Wack'em Sinteeeeek 13HD ReviewHiya Ryceballs. As some of you know, I was askin for opinions a few journals back about the Wacom Cintiq, you lovely people gave me some great advice and tips and one even went as far as to find me an Australian website with a cheaper price. And she saved me $200, so special thanks to KokoroKanon for doing that. So yes I have been using the Wacom for more than a week now, I didn't wanna write a review until I get the SmudgeGuard, a SmudgeGuard is pretty much looks like a glove cut in half, it looks like a futuristic glove in Minority Report, the reason I wanted a SmudgeGuard is because I tend to get sweaty hands so I did not wanna dirty the Cintiq screen at all, it costed me around $20 to get that. An alternative is just buy a cheap glove and cut off the top three fingers.... you can then use the cut off three fingers glove and put it on your head so you can pretend to be chicken.Wack'em Sinteeeeek 13HD Review in Personal More Like This

Back from RysolationDear Ryceballs. I have returned. It was a short hiatus, but it was a necessary one. I traveled miles and miles on foot into the Indian Desert by myself, in hope that I would be able to find my missing soul, cos thats what people do when they wanna find their soul right? They always go to India. I called it my 'rysolation period'. So I was out soul searching. On my journey, people has been encouraging to me, giving me kind words and needed motivational speeches, I thank you, you know who you are. I think I am more collected and positive now. Yeah I think I am back. Oh also on my soul search I have had time to work out some 'things'. So yeah look forward to more 'things' from me in the future. The desert was hot as hell by the way, don't really recommend it, what my soul was doing there is beyond me.Back from Rysolation in Personal More Like This

This is a picture of me playing the Nintendo Wii, I love my Wii. Had lots of great times on it playing games like Smash Brothers and Mario Kart and Twilight Princess, and a game I really loved called Super Mario Galaxy. The story takes place around 2009? A couple of years after the Wii came out. So one day a friend of mine Matt messaged me telling me he got a Wii, I thought great, about time he got a Wii. So I congratulated him, then he asked the question. :I He asked whether he can borrow some games and I was like 'HMMMMMMMM SHIT'. Well Matt is a nice guy, pretty honest and pretty generous. I usually am pretty generous too but when it comes to games, I hate lending it out

^Thats me before I head out. I really do like the smell of female deodorant, it smells soooo good, like a harem. The only problem is that when I buy them in shops I get all tomato faced embarrassed... especially when I am testing the smell to see which one is to my liking... I somtimes deliberately not pick the pink colored deodorant just so its not as obvious :I
But how did this start? Why the hatred for male deodorant? Well I think it goes back to school days... especially in camps.. when the boys would play basketball and get all sweaty pamyu pamyu after the game... I am not a fan of playing basketball so usually I would just be in the camp room playing videogames, then they would go back to the room and spray ALOT (Like s
Questioned by the Hong Kong PoliceSo where was I? Oh yes I was gonna talk about my experiences with the Hong Kong police, so here goes. OK this is the problem, whenever I visit Hong Kong I always have the fear of being questioned by the police, well not exactly fear because I've got nothing to hide, but whenever I am alone walking on the street and a policeman on patrol sees me, they would ALWAYS 100% stop and ask for my ID. For those ain't familiar with how things work in Hong Kong is that if they see a teenager (Especially male) on the street not in their school uniform during school time or with dyed hair or pretty much just 'gangster' or suspicious looking, they have the right to stop you in the middle of nowhere and question you. Now I match every bit of suspicion possible, what they are trying to check is if there's any sort of crime around the area so they can narrow down the suspects, or to check whether you are legal to be in Hong Kong, or whether you've got drugs on you. Anyway when I was in Hong Kong a monthQuestioned by the Hong Kong Police in Personal More Like This
A day of doing nothingHey Ryceballs. yesterday marked the day that I did absolutely nothing. I gota admit, the last 2 weeks has been one of my most crazy weeks of the year, there were just tooooo many things going on at the same time that has affected my emotional state. It was like an emotional roller coaster that just didn't end. Not just bad things don't get me wrong, but good things too. And being a guy who try to take as little rest as possible, I came to a point where I just got totally burnt out. I was just exhausted and tired and just felt extremely depressed. It has affected my judgement and logical thinking and it even shows in my polls to be honest, I don't know if people realise but sometimes the topic of the polls and quality of my artworks are affected by what's going on in my life.. but sometimes I throw in a few odd ball polls in there to mix it up so you guys don't think I am personally going through stress, so yeah 'poo flavoured icecream' isnt a thing from experience don't worry! Alleyway IncidentHiya Ryceballs. I left out something on my previous journal, something I kinda wanted to talk about but was a bit scared to... But I have decided that maybe its better to get it off my chest. This is a true story and it happened two weeks ago while I was in Melbourne for Armageddon Expo, it was a sunday night, I had a long day selling artworks and I was back in the hotel room chilling, at around 10pm I got hungry and realised I don't have much to eat, I didn't wanna call room service because I wasn't sure if food is still available that late. So knowing the 24/7 grocery store is just a block away, I decided to head out to buy a cup noodle or something. It was pretty dark outside with a bit of rain as well, much to my annoyance, but I was really really hungry. Now the proper way to get to the grocery store is to walk around the block, OR I can take a shortcut and go through the alleyway.... I tend to always walk around the block as I didn't wanna get mugged, if Batman has taught me anytAlleyway Incident in Personal More Like This

For some magical or medical reason Dracula so stimulates and fascinates our psyches that it has survived and thrived since publication in 1897. I can honestly say that I grew up with this community and everyone here has taught me so much, and not just about art, but also on how to be a person. When I first got this account at the age of 12, I could have never imagined how much it has shaped my life and career. It sounds cliche but I probably wouldn't have became an artist if it hadn't been for everyone here on deviantART. Through all of the ups and downs in life, the community has always been the support and inspiration that kept me going.
I hope to give back as much as everyone has given me. I will continue to create more comics, tutorials and art in the future. I will never stop, and I have you all to thank for that.
So truly, thank you!

On to the questions~~~
What's the art department like at UCB?
Since UCB is most famous for its science programs (where all the budget goes), the art programs are not the most amazing, but they are pretty good depending on what kind of art you're into. Berkeley has an intellectual yet liberal atmosphere so we try to look at all forms of art from various perspectives.

OBJECTIVE: SELL THIS DAMN BOOK, DANNY.
At first, Gabriel was nothing more than a character named ONE. He had no backstory, no face, nothing. I just wanted to create a character that was a badass, yet with a sense of humor.
I was inspired by such characters as Boba Fett, Wolverine, Deadpool and Clint Eastwood from The Man With No Name trilogy. I needed to create something that fit that build, however, I'll admit, it wasn't intended at first.
I uploaded him on December 8th, 2008, (which, you can find here: http://danluvisiart.deviantart.com/art/GABRIEL-107612010?q=gallery%3Adanluvisiart%2F7848546&qo=50) and he became one of the most popular characters of the series, if not, the most. Soon I started finding him on forums, websites, fashion blogs (what?), and more.
But what hit me so hard was that the majority of the comments rela

Ever since I was little, I've known I wanted to draw. From the day my parents put a pencil in my hand, this was my future. I just knew it, I had that gut feeling. Now with my new book Redemption heading off to studios soon for a hopeful movie package, I can't wait to see where this new road takes me.
That said, there's something else that tops all of this.
The other night I went out to visit my girlfriend's cousin and her family. Incredibly kind people with very sweet kids. Other than the two parents, there were 3 kids, but the one who caught my interest was the eight-year old boy, Diego.

I stated that "I'm not sure if a human can become a slender; as I'm pretty sure slenders are born, not made from a transition. So it seems that the ways that slenders reproduce is either from breeding or slenders turning humans into slenders. However it seems that there are less female slenders than male slenders, which would reduce the likelihood of reproducing that way, and not all of them want to have kids. And there are probably only a few slenders who know the secret to making a human a slender, because if they al

Now, they’ve been hiding unwanted stuff out in the deserts of America as far back as 1923. When filming finished on Cecil B. If so, I really hope they go the whole hog and make Batman old.
If it were my project, I'd write it so Batman had been at the crime fighting game for decades prior to the alien-in-tights showing up. With Superman around, what use is there for The Batman? The authorities have always been gunning for him, but the public had an uneasy tolerance. Now everyone see him as a dangerous liability.
Of course, Batman is the toughest, most cunning man on the planet. If you could just take him out, it would have been done by now. So Superman is asked to deal with him.
The whole story would be based around the conflict of ideals: both support the concept of justice, but while Superman has faith in the system, Batman sees it as totally impotent and has taken on the responsibility of supporting it on his own shoulders.
And Batman would win.
Batman ALWAYS wins.

The entertainment industries, from the big movie makers to the lowly art whores (like me) know this, and have played upon it for years in order to separate males from their money. As a result, mass media is awash with the female form in all manner of provocative poses and dress.
Many women are fed up with this, but is the whole thing “sexist”?
Well, it’s impossible and indeed wrong to say a whole industry is one thing or another. Ultimately it’s all one, big, dumb organism that simply moves with the cultural winds. It perpetuates what sustains it. It’s only when you break it

Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein and The Last Man all the way back in the 1800's, effectively inventing our modern concept of "mad science" and the "post apocalypse" subgenre, respectively. It was her success that sparked an explosion of fantastical literature with scientific and technological themes, later dubbed "science fiction."
Later, Charlotte Perkins Gilman's wildly successful "The Yellow Wallpaper," hailed as a groundbreaking work of feminism, sparked its own wave of "weird horror" and is cited by H.P. Lovecraft as one of his biggest inspirations, his very writing style practically lifted from Gilman's.
The trends kicked off by Mary Shelley and her imitators eventually grew directly into the pulp science fiction boom of the 1930's, and a great deal of those authors were also women. Nobody kn
Why 'reality is liberal'A lot of crazier people in America are thoroughly convinced that there's a "liberal bias" in the media. Because our news and entertainment is filled with cultural diversity, secularism, environmentalism, a growing acceptance of diverse sexual orientations and other things certain people just don't like, the only conclusion that makes sense in their mind is that there's a "bias" going on. That a small number of "liberals" happen to control the media industry and deliberately insert these attitudes to brainwash the public towards their agenda. Why 'reality is liberal' in Personal More Like This
If anything, however, the media falls quite a bit behind the progress of the American public as a whole. Sexism, homophobia, racism and xenophobia are less evident now in our media than they were decades ago, but still a constant underlying presence, especially the way corporate sponsors still control a great deal of content and choose to appeal to the lowest, safest common denominator.

You make a point of using "climate change" to refer to the same mundane, common atmospheric behavior the planet routinely endures, which may be technically, linguistically correct, but when we're talking about modern environmental issues, global warming and anthropogenic influence, people take the phrase "climate change" to be short hand for the issue of a rapid, unusual modern trend. The problem with America is under-regulation.I cannot believe conservatives seriously think "big government" and government "overreach" is the worst problem in this country when it's so blatantly the opposite. The problem with America is under-regulation. in Personal More Like This
Businesses and corporations have obscene amounts of power. They control everything, they have more political sway than the rest of the nation combined, they take advantage of people and the environment as they see fit and they severely under-pay the employees who truly create and sustain them.
They are UNDER regulated. There should be forty times as much legislation. Businesses should be on the tightest, shortest leash possible and forced to serve people and the ecosystem before their own selfish needs. Nobody should be able to just sit back and hoard billions of dollars off of other people's hard work while contributing nothing to society, which is the case for almost everyone at the top of any large company. They're parasites with too much freedom.
KAJM part IIHilariously, http://comments.deviantart.com/4/593651/2983744597 Kajm became extremely disgusted that someone blocked him, even calling it "cowardly." So much so, he responded with his wife's account.KAJM part II in Personal More Like This
This is fascinating because he immediately blocked me the first time I ever attempted to correct him on his black and white denial of any and all human influence on climate change. It's as though his singular goal is getting the last word, as though all that matters is that he block his "opponent" before the reverse happens. It's a behavior that only reduces me to responding to his arrogant assertions by a method so cheap as a public journal. I don't know what he's afraid of that he feels he has to block people from even polite debate.
This is a person who claims (key word: claims) to have a scientific background in geology, yet sincerely believes that no amount of human activity is having any kind of impact on climatic conditions, anywhere on Earth, which is exactly the opposite of what a
RE KajmEdit: Spazkid apologized, and I really didn't mean to make a big deal of his post. I was just caught off guard that someone was really, really upset with me over a pretty old disagreement that I didn't realize anyone had taken so personality. No matter how fiercely I disagree with someone, I never really want their feelings to be hurt, and I don't take internet fights near as serious as I might appear to.RE Kajm in Personal More Like This
I'm still a little confused by that comment Kajm left though, so I'll at least leave that up.
KAJM: Note to sicklebug!
A fellow AGW True Believer on DA, believes he has the right to hide comments and block commenters who say anything to goes against your religion.
So far as I can see, that means you haven't got the SLIGHTEST right to Bitch that I cut you off. Ta!
What exactly is this talking about, exactly?
Are you implying that I hide comment and block commenters? I've never done any such thing.
Are you talking about some other person who blocks people for disagr

"Easily-verifiable data and peer-reviewed research do Not qualify as 'fairy tales,' Scythemantis."
Exactly why easily verifiable data and peer reviewed research is what I stick with, unlike your grossly out of date papers and wild misrepresentations by an inept minority who prey wantonly on the ignorance of laypeople.
"Oh hey, scythe? Every single astronaut who walked on the moon, IS. A. SKEPTIC. of the Unproven theory of 'man-made' global warming. Therefore, according to your fevered conspiracy theory, NONE of them believes they walked on the moon."
Astronauts aren't climate scientists.
In fact, many astronauts aren't scientists at all.
Many are military personnel selected for physical attributes, psychological discipline and an ability to follow detailed orders. The opinions of certain astronauts on climate are not only uninformed, but CAN'T be informed, because they have spent literally zero t
