Ahhhhhhahahahaha.... Um. Anyways. Here's the who's-who: Bat-Mite, Batman, Nightwing, Red Hood, Batman (Beyond), Red Robin, Robin, Batgirl (Babs and Steph), Black Bat, Batwoman, and, of course, Alfred Pennyworth.
Okay guys seriously there are like a million Robins and I know I didn't include all of them but I feel dead inside just thinking about how much of my life I'd have to spend drawing them all.
Who's who: Robin the Toy Wonder, Bruce Wayne (there was one time he and Tim had an age switch and he was Robin), Jason Todd, Damian Wayne, Tim Drake, Dick Grayson, Stephanie Brown, Carrie Kelly, Helena Wayne and Robin (from Batman: Year 100).
I wanted to curl up in a ball and cry while I drew Damian. We all miss you, you loveable little shit, you.
I've been rewatching and I lol'd so hard when Terry tried to tell his mom and baby bro Matt that he's the Bat and they just burst into laughter.
I imagine that if they ever ended up both in the family business, it would go beyond Dick and Damian levels of mid-combat snark. It doesn't help that being a troll is a genetic trait of the Wayne family.
ugh why do my sketches always look better - [link]
The one picture i wish i never had to draw. This is in memory of the twelve people murdered at the Dark Knight Rises midnight premier in Aurora, Colorado. Tragedies like that just remind us of the villains and heroes in this world. Rest in peace.
Ahh yes, Damian Wayne, or as some fans call him, 'That adorable little shit.' Damian began in the comics as, pretty much, a male Veruca Salt (if she had been raised by assassins.) In a few short comics he killed a person or two, beat the crap out of Tim Drake and threw a few mega tantrums. However, homicidal nature aside, Damian still remains to be quite terrifyingly adorable. When you look at the kids parents, however, his personality makes perfect sense. Damian, of course, is the son to Bruce Wayne and Thalia Al'Ghul. (I'm actually fairly sure Thalia raped Bruce to make Damian, but let's not go there) so it's no wonder he turned out the way he did. Damian began as Robin after Bruce Wayne's kinda-death-but-really-just-got-lost-in-time-or-something-whatever and Dick Grayson took over the role as Batman. Personally, i loved this new Dynamic Duo. It was kinda different to see Batman making all the cute one-liners while Robin brooded in a corner. Bruce eventually came back, but chose to keep Damian on as Robin. The funny thing is, unlike the other Robins where Batman has had to train them from scratch, Batman is actually trying to 'Un-Train' Damian from his murderous methods. The poor kid is trying, but as they say, old habits 'die' hard. Hurhurhur...sorry. Though Damian shows no hesitation is brutally beating a human, he is actually a big animal lover. He and Bruce have been at this together for just over a year and already Bruce has gotten his son a pet Dog and Cow. He is also the first vegetarian in the Batfamily...i think. In this comic i also kinda touched on this cat thing that's connected with Damian. I'm not sure if this is because of his personality, his love of animals, the fact he has a cat named Alfred in the future (when he's Batman) or if this is just something the fandom invented. Either way.... God he's cute! Hope you guys enjoyed the Robin 101 miniseries!
When I saw that notification for the Scribblenauts contest, I started drawing immediately and didn't stop until I was finished! What are the odds, too: I finally caught up with Young Justice yesterday. Anyway, I was going to draw just the Robins, but I like Cass too, and I figured I might as well make the numbers even. Man, I hope multiple characters are allowed.
From left to right (I can never remember the number of Batgirls): Stephanie Brown (Robin IV/Spoiler/Batgirl) Jason Todd (Robin II/Red Hood) Dick Grayson (Robin I/Nightwing) Bruce Wayne (Batman) Tim Drake (Robin III/Red Robin) Damian Wayne (Robin V) Cassandra Cain (Batgirl)
All the characters belong to DC, Scribblenauts belongs to 5th Cell and WB Games. All of the characters have appeared in some issue of Batman.
"Okay, okay, okay! You win! We stole J'onn's cookies!"
I wanted to do something a little simpler with a couple of characters that aren't usually in the spotlight. This might actually be the cutest thing I've ever drawn.
From left to right: Ted Kord (Blue Beetle II) Michael Jon Carter (Booster Gold) J'onn J'onnz (Martian Manhunter)
All three are the property of DC, and appear in the Justice League comics at one point or another (though this scene in from Martian Manhunter #24). Scribblenauts is the property of 5th Cell and WB Games.
