Raven X Chapter 17Season 4 - Birthright part 2Raven X Chapter 17 in Sketches More Like This
Raven and Beast Boy were cuddled up on her bed. She had refused to let go of him the entire party, not that he was complaining. They were both finally at peace with themselves...and each other. There had been a few curious glances directed their way, but they didn't care.
He smiled down at his love. "So Raven," he started quietly, "wanna tell me what happened?"
She looked up at him and smiled. "Didn't Dr. McCoy teach you better tact?"
He chuckled. "Sorry. Couldn't think of a better way to ask."
She smiled. "Well, no, I don't want to tell you." At his hurt expression, she chuckled. "I'd rather show you."
He blinked, but he understood when her eyes began to glow, and images flooded into his mind.
Raven stalked across the barren, scarred landscape. "Trigon!" she shouted out. "This is YOUR domain, I know you're here!"

Raven stood, staring at herself in the mirror, holding the boquet. At her white dress.
She never thought it would actually happen, but today was the day. She'd loved him since she was small, and today, they would be together forever.
There was a knock at the door. "Yes?"
Her Uncle Eric stepped in. "They're ready for you, dear."
She nodded, and rested her hand on his arm.
"You're beautiful, you know."
She blushed. "Thank you."
Eric led her into the aisle, and music started to play.

Would you believe me, would you agree?
It's almost that feeling we met before
So tell me that you don't think I'm crazy

Beast Boy sat on the shores of the island, staring up at the Tower. Gently, he struck a chord on his guitar. He hadn't worked on his music for a while...but then, he hadn't had a reason. Now, all he had were reasons. Gazing up at Raven's window, he sighed and struck a chord.
"I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played and it pleased the Lord"
He thought of how much he tried to do for Raven, how much he tried to make her laugh, to smile.
"But you don't really care for music, do you?"
But every time, she just pushed him away.
"It goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift"
He tried so hard...but what did it do for either of them?

As he kept playing, his mind wandered to the past.

Raven set the flowers down at the foot of the statue that was once a person...an enemy? A friend? A rival? She wasn't quite sure how she viewed her anymore. She turned to Beast Boy. "Will...she ever change back?" Normally, she'd be the one who knew the answer to that question...but her knowledge of mythical creatures was limited.
Beast Boy shook his head. "Never. A basalisk's gaze is permanent. You know...if she'd had just a hair's more control...something worth fighting for...she could have done this herself, turned herself to stone and freeze the volcano."
"How would that have been any better?"
"Then there's all sorts of magic and even mundane cures that could have been used to free her...or she might have managed it on her own." He sighed. "But now...she's trapped forever. Nothing will ever free her."

"As well as can be expected, Hank. Her magic is growing, and her skill at manipulating it is impressive. But...her mind shields, while more than effective at keeping out any mortal probe, aren't enough to keep her father out. I've attempted to help her strengthen them, but...he breaks through every time."
"Perhaps it is the shape of the shield. He gets into her mind so easily, perhaps it is not her mind he is striking through."
"You suggest he might be striking through their blood connection?"
"Blood is a very powerful force for demons, according to my research. And there are those parts of Raven's bloodwork we were never able to analyze."

Trigon continued to roar his triumph, power cosmic coursing through his veins, blood dripping from his fanged mouth. He roared again, and again, and the world shook with his roars.
As civilians, villains, and heroes alike quaked in respone to his roars, Raven sighed. Leaving her lounge chair, she floated up to his forehead, conjured a giant hand of dark energy with two fingers extended, and whacked him on the temple, right below his horn.
"Ow!" Trigon said, rubbing his forehead, and things slowly returned to normal.
"Okay, old man," Raven said, glowering at him. "YOu did your job. Now you can go home."
"Aw...you don't want me around anymore?"

Charles and Eric had been working hard, each in there own way, to help Raven in what they both now knew was coming. Charles had been working with Raven, helping her to develop both the strength and control of her powers, while consulting a few mages he knew with how to proceed in training her skills.
Eric's approach was different. In between everything else he was doing, he scrounged the world for every book of magic and spells he could get his hands on, everything from the crafting of a golem to throwing fireballs to summoning elementals. First he'd go through them for anything that could be used against Trigon. If he didn't find anything, he gave the book to Raven to add to her spell library.
Of course, not all the books she received from her Uncle were spellbooks. Some were bedtime stories and fairy tales. When he broguht those, he would always read them to her. Not that she couldn't

Cyborg was working in the garage of the Titan Tower. For once, though, he didn't actually have a major project. He was just puttering around. His last major assembly was the bike he gave to Jinx. Finally, he knew he had to actually do something besides continuously crank the same bolt on the same tiny device.
"Jeez, at the rate I'm going, next time the grass stain bugs me down here, I'll yell, 'BB! Get out of my laboratory!' Then again, he'd probably get a real kick out of that." Chuckling to himself, he went to turn on the radio. Poignant strains of guitar music filled the garage, and once again he was put in mind of the pink haired witch that was so on his mind. It seemed like just an ordinary day for the Teen Titans...until the alarm went off. Everyone ran to the common room, but instead of a mission alert, there was a message...from Batman.
"Teen Titans, please report to the Hall of Justice immediately. I repeat, please report to the Hall of Justice immediately. This is an Omega 7 Emergency." The message cut.
Robin gulped. "Cyborg, get everyone - and I mean EVERYONE - to the Hall of Justice, ASAP."

Robin shuddered. "Armageddon."
Later, at the Hall of Justice... (1)

When the second-hand serenades no longer cut it,

That is the moment when I rise up from the covers,

The Good Critic's GuideThe Good Critic's Guide:The Good Critic's Guide in Reviews & Guides More Like This
I have noticed that many critics on DA tend to leave rather harsh and sometimes subjective critiques on the pages of the artists being critiqued. Their rationale for doing so is based on the concept that 'we shouldn't molly-coddle each other and instead "tell it like it is"'. However this type of critique reflects poorly on one who is critiquing as opposed to the one who is being critiqued and I will explain why throughout the course of this guide. In essence I hope to use this resource as a way of teaching potential critics how to properly focus their abilities and direct their critiques in a manner that will allow them to be rated as a good critic.
Note: Before reading on, take note that this guide is only for literary works as I have no experience judging visual art and therefore cannot create a rating scale for those.

METROPOLIS (DAILY PLANET) – At 1:34am local time, (9:34am GMT), Gotham City, New Jersey, was reminded of the Fault Line beneath its city. A huge earthquake, which measured 8.4 on the Richter scale, lasted 84 seconds and has killed more than 200 people.
With more than 100,000 injured and missing, and early estimates placing the damage at nearly $450 Million, the death toll is expected to rise as rescuers continue to pull bodies from collapsed buildings.
Gotham City Emergency Services are already stretched to the limit, and volunteers from other cities are finding entrance into the disaster area near impossible. The quake has resulted in the shutdown of both power plants, closing the airport which is otherwise undamaged. Due to the severe damage to hospitals and clinics, doctors are having to perform surgery in the open air.

He looked around again, though he knew he would find nothing else. There was no trace of the warrior maiden anywhere.

He didn’t care that ultimately it did him no good. He just wanted out. He needed out.
He only fell silent when from complete exhaustion he collapsed on the floor between the door and bed. When he awoke a few hours later, he was still alone, though he could tell that someone had entered while he had been asleep. He’d heard no word from Thor since he had been locked away. He expected it wouldn’t be much longer until Thor had decided his fate and would sentence him. The Tide of Summer - Chapter 1The atmosphere around the large, brick building was still for the moment. A soft breeze carried stray red and brown leaves along for a journey as the warm glow from the sun, illuminated the whole world. To be completely honest, the video links I always posted on the description is mainly about Robin. That is why I wrote Parents Day. His past plus the others. I am glad that I wrote this story, because now I can see each of these characters in a new perspective. They were all strong enough to pull through. Now here is the final part of this story. Thank you for reading and the favs! Also for the support! I deeply appreciate it. Now here is Robin's story. Enjoy!
Each Titan knew that Robin preferred to keep his personal privacy, but they were curious to know about their leader's past.
Robin was hesitant at first, he knew that he had to tell his friends about his past someday. He also knew that his friends would respect his decision if he chose not to share his past to them.
Robin decided go through it. His friends had to walk through their personal hell just to share their past with them and if they could do it, then why can't he

It was another average, boring day at the tower for Jump City's famous Teen heroes. No villain was in sight let alone attacked the city. Each teen were busy in their respectable rooms minding their own business.
Robin worked out in the gym, increasing and strengthening his abilities for upcoming fights. Starfire played with Silky in her room, cuddling and bonding with her mutant pet. Raven meditated inside her dark room. Beast Boy and Cyborg played aggressively on their videogames in the ops room.

Robin and Cyborg hovered about the scene, noting the several huge craters in the park.
"It looks like one heck of a fight," Cyborg commented.
Robin remained silent as his eyes scanned over the craters. It didn't take him another second to recognize these craters were the aftermath of a starbolt. He knew that Starfire never had a hard time landing a starbolt on her enemies. She was always dead-on-sight, unless they were moving at the speed of light. The many craters told him her enemy was someone fast. The amount of craters also told him that the villain who had attacked her must have also had the ability to fly. That was another flaw Starfire had difficulty with during training.
Silently, the masked hero continued walking and observing the craters.

She made her way to the roof as usual to meet with Robin. He gave her a small smile as she approached him. "Surely our mothers are happy in a better place. My mother had always told me to smile everyday because it is a reminder of times that we had the moments of the happiness."
"I'll keep that in mind," Robin grinned. They stared back at the blue horizon, silently appreciating their morning.

The storm continued to pour outside, with no signs of letting up. However, inside Titan's Tower, the weather was no longer an issue. Robin was skeptical to join, considering Cyborg's notorious reputation at games like this, but after Cyborg reasoned with him, Robin's skepticism turned to paranoia. Robin had agreed to play, but he could not, nor would not, shake the suspicion that Cyborg would humiliate him, as he had so many times before, the first chance he got.
But even more surprising than that, Raven was playing, and that was no ordinary accomplishment. Raven had usually made it a point not to participate in such activities, choosing rather the solitude and serenity of her room to read or meditate. It was now the next morning as Beastboy and Raven walked side by side down the hall. After a fair amount of late night television watching, as was BeastBoy's preference, the two had called it a night relatively early. Somewhat out of character for BeastBoy, considering he'd usually stay up to catch the late night programs and low budget cable movies until just shy of the early hours of the morning. But now, BeastBoy had to pace himself. After all, sticking by Raven was enough of a challenge without him having to fight off exhaustion as well. It probably wouldn't be the most flattering way of getting on Raven's good side if he couldn't keep his eyes open for more than ten seconds. Not that she probably wouldn't mind the silence followed by the sound of BeastBoy collapsing onto the floor like a hunk of dead wood. As well as Raven knew Cyborg, she didn't quite know him that well. Not well enough to know what kinds of things registered on such a scale in his mind, but she could think of one person who might.
Raven turned to BeastBoy. "BeastBoy, if you were Cyborg, and you were in an almost vegetative state, what would bring you out of it."
