Inspired (both concept and title) by the song 'My Imaginary Friend is Japanese' by Freshcut. If you enjoy a mix of melodic ambient and broken beats, check out his stuff, it can be found on both iTunes and CDBaby.com. Also, for a great mix of similar music, check out the Desktopography music collection here.
Technical: 30 second exposure featuring myself as the model. Put the timer on, sat for about 23 seconds, then hopped up and did the light painting in the last 5 seconds. (I really wish I had a remote release, it would make this stuff so much easier) Only post-work was a slight dodge to make myself look slightly less transparent around the midsection. Was hoping to get this on film and play with it in my darkroom, but my film body is out of batteries at the moment, so I tried to at least stick to the spirit of if. Another from my tests of my new GND filter. Rather like how this one turned out Taken in Constance Bay, Ontario. The ice just broke up there last week, and now the water level is way up, so there may be a few interesting flood shots coming up
Technical: Pentax *istDL2, Sigma 28-105. 2xGND, 12 stops total. Approx. f/11, 1/60s. No post-process besides minor contrast correction and desaturation.
