Kirk spun around on his heel, leaping quickly over some rubble to grab your hand. He held it firmly, yanking you towards him. The alien being hissed and pulled harder, almost yanking your arm out of your socket. Their skeletal and muscle structure made them strong enough to do that even in their humanoid form. Deep blue, rough skin made scratch marks against your skin and you tried to fight them.
Your feet dug into the crevice-filled ground, patches of rock the only thing to stand in the dark and ever so present pools of water. The humanoids aliens were trying to drag you into the water. To eat you, as they had done with the science team previously here. Deceitful bastards.
You felt a cold and wet hand go around your neck, trying to choke you.
"Sulu, shoot it!"
Kirk stood precariously on a higher ledge, trying to pull you up. His shout didn't go unheard, as his own phaser had been tossed into the murky waters from a previous fight. A blast went off my Sulu and Chekov, and K

You two were pressed tightly, mixing breath until your arched slightly to place your head on his shoulder. The space was confined and a shift made McCoy lightly press into you. He tried to lock his elbows in place but that wouldn't work, he'd be more liable to break his arms then stop himself.
"If I was you, darlin', I'd be less concerned with the speed and more concerned about when it'll stop. I'm gettin' dizzy."
You rolled your eyes briefly, secretly revelling in the way McCoy's gruff voice began to sway in his southern accent. He couldn't see your blatant show of exasperation and he locked a leg with yours. You were about to question it when you felt the small tremor. It had become a sign of a bigger one.
You subconsciously held McCoy flushed against you, making the doctor do the same back.

McCoy was the first to come into the kitchen, plopping down on a seat and rubbing his sleepy eyes.

"Did you use the replicator?"
"No... You actually tasted the difference?"
"Hmm, you always give me a shot of brandy."
McCoy gave a lazy smile before yawning. He did so cutely, and you brushed your lips against his temple.
"What was that for?"
"A good morning kiss. Hmm, is Jim still sleeping?"
"If he is do I get another kiss?"
You lightly kissed McCoy's cheekbone this time then messily ran a hand through his messy hair.

But physical contact did spark something primal in him since he was half human. And he had long learnt from you doing such things were important. You were fully human, after all.
Spock was one to study and learn, so he wasn't that bad. He knew what to do, but still remained too tense for your tastes. You pulled away from his mostly unmoving lips and licked yours clean.

He didn't care that his students would see it destroyed, or the fact his pure black robes had these white streaks which would make someone raise their eyebrows.
All he cared about was you, pinned between him and the chalk-ridden board. Because whatever that potion was for, it certainly would never taste as good as your lips.
"Why do we- hmm- always- Sevvy~!"
You mewled the potion master's nickname, or the closest you managed to create for him. He didn't seem to care in that moment, lips hungrily travelling down your neck, mentally wondering if the potions which hit the ground broke open and mixed. I made him on crumpled sheets, with broken pieces of crayon, on a playground that was too busy wondering whether growing up entailed stealing their mother's cigarettes and their father's dirty magazines (I suppose I was already wise enough to know that growing up meant choosing one of the many ways of breaking yourself in two.)
I hope you remember him, stars...he was important to me (My best friend threw that drawing away on my seventh birthday and told me that someone like me was not supposed to have such dreams.).
He had hair as ebony as deep onyx and a smile that never grew up (Peter Pan would have been proud). He was magic in soul form, and smelled like cinnamon and the earth after it has rained. His eyes rivaled a lions on the best of his youth, his words were story shaped. His skin was an ink coloured canvas of wonder and even in crayon

Yet I had seen it all the same, and clung to that fleeting image like a life preserver of old, the only physical hope I had of now, my only tangible plan of escape.
At the end of the impossibly long hangar, there had been a doorless room, a tiny communication base of sorts, and I had felt a rush of overwhelming joy when I caught a glimpse of what was in there. It was just a glimpse, impossibly fast, but I had

Her eyes were wide and shining, just as a summer sun.
Her laugh wasn't wooden and fake, but true and full of fun.
Her irises reflected happiness, not a trace of pain.
She was under perfect skies; not a drop of rain.
Angels swam around her, keeping the devil at bay.
Her life was precious and she wasn't throwing it away.
Her lips were red and shinging with a pure smile.
It was a sight her mirror hadn't seen in a very long while.
She wasn't at all pretty but a care she did not give.
Because today she woke up and said, "Today I am going to live."

I am quiet, I am nothing.
I am a book that nobody has read.
I am an eclipsed sun and a cloaked moon.
I am irrelevant and unwanted, a broken toy in an attic.
I am the dust in your rear-view mirror that you leave behind.
I am the air that you breathe in and spit out as something different.
I am the palest white. I am the darkest black. I am the dullest, emptiest grey.
I am the old man with forgotten memories and the baby who has yet to make them.
I am a forgotten word, dangling on the tip of your tongue, hanging on the noose of your lips.
I am a dried up stream. I am a felled forest. I am an abandoned cornucopia of resolute nothingness.
And there is Hell burning in my eyes.

What am I to you?
Would you care
If I lived out my dark little fantasies?
Got swallowed by the dark seas,
Of my soul?
Would you care
If I went back to the blade
That you forbade
Me to seek solace in?
If you knew what went on in my head,
A million different ways
To make me dead,
Would you tell me to just
‘Not feel down’ anymore?
If I could stop feeling this way,
Stop thinking like this?

Permanent Slumber - Khan x Reader - Prologue"Let me see her." Khan demanded from behind his glass prison for the third time.Permanent Slumber - Khan x Reader - Prologue in Romance More Like This
Kirk shared a glance of approval with Spock, sending a few lieutenants to retrieve her. He kept a close eye on Khan like he was scared in case he would find a way to escape his confinement.
"Khan!" The gasp from the girl who was surrounded by four men in red shirts.
"(Y/N)!" She pushed her way past the guards effortlessly.
She jogged up to the glass cage, placing her small delicate hands against it. Khan placed his hands against it near hers, gazing down at her small physique.
She still looked the same as he remembered her. He hated himself for getting her dragged into this mess. He couldn't bare to see her get hurt in this war.
He started it and he was determined to finish it and he wasn't allowing her to be one of the casualties.
"Let me in Captain." She tilted her head to Kirk with pleading eyes.
"I don't think I can-"
"Please Captain Kirk let me in or I sure as hell will find a way to get him out here.

He didn't reply and your breathing became uneven as scenarios of what was happening to him began to flash in your mind.

"(Y/N)!" He turned around, not at all confused or surprised that you had found a way out of the prison.
You wrapped your arms around him into a short embrace before letting go of him.

He looked sad, and almost lonely even though you were standing in front of him.
"You thought what?" He asked in his low hush tone, taking hold of your arms.
"I thought," You sucked in a nervous breath. "I thought you didn't love me anymore."

The missiles. They had done something to the missiles. And they have all detonated.
And your family were trapped inside every single one of them.
The tears irritated your eyes as you watched Khan finally break like fragile porcelain. He was a broken man and his life was falling to pieces.
And you felt so useless.
The whole ship shook again and you couldn't stay on your feet for long as you knocked into the control panel with your side. You weren't going to be surprised if a bruise ended up there.
You sunk to your knees clinging onto the panel, looking up at Khan.

It will go unnoticed, often because of its length.
It is a rather sad fact, but a truth nonetheless.
For the simple emotions conveyed in just a few words,
Often hold more sway with those who are emotionally swayed.
There is no depth of the heart, nor a single thought spared.
For the effort placed into a piece that forgoes the winning edge,
For a hint of true meaning.
You will not read this piece and I will not expect you to.
It will not be popular or famous, nor will it see the light of day.
For length is the bane of true poetry,
And that is why so many of my kin have already left.
Thank you however, for reading this;
For you at least took the time to see what I would consider 'truth'.
It is bitter indeed and intensely sad,
But for the you that respects this, I am eternally glad.
