Stethacanthus is an extinct genus of shark which lived in the Early Carboniferous epoch, around 360 million years ago. Fossils have been found in Europe and North America.

Stethacanthus was around 70 centimetres (2.3 ft) long, and in many respects, had a typical shark-like appearance. However, it is best known for its unusually shaped dorsal fin, which resembled an anvil or ironing board. Small spikes (enlarged versions of the dermal denticles commonly covering shark skin) covered this crest, and the shark's head as well. The crest may have played a role in mating rituals, or used to frighten potential predators.

I just finished a batch of these little grey foxes in natural fox colors. These are airbrushed cast gypsum reproductions of my original sculpture. There's  black rainbow sparkle ones in the Windstone store too!

Albinos occur in every species, even fantasy ones.
This is a pure white Kirin doe with pearly white scales. She is antiqued with pinkish beige. Her horn is gold plated pewter.
She's about 7inches long and 6 inches tall.

I airbrushed this male griffin with a dark face and spotted pattern, and we thought he looked like a spotted hyena. This sculpture is about 10 inches tall, and he has brown glass eyes.
He was sold on Ebay.

1:12 Dollhouse scale Easter baskets.

I'm slowly starting to upload what was leftover from my show onto my Etsy and onto here since a lot of it didn't get photographed. Starting with more Easter items first.

Four baskets in two different styles. They have white and dark chocolate bunnies, bunny and regular peeps (they're actually squishable!), Easter eggs, little Cadbury chocolate eggs, and jellybeans. They'll be up on my Etsy in the next couple of days.

The larger baskets may be a tiny bit too big, but I've been told otherwise by the people in my miniature club. I personally prefer the smaller ones. :P

Needed some more rings so I made a crepe ring. The crepe is stuffed with nutella and banana slices, with a dab of whipped cream and some strawberry slices.

I just wanted to show off my new banana cane. lol It's still not the way I want it, but it looks much better than my old one!

I have nutella in my fridge...and some leftover crepes. All I'm missing is the banana. :P lol

So in celebration of Mother's Day coming up soon, I'm making a bunch of mama and baby sculptures! My assistant Dezi :iconxlightangelwolfx: demanded I make some gryphons, because they are such a rarity from me.

The baby is about the size I usually make my little gryphons (a tad smaller actually) so the mama is the biggest gryphon I've made. She's also the most detailed. So. Many. Feathers... I think that is why I don't make many gryphons. All their tiny feathers drive me crazy. I love her swoopy bangs and extra fluffy tail :D

Hand-made from Premo Sculpey clay, just under 2 inches tall

Up for AUCTION on [link] through May 28 (Tuesday)

I am pretty stoked on this guy. And he's actually not REALLY big, I don't make really large sculpts, but he feels bigger. He's still just 3 inches tall. But there is LOTS of detail packed into him. That mane. Ugh. Ridiculous. Not to mention the wings! I made them extra strong by putting wire mesh inside them. I forgot how much work big wings are :XD:

Handmade from colored Premo Sculpey clay, 3 inches tall

A new, magical design; a leopard with peacock feather and semi precious bead strand.

The leopard and feather are both made of hand carved, hand shaped leather.  Each hair and quill are carefully cut into the leather for added detailed realism.  Then it's painted with a variety of iridescent color-shifting acrylic paints.  A tiger eye stone is set in the center of the mask, and the bead strands feature amber, pear and lapis in bright matching peacock colors.

A really fun, one-of-a-kind mask that I'm very pleased with...available here: www.etsy.com/listing/182967326…

I may be an accomplished mask maker but I am terrible with tech stuff. Fortunately my photographer Beki just showed me how to use watermarks (really, I was completely clueless). So here is my newest, large polar bear mask (a custom piece) with my new watermark! Yay!

Bear is made of hand carved leather, painted with acrylics, made entirely by my hand.
