For ~foxikun's contest. [link]
This is Sheiara (Shi-Air-Uh) The juggling fox of an otherwordly circus of some such. She cannot fly but her back wings help her to float a bit and glide. Her main act is leaping from a bridge and gliding over the Off-World Ocean while juggling up to fifty clocks (although I have another character who could beat that with his dead toad juggling act but that is for another time...ehem)
Sorry...I do not know how to draw foxes apparently. The back is purposely long and sort of twisted like that though. Nothing special or overly unique, and I think it could have been better. The scan did horrors to it as always but oh well. And I hate how pink her markings look when they were supposed to be red. I hope you like it a little Foxikun.
Time: About seven hours maybe?
Tools: 0.5 mm mechanical pencil, watercolours and acrylics.
Reference: none, the horrible orange thing by the fox was supposed to be moth until it got partly painted over, the real moth was watching me (amongst hundreds of other buggers) draw.
Time stood still when I looked at her face,
and my clocks shattered and cried. For an instant I thought that two such lonely creatures might find a place to die in one another's hearts, but then...nothing passes well between a mistress of mists and a Baron of Time doomed forever to his clocks.
Entry for *Nyxen's contest.
The Baron of Time (whom by the way hardly looks like himself here +gag+) Has been drawn into Nyxen's world where time stands still. Drained of what power he had he is left defenseless staring into the dreamy mare's violet eyes while his shackles (the clocks) shatter, also powerless in a world without time.
Not happy with it at all. But, we all know how that goes. I wish I had not done it so last minute and especially at this time. But oh well. Anyways, sorry for making you wait Nyxen. This is probaly the...fifth try maybe? Not to count all the hundreds of actually good ideas that never happened, including the ones I started over the Summer.
Time: About eight or more hours maybe?
Tools: 0.5 Mech pencil, watercolours and acrylic.
Reference: Pictures of Nyx and photos of Feather.
....+tries not to complain+ This is mostly a sketch painting. Sorry for all the sketches and such I have been uploading. I am working on some more finished pieces. Anyways, in the end I started to try to make this touched up but I figured I should put the time into my prizes, trades, and such. The legs remind me too much of Dali though, haha but it was too late once I started painting. It is supposed to be that it is being pulled up from the ground, stretched out, thus the long legs.
Walk through life on a dream of sorts
even when your grave is below you
let your ears hear not the sorrows of life
but the music of your minds deepest wonders.
At least, I tell myself that, and for all my friends going through much harder times than my pathetic form has ever been through. I love you all, so be happy, and walk through life on a dream of sorts.
Time: About twenty minutes to the sketch, about two and a half hours or so for the paint.
Tools: 0.5 mech pencil, watercolour and acrylic.
A crease formed between Miss T.'s brows as she circled the colt again to be sure no spot of extra white had escaped her. Nope, he had a beautiful build and still had enough characteristics to squeak into the registry, but he was a far cry from loud.
"Dee," She turned to the mare and with a grave look said, "you've failed me."
Name: Tie Me To The Bedpost Barn Name: PJ Gender: Stud Colt Breed: Appaloosa Registration: AApA, APHC Age: newborn Height: unknown Color: Smokey Black Markings: Snip, blue eyes, mottled skin, check his genes *hint hint* Characteristics: PJ has unusually thin hair, so much so that you can see his mottled skin along his chest and neck despite his dark coloring. The 'Dude build' is starting to become markedly diluted in his first grand-foal, almost unnoticeable when the other stock foals aren't near by, he is by far the largest, slightly longer legged and rangier than the rest. He has a neck on him that could stop a loaded truck, just like his daddy. Future Discipline: racing, need you ask? Passible Traits: Ee/aa/nCr/lpLP Sire/Dam:Sex on the BeachRRR X She'll Do(by This Dudes A Wildcat) Bloodlines:One Balled Dictator (Grand-sire top side), Wapti, Go Man Go, Joker B Temperament: Lord is he an eager snuggle bug! There is always at least one itchy spot on his neck that he is willing to let you scratch, and scratch, and scratch. His first visit with the vet he put his head in the handler's arms and proceeded to use them as a pillow. Always the first to catch you in the field, PJ is just looking for anything to occupy his little body.
Dee is Daddy's little girl, no doubts here. Goose may have gotten the looks, but she managed to snatch up one of his more 'colorful' personality traits... sort of The picture has nothing to do with the story, it's meant to be of her race at Les Bois Park in Idaho.

For Dee her freshman year had started out on a high and continued to go up. While she wasn't as hardy as her brother and didn't snap back into race condition like a spring she was, so far, undefeated in two starts. Pretty good odds considering her tendency to be a timid racer. She never took the lead, not in practice and definitly not on the track. She passed the lead off to more gung ho horses and followed along in their wake right up until they closed in on the wire. Only then would she sneak out and around to pioneer the last stretch on her own. It had worked like a charm thus far and she had yet to truly be challenged.
The hope that moving her up to a longer graded race would offer that fight to the finish that she needed to wake her up was soundly dashed as the attempts to coerce her into the starting gate failed. It was almost as if she was channeling her sire and if they didn't know for a fact that he was smug as a bug back home in his turnout they would have called to make sure he was still alive and kicking. They had managed to load her halfway before she found something in the gate to give her a fright and came back out with only two legs on the ground. She soon ran out of chances as they tried pushing and pulling, even bringing a pony over to walk with her up to the yawning opening. In the end she had to be pulled from the race for refusal to load. Her season ended with that late scratch though she stayed on track for the next several weeks before being shipped home while her trainer went about convincing her that the Salem track's gate was no different than any other she had been through, a little stinky from a fresh coat of enamel, but not a filly eating death trap.
Name: Wahoo Shes Gone Barn Name: Whootie (Hoot-ee) Gender: Mare Breed: American Paint Horse Registration: APHA Age: 10 Height: 15.1 hh Color: Black Bay Tobiano Markings: see picture Discipline: Brood, Semi-retired pro heeling horse, used for light ranch work when an extra body is needed Passible Traits: EE/AtAa/TT will always throw a colored foal Sire/Dam: Blues Wahoo Revue X Two Eyed Black Rose Bloodlines: starter Temperament: Whootie is a very focused individual. Her entire attention is with you from the moment you step in the field with her to the moment you leave. There is a certain amount of push-button mentality to her, such as when you send her after a calf you had better be expecting her to hit the breaks shortly after you toss the rope, she knows her job so you don't have to do it for her. History: A fairly early retirement was in Whootie's stars. When the first signs of arthritis showed up in her hocks she was pulled from heavy competition for use in the ranch's brood band. Up until that point she had a lucrative career touring shows mainly in the corn belt, even earning the chance to enter the North American Championship Rodeo in team roping two nonconsecutive years. She has also earned her team roping ROM.
For stud/lease: Permanently closed. Horse is retired.

I started this the night I had come home from Chris's.. transferred and inked it a few days later, and this has takin me nearly a full -week- to color.. im extremely proud of this image.. because it is me to the fullest.. and I captured exactly what I wanted.. everything is.. as it should be.. Me.. the Draganine. Half Dragon, Half Wolf.
This image is larger than I normally draw, large enouph to where I couldnt get the full body on the paper. Im working on more sketches of full body.. do not worry..
This is my full, final form.. I am still wolf.. always will be.. but this is the truest of forms for me.. my heart and soul shown here.. respect it.. Im so much wiser after this occurence.. so.. much more aware of so many things.. Call me crazy if you will, but, these are my thoughts.. there were countless other things I wished to say but.. theyve escaped me.. I will add more later if I think of what they were..
Well, its the mirrored version of the inks posted before this. The first side, colored and finished, and will be the only image of the individual pieces to be posted seperately. Just because im oober like, ecstatic proud of this and the other pieces were rushed because I got tired of coloring myself. XD
Well, here I am, in all of my glory. You basicly know where her scars are, but everything else will come with the completed character sheet. My friend ~Cinth is helping me with the mirror of this, its already been colored, which I adore, she just has to tweek a few things for it to be 100% correct. Go check out her art, shes a dear friend and wonderful artist!
Enjoy friends, now im heading back to lay down again, ive been sick with this evil flu for 4 days now. >.<
