This is insane. I don't even know why I'm agreeing to do this.
"You're the one who insisted that my brother travel with at least the minimal garments," Emil reminded you. That was something you couldn't ignore: no matter what you were thinking, the dragon's soul could hear your thoughts, too; it was also how he communicated with you.
Nevertheless, you couldn't travel with someone—regardless of how handsome he was—knowing he was going to be walking around buck naked in the cursed snowstorm. Since you needed all of the clothes you had on your body, you had refused to lend Lukas any of yours. As a result, Lukas had told you that if you really wanted him to wear human clothing, you would have to find it yourself, and that meant going all the way back to the castle town to find some. Unfortunately, since your escape had gone so abruptly, you didn't have any money on you. Those without money either had to resort to begging or stealing, and you didn't hav

Hot air hissed through your teeth as you clenched your jaw together hoping to cope with the pain searing through your flesh and bone. The sensation shifted from both ends of extreme temperatures: freezing hot to scorching cold, a painful mixture of fire and ice.
And then…! In a spark of manifested energy, something shot from your fingertips and tickled your skin with a frosty breath. You had created ice. You. Not the Eye of the Topaz Blizzard. ________________. You.
“I did it…” you breathed.
A long-lost feeling began to stir in your heart. This was just like the time you had first beaten your master in a swordfight, when you had seen the first sprouts spring from the soil since Dragonfall had ended, and now, this.
“I…I did it…”
You were smiling. Through Mathias’ eyes, it looked like one of the stupidest things you had ever seen: a practically blind human girl trying to use magic, and the most she can muster is a lit

Everyone, from the Red Caravan’s crew to the dragons, had already begun their day their eyes clear of the fogged blurs of sleep and their lungs full of the chilled winter air. When you stumbled outside, Mathias gave you a welcoming smile as you joined him around a gathering circle, a pot in the middle and a savory smell rising into the atmosphere.
“Morning, ______________,” he grinned as he handed you what appeared to be a bowl, but unlike the rough clay bowls you were familiar with, this bowl was as smooth as the blunt end of your sword with a dainty coat of white glaze fired over its surface. Such things were out of your comprehension as you could only stare, baffled at how one could obtain such a smooth finish to a simple piece of dishware.
“It’s so smooth,” you breathed.
“Yeah,” Leon smirked as seen through Mathias’ eyes. “It’s porcelain meaning the clay and glaze used is different from the kingdoms. Com

You had been walking for a short time after you had begun to feel negative emotions heading downstream of the river. That was a good sign since that meant you wouldn’t have to worry about running into Yao or his family members any time soon.
“You really want to know something like that?” he unenthusiastically asked.
Being used to his normally cold demeanor, you timidly fumbled your hands around in a nervous tangle and looked down at the ground.

In response, the Dragonheart remained still and silent, appearing to be in deep concentration. Amidst the deep blue light, you were able to catch a quick expression here and there: confusion, frustration, and finally, defeat.

When you woke up that morning, you noticed the castle noises below you were significantly livelier. Maids were scampering to keep the roof clean of as much snow as possible, and the numbers of soldiers increased for the case of an emergency. As you remembered from the night before, a handful of nobles from the neighboring castles had taken a quick voyage to witness the magnificent sight: a dragon being sacrificed.
The three days was up, and in that time, the winter only grew worse. A blizzard was now considered part of a normal day. Only the hardiest of animals could survive in such a brittle environment.
What disturbed you most of all wasn't knowing whether or not the sacrifice would actually work or not; it was whether or not you would have a job after all of this. Surely with there being only one dragon left in the world, it would have died of loneliness, and if there were no dragons, there wouldn't be a need for a dragonkeeper. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” a calm voice said from behind. Suddenly, your arms couldn’t move anymore, and your wrists were held fast by a pair of hands.
“Let go!” you growled and brought your foot back to kick the person restraining you, but your clumsy footing only made you slip and nearly fall onto the snow if it wasn’t for the person holding you back.

Lukas was still at the spot where you had left him. There was no turning back after everything he had done for you even if you hadn't realized it until it was too late.
Now that you were able to see, you were able to get a grasp of what exactly this place was. In short, it was both a garbage heap and a graveyard for whatever the people above didn’t want to deal with. The clacking sounds you had heard earlier had been the bones of small animals, unfortunate humans, and even a few strange skeletal structures you did not fully recognize.
Thanks to the Sapphire Flames, as you so called them in tribute to Lukas’ formal title, the nightcrawlers and bloodsnares had steered clear of your path. You could occasionally hear them chattering in the darkness, but for the most part, they remained unseen.

Donatello always felt like his family’s happiness had more or less been contingent upon the things he was able to provide them with. That sense of duty had expanded to cover April O’Neil and to some extent, her father as well.
So much responsibility had left him feeling inadequate at times, but usually his father would come along and help Donnie make peace with himself. Don could use some of his sensei’s wisdom right now, because the situation he found himself in was confusing at best.
There was an overwhelming sense of guilt at having been the reason for April and Casey to come out on a rescue mission. As a highly trained ninja, Don should have been able to handle the Kraang attack without assistance. Maybe if he’d had his head screwed on straight and wasn’t fighting with Raph they wouldn’t have encountered the Kraang at all.
Coupled with that was the feeling of foreboding that permeated his outlook. There wa

Casey was still blanketing Don with his body, so the turtle pushed against him in order to straighten up. The smoke was clearing quickly; drifting out through the opening in the wall.
“It worked!” Don exclaimed, seeing the fan blades lying on the ground.
As soon as Casey turned around to look, Don spotted the smoke coming from the back of his hoodie. Reaching out quickly, Don patted at the glowing embers that were threatening to ignite Casey’s clothes.
It was then Don noticed with horror the smoke curling out of one of Casey’s spray paint cans. Yanking it off the boy’s belt, Don tossed

Growing up there had always been something to do. Survival dictated constant movement, perpetual planning, and continual vigilance. Between the times spent hunting for items they might be able to use and for food that was edible, the turtle brothers had trained, both physically and mentally.
Those few precious periods of downtime when they weren’t actually sleeping had been devoted to play or in Donatello’s case, study. He had always been inquisitive and his agile mind relished every source of information he could get his hands on. Be it books, magazines, newspapers, or even brochures and flyers, Don would read every line of text avidly.
There had been no boredom for the purple banded turtle and no tedium. It was only since the Kraang invasion that Don had been required to learn to deal with the one thing he found distasteful – waiting.

Don knocked politely and Mr. O’Neil closed his book when he saw the turtle. Sitting up, the man swung his feet onto the floor and said, “Come in, Donatello.”
Stepping into the room, Don said, “I didn’t mean to interrupt you, sir.”

The area around Casey’s leg wound had gotten swollen and turned an ugly reddish color; thin streaks of red radiating out in all directions. His fever had gotten fairly high a couple of times and Don had resorted to sponging cool water onto Casey’s body.

It hadn’t taken long into his sparring match with Raph for Don to realize he was in for it. Raph was apparently still mad about Casey fighting with April over who was going to put Don to bed. He stood in the stuffy kitchen, making yet another pizza. This place... it wasn't anything special; it was just a small restaurant on the high street which attracted tourists rather than locals. Coming from New York and moving to a small coastal town had been a huge change for him but when the two met a cafe during Alfred's first couple of days (Arthur had already been there a year), the Brit was more than willing to show him around.
And now, the two of them lived and shared a happy life together.
It was a Saturday morning an

The bright sunlight streamed through the small gap in the curtains. Lovino groaned and pulled the duvet over his head to block out the bright light. Staying up late was not a good idea now that it actually came to waking up...
Unable to continue sleeping, the Italian grudgingly removed the duvet from his head and sat up with a sigh. Running a hand through his hair, Lovino sighed and moved to the window to routinely close the curtains properly. Antonio needed to invest in some block-out blinds or something.
The Italian shuffled out of the room lethargically into the large living space to find his vampire tomato bastard strumming absently on his guitar. Antonio looked up when Lovino sat beside him and he smiled a bright smile, "Buenos días, Lovi!" he received a mumbled reply in response and the vampire chuckled, "Did you sleep well?"
"Meh... I guess," Lovino replied and

Lovino watched the window with a nervous expression. Any moment now he should be here. Any moment now. He held on to Alfred's baseball bat with a tight grip and he narrowed his eyes slightly. He wouldn't let this continue. What the hell had he been thinking? He shouldn't have allowed it to happen in the first place.
He started pacing back and forth, his mind racing. His heart pounded in his chest and his breathing started to get faster. He was scared; yes he wouldn't admit it out-loud but he might admit it in his mind. He took a deep breath and tried to work out what he was going to say. He was going to tell Antonio exactly how he felt and he was going to tell him to get the hell out of his life and never come back.
The Italian jumped and let out a small squeak of surprise, which he promptly turned into a low cough as his cheeks turned a light shade of pink. He tur

Lovino hadn't slept well for a few days now. He was worried for that bastard sneaking into his room and attacking him when he leased expected it. Some might say that he was being paranoid but he knew that he was just trying to stay safe. Then again... the more he thought about it, the more worried he became. He couldn't help it; how would you feel if a creepy bloodsucker was after you? He sighed and finally decided to get out of bed and get changed, deciding to enjoy his day off without the worry of his blood being sucked. He left the room and scowled at Feliciano talking to Ludwig in the kitchen.
"When did he get here?"
"Ve, Lovi! You're up!" Feliciano greeted happily and smiled over at his brother. Ludwig gave the older Italian a brief nod in acknowledgement then turned away from him. Feliciano had already continued their conversation and he either didn't notice or he di

He's alive, he thought to himself as he scrambled around for his car keys and jacket, he's alive... that's what counts.
After a few moments of searching, he realised that the car actually belonged to Alfred and he'd taken it when Arthur kicked him out. And he'd now crashed the car so the Brit had no other choice than to call a taxi.
When the taxi finally arrived, Arthur told him where to go and he told him to go as fast as he could. He sat in the back of the car, drumming his fingers on his leg nervously as he glanced out the window. So many questions were running through his head, and none of which could be answered until he reached the hospital.
Finally, after what felt like hours, they reached the hospital. Arthur paid the driver (actually, he more or less threw the paper notes at him

Antonio had stuck to Lovino like glue over the next few days. The Italian was rarely allowed to go anywhere on his own, mainly for the reason that the vampire was terrified that something bad would happen to him. When Lovino had to work, Antonio would hang around the restaurant for how many hours Lovino's shift was and then walk him back to his apartment where he would stay with him all night. He rejected Gilbert and Francis' offers of nights out because he was so convinced that Lovino's safety was at stake which it was, actually. Antonio staying with Lovino 24/7 meant that he couldn't really help Gilbert and Francis in searching for wherever Natalia may be keeping Feliciano. Of course, he could contribute ideas, but apart from that, he refused to leave the Italian's side.
Lovino however, wasn't too pleased with Antonio's paranoia. It wasn't as though he didn't appre

He lived in a remote area in the country side, which meant that the night sky was always clear and bright. He could see everything. The sky was like a blanket encrusted with tiny diamonds and the American often found himself staring at it for hours.
Alfred loved space; he loved everything to do with it. When he was younger he had always said that he was going to be an astronaut, he always said he was going to go to places unknown and make history. Among the teen's posters of various superheroes scattered around his room, there were also posters of planets, stars, galaxies... you name it. Not to mention the various Star Wars and Star Trek posters and figurines he had lying around.
Alfred was just a big geek.
And Arthur loved him for it.
Alfred looked up from his telescope (watching the sky was another hobby) and smiled a little at the thought of his secret boyfriend. They had been dating for near six months and they hadn't told a single

You closed your (e/c) eyes, gently hitting your head against the wall of the shower.
Why were you so afraid? When he had first taken you out you wanted it to be a date, but, when faced with the actual love he felt for you? Why did you back out?
Sighing, you lifted your head again, letting the scalding water run over your body before shutting off the water. You wrung out your hair, grimacing at the chlorine-damaged texture before slinging it up in a sloppy ponytail.
Wrapping the towel around your body, you grabbed a pair of baggy sweats from your dresser and a team T-shirt to throw on over your (f/c) underwear and bra. Shaking the morning’s events from your head, you called up Alfred. “We still on for today?” y

Sure enough, 30 minutes before your practice ended three boys in sweats and T-shirts sluggishly made their way onto the pool deck.
Someone shouted at you. “Yo Milo!”
The ball was in the air, arching towards you. Quickly, you twisted around your defense and stretched your arm up, catching the ball in the palm of your hand. Looking around and, seeing no one was open, you smacked it in front of you, driving forward until you were at the goal. A quick wet shot and you were lining up at the half again.
For the rest of practice, you and the team scrimmaged, ending when the coach called for sprints again.
Lovino, Matthew, Yao, and Mattias did not last long, like usual, but this time Ivan got a bad start. You whipped away from the lane line and ended up just ahead of the large Russian, as well as Alfred.

Everything had gone off without a hitch on that day; the best day of your life. You couldn't believe that the best day of your life had happened only two days ago; your marriage to Alfred F. Jones.
The two of you had gotten married six months after his proposal and honestly six months had been the most wonderful and most stressful few months you had ever experienced. The stress was trying to get everything done on time but what surprised you was how active America was in planning it all.
Oh Alfred of course since it was your wedding, it had to be big and by big you mean BIG. Alfred had to go over the top with everything. He had to make sure you had the exact dress you wanted no matter how expensive it was. He had to make sure that you were getting married at the most beautiful and perfect of places. When Sasuke and his group of obnoxious boys walked into the class room, he immediately spotted his blonde boyfriend in the middle of the group of flamboyant girls. Naruto noted the group of boys walk into the class then smiled at Sasuke before returning to his previous notion. The boys saw this and shared the same surprised look on their faces.
“I KNEW IT!” Kiba yelled, grabbing the class’s attention, “Nothing, nothing, nothing to see here, nothing to see here.” he shooed their eyes away. “You two are back together aren’t yah?”
“We never broke up.” Sasuke took his seat.
“Yes!” Kiba cheered, “Give me my money!”
“Damn it!” Neji hissed as he pulled out his wallet.
“You win this time Inuzuka.” Gaara scowled doing the same.
“Take your seats students.” The teacher instructed once he walked into the classroom. The students complied.
Finally the bell rang signaling home time.

The school bell rang signaling lunch time in K.I.H.S (Konoha International High School). Students flock into the cafeteria casually talking and interacting with one another. Naruto and the group of girls that he usually hangs out with took their usual seats at their usual cafeteria table. The group of girls consisted of:
Ino, Tenten, Hinata and Sakura from the anime we all know and love ‘Naruto’.
Sawako, Chizu and Ayane from an anime that I grew to love ‘Kimi ni Todoke’.
“It’s steamed beans and poison today everybody. Yum!” Ino gave a sarcastic comment as she took her seat.
“I actually like steamed beans.” said Tenten, “Yet again, the steamed beans my mum makes at home actually look like beans. I do not recognize this at all.” She looked at her plate with disgust.
“My mum made me sandwiches for detention later, no way am I sharing it with you guys

It was 5:30 when Naruto finally arrived home. He threw his bag to the side and slumped onto the couch, exhausted.
“Naruto what took you so long to get back I was so worried how dare you not call me.” Kushina chattered as she exited the kitchen into the living room covered in flour and carrying a whisk.
“Kakashi gave me an extra punishment.” Naruto groaned, “Can you believe that man?”
“This is all your fault for insulting a fellow student during class time I could have sworn I raised you better than that.” she chattered as she returned into the kitchen, “Come help me bake cookies.”
“I’d love to, but I can’t.” Naruto got off the couch.
“Excuse me, what did you just say?” his mother’s red head popped out through the door, “Get into this kitchen now!”
Naruto walked towards the stairs, “I’m going out with Sasuke.”

The next morning, 6:15 am, I walked out of my house-ready for my jog- only to find Naruto in my front lawn. He was crouched over, seemingly playing in the dirt. I didn’t pay much attention to that seeing that his ass was pointing in my directing.
“Ohayo!” I greeted with a smile.
“Hm?” Naruto stood upright and turned to me. He was shirtless, sweaty and covered in dirt. I was okay with him being shirtless, definitely okay with that. I was also okay with him being sweaty, but dirty? NOT AT ALL! He also held a small garden shovel and a mini-rack in his two really, really, REALLY dirty hands. “Oh, Ohayo Sasuke!”
“Is there a reason you’re in my front lawn so early in the morning?” I asked with a grimace on my face. He was dirty...
“Oh I just got back from work and an idea popped into my head.” Naruto said picking up a small flower pot that stood behind him, “I thought I coul

I stretched my limbs awakening from my humble sleep. I slept all through morning and through the afternoon; it was now evening, 4p.m. I rose from my bed feeling a rumble in my stomach. I hadn’t eaten anything ever since work ended, perfect time for a few bowls of ramen.
I didn’t bother myself to get dressed since I was going to have to leave for work soon anyway. I checked my phone and saw a couple of missed calls and 5 texts waiting to be opened and read.
I checked who the missed calls were from: they were from Sai. I assumed the texts would be from Sai as well. Three of them were, the rest were from the last person I expected to text me, Sasuke.
I read his first: Came into your room found you sleeping didn’t want to disturb. Hope you don’t mind that I turned on your Jacuzzi; PS: Hope you don’t mind I kind of violated your privacy, I won’t tell you how though.

It had survived things that no mug should have had to endure.
It had been dropped off cliffs, plunged into radioactive water, used to hold questionable substances and once travelled several hundred kilometres after Pilot tied a helium balloon to it. It had been thrown at Snippy countless times. It had suffered the indignity of being sat on by Engie after the Captain left it lying on a chair.
It had never been washed in its life.
But in the end, all it took was one little nudge, and the mug the great, glorious mug was reduced to a few shards of broken ceramic and a spatter of sad-looking tea.
It happened like this:

Oh Captain, my Captain! I say it to mock,
You're lucky as hell but to me you're a c***.
Please spare me the missions, I've no head for heights,
Balloons and big lists lead me only to blights.
Evading the probes of an alien race,
Then having to witness your > : ( angry face...
But what choice have I? I'm involved in these fights,
With Cancerous space-monsters full of red sprites,
And Lemonade weirdos and God knows what next,
Just how can you stay so serene and unvexed?
What price should I pay for your simple delights,
Be eaten by whales after soiling my whites?
I know you won't listen, but you'll come unstuck,
And one of these days you'll run right out of luck,
Your empire will fall, and your ego besides,
It's karma for sure, like the turn of the tides,
And then I will lol, sitting in my own muck,
Coz after all this I just won't give a f***.

It was the end of summer, so Cayucos was packed with tourists who wanted to see the beach one last time before returning to school and jobs. Children were dashing around, giggling happily, and their families closely followed behind. On this particular street, by the beach, were various places to pick up snacks such as ice cream, and other interesting and unique shops that sold crafts and antiques.
Skye was walking down this street, and certainly didn't fit in with the crowd. Their cheery, smiling faces were in contrast to his empty expression. He didn't look sad, just blank. His bare feet were still covered in sand from previously walking on the beach. A group of children dashed past him, nearly crashing into him, but Skye paid them no attention.
He finally reached his destination; an old, multiple story antique shop. A bell above the door rang as he entered the expansive, cluttered building. A skinny blonde girl behind the cash register counter looked up from her magaz

It was early in the morning, the sun was not even out in the sky yet. In the dark, Zain attempted to put on his shoes. Without light he could not manage to tie his shoelaces, so he left them unlaced. He did not grab a bag or anything, all he needed was the clothes on his back. The pale merman stared out the window and wondered how many hours of darkness he had left. He could see a sea gull flying in the sky; he didn't have much time.
"Mnnh...." Arun groaned as he woke up from his deep sleep.
"Why is he awake? I was being silent!" Zain thought. He watched as the young merman rubbed his sleepy eyes, and decided not to panic.
"Zain, are you up?" Arun mumbled as he saw the dark silhouette that was Zain.
"Can you get me another blanket? I'm cold..." Arun asked. He still looked like he would fall back to sleep at any second.
Zain reached for a folded blanket on the couch, and walked over to Arun to hand him the blanket. Judging by his footsteps, Arun could tell Zain had shoes on.

Cyan was sitting on Skye's bed, and Skye was in front of him on his knees, applying bandages to the merman's abused body.
"He's so quiet...." Cyan thought as he fidgeted nervously. He hated the awkward silence.
Skye was nearly done when Cyan noticed that Skye's arm was bleeding as well.
"Oh, this?" Skye explained as if it were nothing, "I just cut it on some glass."
"Let me wash it for you." Cyan offered, but Skye stood up.
"I'll do it myself," He turned towards the bathroom, but Cyan grabbed Skye's arm.
"Let me do it," Cyan begged. Skye gave in and removed his ruined pajama shirt.
"He's feeling guilty," Cyan thought as he poured water from a bottle onto a rag and gently dabbed Skye's arm. He kept glancing up at Skye to make sure it wasn't causing him pain, but his expression never changed. Once all the blood was cleaned off of his skin, Cyan began to clumsily apply bandages to his arm. Fortunately, he managed to finish and gave Skye's arm a loving caress.
"Do you remember my promise?"

Skye somehow survived Gwen's angry rant from earlier when he and the four other boys waltzed into the antique shop. The two cousins eventually made a deal; the boys would have to work if they wanted to stay. Skye told her that they were going to be guests temporarily, but he had no idea how he was going to find the courage to kick them out. He wished that they were uber annoying or mean, so that he would not feel so guilty with wanting them to leave. However, besides Arun and Cyan's occasional fighting, they were mostly innocent and childlike. Especially Nagisa, who acted like a shy little girl, just as much as he looked it. And, of course, Cyan had to stay, no matter how angry Gwen got.
The next day (after the long and uncomfortable night of sharing a bed with four boys), Skye and the mermen began to work at the antique shop downstairs. The young blond was just about to get them started on unloading a box, when his cousin walked in and stopped him. Gwen pulled him away from the others

"Where did those three boys go?" Gwen asked just as Skye and Cyan were at the front door of the shop, ready to leave.
"Uh... they went home..." Skye lied, although it was partly true. He didn't make eye contact with his cousin so that she might assume he was too busy to talk.
"Home? But you told me they were homeless." Gwen continued to ask and one of her eyebrows rose in puzzlement.
"They bought a new home," Skye gave his cousin a poor lie, and Cyan turned away from Gwen to hide his unease.
"Surely not from the money they got from working from me! I barely paid them anything! They barely EARNED anything," Gwen brought her hands to her hips.
"They've been saving up...." Skye scratched the back of his head nervously.
Gwen went silent, and Skye began to believe that his lies didn't work. She eventually sighed and Skye braced himself for more questions.
"And just when they were starting to get the hang of it too," she said sadly.
Cyan breathed a sigh of relief and smiled quickly at Skye.

Zain stared down at the shattered mug at his feet. While finding an item for a costumer, he accidentally bumped into a shelf. Even though it was broken into several pieces, Zain could still see the poorly drawn logo on the front. It was probably a souvenir from a middle-of-nowhere tourist trap town; it was no loss.
"Oh my... that's too bad," said the customer beside him.
Zain merely nodded. This customer was causing him to be even more silent than usual. Her face was bright pink and her eyes were wide as she continuously stared at him.
"Am I really that scary?" Zain thought. He dare not speak for he thought he might terrify her even more.
"A-Anyways," the teen-age girl continued, "the item I want is the necklace on the top shelf. The one hanging on the mannequin."
The tall boy used his long arms to effortlessly remove the necklace from the high shelf. Before handing it over to the costumer, he briefly stared at the jewel in his hands.
"Its such a shame that she's buying it," Zai

Skye gradually woke up. He blinked a few times, adjusting to the light. After glancing at his digital alarm clock, he realized he had slept in to almost noon. Skye wasn't surprised, Cyan and him had stayed out pretty late last night. Luckily for him, it was the weekend and he didn't have to worry about summer school.
The spot beside him was empty as usual. Cyan always had to have his early morning laps.
"Where does all that energy come from?" Skye thought as he massaged his aching shoulder. Besides being very fit, Skye still felt exhausted from last night.
Skye stumbled to the kitchen and prepared a glass of orange juice for himself. He opened the sliding window above the sink that gave a view of the backyard pool.
"Hey, Cyan, what do you want for breakfast?" He called. Skye received no response. The young blond stared out into his backyard through the window, his sleepy brain slowly processing what was happening. The pool was empty.
Skye dropped his glass and it fell into the sink, ca

Skye finally reached the street that his high school was located. Having run the whole way there, Skye tried to catch his breath. As he stood there with his hands on his knees, he stared at the school building. It was completely silent since it was the weekend. Since Skye lives in a small town located right near the beach, the high school was small as well. He finally caught his breath and cursed at himself for resting. He then approached the school and walked right in, not having to climb a fence or anything like that.
Skye didn't have to worry much about security. The school was never tagged by graffiti, for there were usually never any gangs in small coastal towns like this. If anything, he would have to worry about running into a teacher, janitor, or someone working in the offices.
Once he reached the door to the main office, he tried the door, and it was locked.
"Would a school like this have an alarm system?" Skye wondered. He looked around on the ground for any object that could

"I lost control again," Zain thought.
The albino merman was laying in his new bed, even though he knew he would not be able to sleep. He brought his hand to his forehead and gripped his white hair roughly in frustration.
"Why did I have to cry? Now he's going to be worried," Zain thought.
"Damn it," He found himself saying out loud, "Damn it! I shouldn't make him worry anymore."
Zain quickly became quiet as he heard some one entering the room. He pretended to be asleep, although he knew it probably didn't look believable because he was so tense. Even with his eyes closed, Zain knew that it was Nagisa that had entered the room. In comparison to Arun's loud and clumsy feet, Nagisa's steps were quiet and graceful. The steps grew closer and closer until he knew that Nagisa was standing right beside the bed.
"Keep your eyes closed. Keep your eyes closed," Zain repeated over and over in his head.
"He knows I'm awake," Zain thought as Nagisa continued to stand beside him, "He can see how tens

Walking hand in hand, Skye and Cyan returned from their date at the aquarium. As they approached the antique shop, they spotted Nagisa and Zain walking towards them from the opposite direction. Skye and Cyan were dressed in their winter clothes, but Nagisa and Zain mysteriously had hints of sunburn across their skin. Once they reached the front door of the shop, they froze in place as the realization hit them.
"You were...." Cyan began.
"....gone too?" Nagisa finished.
All four of them entered the shop, expecting the worst. Fortunately, the shop was just as they had left it. Gwen smiled at them from behind the register and greeted them as they entered.
"Eh? Did you two go to a tanning salon?" Gwen said incredulously at the two mermen.
"Uh..." Nagisa couldn't even think of an excuse, for he didn't even know what a tanning salon was.
All four of them were much too concerned about the state of the upper levels to give Gwen a proper answer. As the climbed up the stairs, with Skye in the le
