OH GOD I KEEP FINDING MORE"I think what annoys Watson about Sherlock a bit is Sherlock's superiority not only as a complex but as a fact. I think, Sherlock is usually right and that's going to annoy anyone. I think, Sherlock wouldn't have been licensed to be who and how he is and what he is without someone as his rock." "On Holmes, Martin [Freeman] kept saying, Oh yeah, you went to fucking Hogwarts, didn't you?'. And that's what my schooldays were like: Swallows and Amazons and Hogwarts. Martin is spot on that these schools are magical places if you know how to use them right." Benedict Cumberbatch
"The sort of opposite of Benedict in everything except the amount of talent. Benedict is a magnificent exotic animal as an actor He doesn't look like a normal person; he rarely plays normal people. He plays exceptional people. But Martin finds a sort of poetry in the ordinary man. I love the fastidious realism of everything he does. I believe everything he does. It's brand new o

THE Office star Martin Freeman has revealed that he was in the running to become the 11th Doctor Who.
"Apparently I got a mention from Russell T Davies himself on some documentary programme but never made the shortlist," said Freeman, who finished filming a modern-day take on Sherlock Holmes, penned by the Time Lord's new executive producer Steven Moffat, around and about South Wales on Sunday.
"Actually, was there even a shortlist? Wasn't there just a long list with me and every other British actor under the age of 50 on it?" he joked of the intense media speculation as to who would materialise as the cult sci-fi character's 11th incarnation.
"I got a text from Patterson Joseph, who was a favourite at one point, telling me his agent had been asked to

You don't want to say you like everything, because that means you like a lot of shit. But as far as genres are concerned, I don't want to limit myself. I don't want to be one of those people who say, "I don't like any fucking folk records." In this country, a lot of people have a casual dislike of jazz. Not specific performers but as an entire fucking concept. "Jazz? Oh ugggh, it's just fucking dreadful." To me, that'd be like saying, "I don't like any classical music. Beethoven's shit." I understand that some jazz is difficult to take. Not everyone wants to hear endless, tuneless fucking parping for ten minutes on a scale of C. But that's not all fucking jazz. I had a conversation with Ricky Gervais about it, and he said I must be pretending to like jazz. Well no, really, really not. But that doesn't mean you
I NEED TO STOP POSTING WONDERFUL QUOTES"Just before they departed I watched someone climbing pretty much into the back seat to give Martin a very enthusiastic hug. It took me a moment or two to realise it was Benedict. He then pretty much clambered over Martin to give Mark a hug goodbye. It was very sweet. And then Martin was off. To be reunited with Benedict next year in the Lonely Mountain no doubt." Steven Moffat? I don't know.I NEED TO STOP POSTING WONDERFUL QUOTES in Personal More Like This
(Just the imagery of that....!!! I want to draw it but I don't.)
"He's Bilbo-esque," the filmmaker said. "You might not always want to say that about you, right? But seriously he has the essential features of this little English gent, this country gent who is slightly old-fashioned and has to go around in the world and try to cope with it. That's not exactly who Martin is as a person, but as an actor he does that so well. The fish out of water with a sense of courage but also a wonderful sense of humor. The things that happen to him and the way he reacts to them things

"Occasionally. Fortunately though I'm already an actor and wear nicely tailored coats, so it doesn't make much difference. It can get a bit too much though. One day recently I was wearing quite a poncey coat and walking Archie around Old Compton Street and suddenly thought 'oh Christ'. I felt like such a lord. Where would fashion be without the feminine touch, though? You need that in art, fashion, everything. No one I know is a jock, I don't have any jock friends, that's why I went into fucking acting to begin with." Martin Freeman
"My thing with Holmes is the gayest thing in television history." Martin Freeman
"It was great. I got to hang out with him, and I kept a straight face for a bit and then I started giggling because I know Martin, I don't know Bilbo[he grins]. For Martin to be sitting there playing Bilbo is amazing. He's going to be amazing, he'

The Ever Evolving Icon
What is it about a fictional character first introduced to the public in Great Britain in 1887 that has kept him being reincarnated, with generationally-correct upgrades, over and over again in film and on television? Who is this literary hero whose portrayal over the past century by such past masters as Basil Rathbone and Jeremy Brett to today’s vanguard talents Robert Downey, Jr. and Benedict Cumberbatch has inspired such a continuing outpouring of fan appreciation?

i see horse peopleI'm fairly aware of how popular BBC Sherlock and Doctor Who are, but every time I see people gushing to the point of tears over how "beautiful" or "hot" the actors are I can't help but inwardly guffaw to myself. I realize beauty is often considered an item that's largely held up to and placed "in the eye of the beholder" but good lord. My eyes "behold" horse-faced skeleton people. I've seen posts from girls who said they were "nearly in tears" due to Benedict Cumberbatch's "Adonis-like" beauty on more than once occasion, but the man looks as horse-faced as it gets to me (same with that Adler woman). I've likewise seen people get riled just because someone else didn't share their opinion that the current Matt Smith doctor was "attractive" and saw a few instances where people would respond with, "oh, they must not have any appreciation for chiseled jaws or manly noses."i see horse people in Personal More Like This

Marble, Granite, Bronze, Silver, Gold!
Early statuary depicted one’s god’s, and since the medium is
as much the message as the visual message itself – the medium had
to proclaim: This god is as forever lasting as this stone that His
rendering is hewn out of! But all that is solid eventually melts
away into the air, even the most powerful ancient gods and kings –
As the poet Shelley so poignantly noted in Ozymandias.
I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. Near them on the sand,
Half sunk, a shatter'd visage lies, whose frown
And wrinkled lip and sneer of cold command
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamp’d on these lifeless things,
The hand that mock’d them and the

Where did you learn?
I've taught myself. My Secondary (High) School art teacher told me 'cartoon are not art' and so I had no interest in perusing 'art' classes any further. At about 13 I began to draw every day, less studying, more drawing what came to mind, creating characters and worlds and getting my thoughts and feeling onto paper.
I joined deviantART at 15, and the feedback and critique I've gained through sharing my art online has helped a lot in my improvement. I wasn't born with any 'gift', unless you count functioning hands, I learned through practice. My early drawings are just as bad as everyone elses (I keep them as proof) I a
