Misa's Valentine "Ryuzaki!" Misa sings, bouncing into the Kira Investigation Center. "I have something for you!" L turns around, his large brown eyes peering out from beneath his long, black hair. He looks up at Misa, his expression vacant. She pulls out a large, red box with hearts along the side. He reaches out to take it, holding it carefully in between two fingers, not daring to drop the fragile, velvet container. "Thank you, Misa," he says, pulling something small from his pocket. "I have something for you as well." Misa squeals in delight, her mind racing as she wonders what her gift could be. But her smile soon fades and a look of horror appears on her face as he opens his palm and reveals the microscopic gray chip.
"What IS that?" she cries in disgust.

Beyond cackles, his expression bitter with overwhelming hatred. "All my life I have wanted to meet you, to be you." he hisses. "But not anymore. For now, you will be my next victim." He smiles sickly as he pulls something from his pocket. A dagger. "You die tonight." He lunges at him, laughing evilly as he presses the tip of the blade to L's chest.
But the Detective does not scream. He does not run. He does not move at all. He only smiles as he gazes down at the knife about to pierce his flesh. "Kill me, if you must." he whispers
