Stethacanthus is an extinct genus of shark which lived in the Early Carboniferous epoch, around 360 million years ago. Fossils have been found in Europe and North America.

Stethacanthus was around 70 centimetres (2.3 ft) long, and in many respects, had a typical shark-like appearance. However, it is best known for its unusually shaped dorsal fin, which resembled an anvil or ironing board. Small spikes (enlarged versions of the dermal denticles commonly covering shark skin) covered this crest, and the shark's head as well. The crest may have played a role in mating rituals, or used to frighten potential predators.

A new, magical design; a leopard with peacock feather and semi precious bead strand.

The leopard and feather are both made of hand carved, hand shaped leather.  Each hair and quill are carefully cut into the leather for added detailed realism.  Then it's painted with a variety of iridescent color-shifting acrylic paints.  A tiger eye stone is set in the center of the mask, and the bead strands feature amber, pear and lapis in bright matching peacock colors.

A really fun, one-of-a-kind mask that I'm very pleased with...available here: www.etsy.com/listing/182967326…

I may be an accomplished mask maker but I am terrible with tech stuff. Fortunately my photographer Beki just showed me how to use watermarks (really, I was completely clueless). So here is my newest, large polar bear mask (a custom piece) with my new watermark! Yay!

Bear is made of hand carved leather, painted with acrylics, made entirely by my hand.

Another tiny wire tree, I used silver wire this time, and I like the way it looks, the whole sculpture is only about 3 inches tall, the tree is 1 and 1/2 inches tall. If you look very closely you can see a little copper wire birds nest on the right hand side of the tree!

1:12 Dollhouse scale Easter baskets.

I'm slowly starting to upload what was leftover from my show onto my Etsy and onto here since a lot of it didn't get photographed. Starting with more Easter items first.

Four baskets in two different styles. They have white and dark chocolate bunnies, bunny and regular peeps (they're actually squishable!), Easter eggs, little Cadbury chocolate eggs, and jellybeans. They'll be up on my Etsy in the next couple of days.

The larger baskets may be a tiny bit too big, but I've been told otherwise by the people in my miniature club. I personally prefer the smaller ones. :P

1:12 Dollhouse scale cornbread in a cast iron skillet.

I bought a few real metal skillets before the show that I wanted to fill with different foods. The pans came unfinished, so I had to wash, prime, paint, and seal them, as well as the little spatula. This one has some freshly made cornbread in it. :)

This is the only one I have left, so once it's gone, it's gone!

Ice cream cones in 1:12, 1:24, and 1:48 size, made from polymer clay.

Trying to get back into working after being on and off for a while. Thought maybe some smaller scales would help shake things up a bit. :)

Indeed, why not aluminum? Does not oxidize, lighter and more pliable to work with... The tree is about 12 inches tall by 14 inches wide, and is made of 3-foot lengths of aluminum wire -- continuous from top to bottom.

Soft Tree -- made from the same fine wire windblown trees and the willos tree, the leaves of this bonsai were twisted to create a soft canopy, reminiscent of Juniper species, a very popular tree used for bonsai purposes. 10x10x4 inches.

This goat has a clear quartz heart and has an very soft faux fur coat. It's back stands about 6 inches off the ground. The frame is mildly posable; its forelegs, neck, and tail bend freely all over and it's back legs bend below the thigh. The horns are made with resin so they are resistant to breaking.

Room Guardians are small creatures that protect one's home from negative spirits and energies. These friends can be easily placed on window sills, kitchen shelves, dressers, or wherever to keep watch over the room. Each guardian has a genuine rabbit fur coat and each is individually sculpted from the wire frame to the clay face and hands, so no two are alike. The room guardians' arms, tails, and necks are bendable and Inside each of their chests is a unique crystal heart to give each one a different energy. These little guys have a lot of character and they love having a home to watch over.

 1. How did you come up with the room guardian concept?
The idea caught fire when a friend and I were walking through an antique store. On one of the bookshelves sat two stuffed foxes wearing riding clothes. I contemplated buying them because one could convince themselves that their expressionless stares were actually seeing and watching over the room. It was as if they were alive though they were a long way from being realistic. My contemplation came to an end when I realized I could spend less money and have a better one if I just made it myself. That is where

I don't really know what kind of creature this is, but hyena wolf was the best I could come up with haha. The mane is some sort of coyote fur I got from the hood of an old coat. I made this one for an art show that has now ended, so it's been made for awhile, just not posted. It has a tiger's eye heart.

This was a room guardian made for a friend. She wanted one to put in a music video she was creating. I didn't know exactly how it would be used, so I made it fully posable. Instead of just the arms, neck and tail bending, the legs are fully posable too. She left the guardian completely open and suggested it maybe have a mask. This is what I came up with. It has a bloodstone heart.
