Forever refused to look at the New Migrator. He was still a angry at him and the Universal Migrator for twiddling their thumbs while the Earth was destroyed.
"I know it was hard for you..."
"You don't know anything."
"But look! Your race will survive. You will make it in the end. Earth, on the other hand, never stood a chance..."
"What do you care about Earth?"
The New Migrator sighed. "The Old Migrator didn't tell you, did he? I used to be human... I was the last human alive, living on Mars..."
"Oh... I didn't-" Forever started. He suddenly felt guilty for having that fight with the Migrators a while ago... he remembered he had actually made the New Migrator cry...
"But that doesn't matter anymore." the New Migrator interrupted. "I've been sent here to help."
"Yes. There are a lot of souls in need of rebirth, so I've come to help your planet's Migrator with the process."
"But we will be-"
"Mortal? Yes, your people will die. But death is part of th
Dawn of a Million SoulsThe colonist looked up at the Migrator. He was floating in midspace in a posture vaguely reminescent of a yoga pose. He was awe-inspiring and powerful-looking, yet appeared warm and gentle at the same time. His appearence was nonetheless very odd. He had four wings, a nude pastel rainbow body, long rainbow hair, long pointed ears, and three eyes. The colonist and Migrator both knew that the Migrator was about to divide himself.Dawn of a Million Souls in Science Fiction More Like This
"Ummm... hi." the Colonist said uncertainly.
"Greetings." the Migrator replied. "I admit I am surprised to see anyone else besides myself here."
"Well... it's a long story involving something called a Dream Sequencer..."
"Are you prepared to begin the journey with me?"
"Are you?" the colonist asked in return. "I mean, you're about to divide yourself! Aren't you afraid of ceasing to exist?"
The Migrator gave out a musical laugh. "Those are not Migrator feelings. I am not afraid. I am curious. You see, once I divide myself, I have no idea of what will happe

Yes. another one replied.
How should we tell them?
Her? Why Her?
She was the one we chose to deliver our first message to the humans... She saved our race from destruction... She is closer to us than any other bioprobe- nay, than any other human.
It has been a year since I saved the Aiadeus and helped Galatene get his act together. My hair is finally growing back; it's soft brown and reaches my chin. No one bothers me about being a bioprobe anymore, I guess they're used to it. Morgan and Ted are still my friends, and we occasionally go on outings with Galatene. Ted is still genial, Morgan is still quiet and a bit surly, and Galatene is kind of sarcastic and belligerant; though he's getting better at improving his attitude.
"What a great day for a picnic!" Ted exclaimed. He was right. It was actually sunny for a change, and a cool breeze kept the summer heat away.
Ted, Morgan, Galatene and I were havi
Hallelujah: FallenI am called Kaalin. The name literally means "evil urge." This is not my birth-name, I forgot that name long ago. Who am I, you ask? I am the embodiment of self-interest, revenge, hate, and evil. I am the little voice in the back of your head that tells you to punch the man who fronted you in line, to fear and hate anyone different from you; to kill your cheating spouse.Hallelujah: Fallen in Science Fiction More Like This
You can't escape me. Or at least, you can't escape what I stand for. It's everywhere. It is in every murder and evil thought.
And to think that I used to be part of the Aiadeus...
Normal morning, normal routine. Almost boring in fact, as no one had yet been admitted to the emergency room. I stopped in the hallway of the hospital and had a look around. There was Morgan, finishing up one of his murals; and Ted, mopping the floor. There were a couple of o

"I don't think we're supposed to be doing this..." Crystal replied uncertainly.
"Everyone does it. All the boys have (well, except for Frankie)."
"Yup. And besides. We're in the middle of nowhere, who's gonna find us?"
"No one, I guess..." Crystal said as Roger gently laid her across the seat. "But still... what if I don't like it? What if it hurts?"
Hovering above her, Roger laughed as he said "I think you'll really like it, actually. And if it does hurt, I swear to God I'll pull out."
"Well... I guess it's okay then... You have done it before, right?"
He laughed again. "Of course I have!" He suddenly stopped laughing. "You mean... you haven't? I'm your first?"

"But I'm not sleepy. And it HURTS too much to sleep."
"Then I'll give you something to help you sleep." Rigel said as he carried his little girl over to his lab. Setting her down, he pulled out a folded hospital bed from the closet and set it up in the corner of his lab. He carried Capella over to the bed and set her down on it. He reached over for a gas mask connected to a tank and placed it over Capella's mouth and nose as he turned a knob on the tank.
"What's this?" Capella asked drowsily.
"It's, uh, sleepy stuff. It'll help you sleep. And you'll feel better when you wake up."

Hallelujah: Holy DoveOkay, I admit it; I'm bald. I'm not going through chemotherapy or anything, it isn't that serious. But about half a year ago I felt a strange bump on the back of my head when I scratched my scalp after emerging from the shower. Being the curious person I am, I pulled my hair back and looked in the three-panel mirror in my bathroom. There was definitely something under my hair, and it didn't look like a mole. It looked like a symbol of some sort. Becoming more curious by the second, I took my razor and shaved my head. Looking back now, I probably shouldn't have done that, since I now have to wear a wig or a hoodie in public. But it did lead to an interesting discovery: There was an entire row of strange symbols on the back of my head. I wasn't sure what they were; I know I didn't have them when I was born...Hallelujah: Holy Dove in Science Fiction More Like This

Of people dying in the streets, buildings burning down, and smoke and flames roiling through the cities. But this vision was different... there was a woman. Not a human woman, though. "Your people evolved from our people. Did you really expect us to look so different?"
"You know why I am here..."
"Is it because of these hallucinations? Are you going to make them go away?"
She shook her head and sighed. "You, like so many others before you, refuse to heed the warning..."
"What's that supposed to mean?"

Seraphine- Part 3Youre only agreeing with Starseed because you like her, Electric Lucifer said.Seraphine- Part 3 in Science Fiction More Like This
Ned turned slightly pink. No, Im not.
The Seraphs were at a meeting to discuss what they had dubbed the Morgan problem. Starseed had suggested that they take Captain Entropy away from Earth, thus rendering Morgan powerless.
However, Electric Lucifer disagreed. I say we should kill her outright.
Nature spoke up. I dont think we have the right to kill anyone.
Time butted in. Besides, that would clearly be against Code 1853, Section 6. Contact with regular humans is to be minimal.
Thats what Ive been saying, Starseed replied in exasperation.
Lets take a vote, Electric Lucifer stated. This needs to be quick so I can get back to my electrical source. All in favor of removing Entropy? Most of the Seraphs raised their hands. All in favor of killing
Fixing a Broken Heart ch. 20 Zack lost it when Danny told him the truth. He wouldn't stop crying, and I couldn't blame him. Danny wrapped his arms around his brother and held him tightly. Zack clung onto Danny's jacket and cried into his shoulder. I saw Danny wasn't holding back tears either. I came over and held Zack. He turned around and hugged me tightly, resting his on my shoulder. I petted his head as Danny rubbed his back until he eventually stopped crying.Fixing a Broken Heart ch. 20 in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
After he calmed down, Zack fell back asleep. Carly and Michelle said their goodbyes and left. Danny was sitting at Zack's side rubbing his shoulder. My family left to get the car out of the parking garage.
"So, Zack's going to live with you?" I asked Danny.
"Yeah," Danny replied nodding his head, "I finished college a few months ago and I got a decent paying job and a nice apartment. He'll move in when he gets strong enough." I smiled. Zack was going to be in good hands. I knew it. "I
Fixing a Broken Heart ch. 17 I must have passed out because I remember a needle going in my arm and then I woke up in my mom's arms. She was softly raking her fingers through my knotted hair. Josh was asleep curled up next to my chest. I don't know how much blood they took, but it was enough to make me feel dizzy. "Zack is responding well to the transfusion," she began, "He's still unconscious and has a damaged shoulder. We'll be keeping him for about a week so he can recover. I can take you to his room if you wish to see him."
I got out of the bed staggering a bit until I got my balance. My dad scooped Josh in his arms. The nurse lead us to a room a few doors down where Zack was asleep. Wires from monitors were under his hospital pajamas and two IV lines- one with my blood- were taped to his hand.
I pulled a chair to his bedside and stared at his sleeping face. His chest slowly rose and fell and the he
Fixing a Broken Heart ch. 13 I knocked on the door until it opened on its own. I cautiously walked in without a second thought. The house looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. I found a hallway connected to the kitchen and opened a few doors until I came into a room best fit for a fourteen year old boy.
"Zack?" I called. No answer. "Zack?" A moan came from a half opened door by the bed. I opened the door all the way and found Zack's body sprawled on the ground.
"Zack! Wake up!" I got down to his level and positioned his body sitting up. He had new scratch marks on his cheeks and the sleeves of his shirt were torn. I tilted his chin up to look in his eyes. They fluttered open.
"Erica," he said softly. His eyes widened when he saw me. "No, don't. Get out before he se

"It's what friends do, right? We look out for each other." Zack smiled.
"Yeah. Thanks, Erica." He stood up and grabbed his shirt. I felt all of the blood in my body rush to my cheeks. He had such a nice, lean body.
"Something wrong Erica?" he asked making me jump.
"Huh? Oh, y-yeah I'm fine," I stammered. God, what the hell was I thinking? When Zack turned around and I saw his back, I noticed indigo bruises on his back that looked at least a week or two old.
"Zack," I said standing up, "How long has Austin and his gang been bullying you?"

"Well, I have him in a couple classes and I think he may have a crush on me. He blushes looking at me. Has he said anything about me?" Carly shook her head no. I sighed.
"Speaking of," Michelle said, "Here he comes on the opposite end of the table right now." I looked over and saw Zack sitting down with a paper bag. Carly elbowed me in the shoulder.
"Go on," Carly said, "It's a new school year and it's not like he's gonna bite." I giggled a little and found myself standing up and walking towards Zack. I sat in the empty seat across from him. He looked up at me with sad look
Fixing a Broken Heart ch. 3 Over the next three weeks, me and Zack became close friends. We talked a lot during our classes and lunch. Even sometimes before and after school. "You worry too much Erica," Carly said during Geometry, "It's high school. He probably caught a bug and got sick."
"Guess you're right," I replied.
"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you have a crush on Zack."
"N-No I don't. He and I are just really close friends who happen to be a boy and a girl." Carly giggled
Far from Home ch. 1It came from no where. It was just an earthquake. And then all this water came from no where. We were forced to evacuate. We weren't fast enough. More water flowed in through the streets and houses. Many people were caught in the flood waters. I could hear friends screaming out for help, and then they were silent. My little sister, Haru, tripped over her sneaker's laces. The water was soaking the bottom of our soles. There wasn't any time for all of us to make it. A few days after the tsunami, all our loved ones were buried. I can't believe I lost so many friends and teachers. People I looked up to. All gone. Me and Haru found out that our parents left a will. Cebolla McCrea had found himself talking to Fletcher for the first time that day, a conversation he would come to regret having. Up until this point, Cebolla had tried to avoid the company of the big red onion. Though both were practically in the same boat fortune wise, their histories were quite different. Both of them lived in the meaner side of Glutenton, and often broke laws to help their survival. However, when it came to the viciousness of said crime, Fletcher was known to be rather dangerous. He was almost mafia like, and would harm several people to get his way. Cebolla simply stole or whatever it was he needed to do to survive,

Unlocking the padlock and unwrapping the chain,
He took hold of the cart and pushed it down the lane.
He continued through town as he looked past the stares
Of the locals that he knew were secretly scared...
He knew that they feared him, but ignored them all,
And enjoyed the small breeze from the weather of fall.
He was making his way to where most folks would discard
Their broken unwanteds; the local junk yard.
It was here he collected an assortment of things
Like various parts of radios and machines
He would put these in his cart as he worked all alone
And when he had filled it, he would start his way home...

Before he totally went off air he added, his smooth radio personality voice raising to a screechy pitch as he did so, "And to that heretic who keeps playing obscene noises over my broadcasts, YOU'RE GOING TO HELL!"
He flipped the "off air" switch with a root-like, long, bony finger and gathered his wits. Pushing a long stock of green hair out of his pale, scarred face, he took a deep breath. He began to think aloud to himself, "Those fools don't know who they're messing with..."
With a final calm sigh, he began to look about his workspace. Amongst the piles of Pyramid pendants that he gave out to passerbys that he found of interest (whether that interest be negative or not) and several documents that were to his knowing only, there was a small pile of posters. Timothy, God and the DevilIt is that most irreconcilable fallacy of human existence, Timothy mused to himself from the disenchanted fringe of his philosophy course, that we as a species are forever torn between our desire for the freedom of opportunity, choice, and consequences ushered in by the chaos of id; and our necessity for the structure of predictability, security, and certainty heralded by the order of the superego. The crux of mankinds survival rest upon the discovery of common ground entrenched somewhere between these dissonant idioms, and as such we as a people are forever balanced ever so tenuously on the preservation of order that we might be permitted a handful of chaos, the sacrifice of the self for the other that the self might be preserved at all.Timothy, God and the Devil in Philosophical More Like This
