made multiple designs based on function. Most of these are my designs, with the exception of the Airborne, Halo, Elite, and Recon troopers.

Okay, the title sucks, shhh. xD

Anyway, did a Star Wars fanart for this Obiqui LJ community. The theme of the contest was Angst!Obi-Wan or Angst!Qui-Gon or Angst!BOTH. So this is my attempt at doing the two. I'm still amazed I even tried a background here. *cough*

The original is kind of big, so I've sized it down. Here's a detail shot:

Qui-Gon and Youngish!Obi-Wan again from the SW prequels. More practice with Painter, and liek omg, I actually drew (misproportioned) feet. SWEET. :D Sized down again. Basically I was approached for a commission and I decided to do two versions: Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon, and Qui-Gon/Commissioner's Original Character. This is the one I'll be posting around since I believe that the commission itself should be for the commisioner only. :3

I did this for my friends son, his 7th birthday is coming up and he's totally into Star wars. He's been asking his Dad if I could draw him something Star Warsy for a while now.
I wish I had more time to work on this thing, especially the colors. So it's a little rough but I don't mind how it turned out. I used HB pencil, Staedtler pens for ink, a prisma black marker to fill in the blacks. And Copic markers for color. And then a Sharpie White out pen for the finishing touches.
