"Come on, Nessa, I promise its safe." Will turned his dazzling blue eyes on her as if he knew the influence those eyes could have and she glared in return.
"What part of 'HELL NO' don't you understand?" she grouched, slumping farther into the chair that she sat in. The wall at her back smelled unbearably sweet, and when she wasn't allowing Will to irritate her, she was wondering what kind of magic was being used and the reasons behind that fact.
"But you were delirious last time," he objected as he paced across the floor in his bare feet, pointing accusatorily at her. "That hardly counts." He looked good this morning. A clean white shirt clung to him in all the right spots and though he was bulky by no means, Nessa could see the definition of muscle with every move he made.

The first thing Nessa was aware of before opening her eyes were the cold, hard facts she'd wanted to escape in reality. Images rose sharply before her eyes of Ty's unseeing gaze, the fire that exploded in her chest, the blood dripping from the gaping hole in Nathan's chest. . .things she never wanted to see, and things she'd never be able to un-see.
Her eyes flew open with a gasp as she tore out of her nightmare, and flicked around the room warily. She was in an unfamiliar place with a low ceiling. There was a single window on the farthest wall, and a fireplace in the corner, the last wood pile smoldering into ashes. It was the only light in the room, and beyond the fact she was lying on an incredibly comfortable bed, she couldn't make anything else out.
