BF Chapter 13Spending time in Peanut's arms was like a dream come true. The feeling of his soft fur against mine, listening to his breathing and steady heartbeat - it was everything I've dreamed of for so long. And his scent! I had forgotten how nice it was, how natural and fragrant. Not to mention the heat that just radiated off him. A cat's best friend is the sun, but Peanut was just as good.BF Chapter 13 in Fan Fiction More Like This
Who ever paid for this hotel room was rich though. We were in the bedroom, but I could hear James, King and Res talking in lounge even with the door closed. Their words were a faint buzz in the background, a mere distraction. Without them there, I would have thought I was in heaven.
A knock at the door made us both groan in frustration. We started untangling ourselves from each other, but King spoke through the door, "Hey, it's dinner time. You two want to come out or should we just leave some food out for you two."
Dinner? Already? We glanced at each other before looking out the window. The sun was already
BF Chapter 12"Well, I suppose I should start from the very beginning then," said Peanut. "It's hard to pin point the exact start, but I suppose it would be your first date with Max."BF Chapter 12 in Fan Fiction More Like This
I blinked in surprised, head tilting ever so slightly to the side. My date with Max? But that was so long ago, how did it-
" Please let me explain. You see, at that point in time I was in love with you. Head over heels, completely and utterly, one hundred percent in love with you."
My eyes immediately shot to Res. It wasn't like Peanut to be so open. Sure, he was naive and his mouth sometimes ran too fast, but-
"Grape, stop giving that look. Res knows. Now stop interrupting me and let me tell the story." Peanut took a deep breath, eyes closing as a pained expression came over his face. "Do you remember that day Grape? How I helped you get ready, prettied you up and so forth? I did all that because I wanted you to be happy. But seeing you walk out that door with Max, hand in hand, it hurt. It hurt so very, very much. At

Written after meeting with Peanut and Grape
A notice came around today tell all the pets to stay home because the PETA was coming. Apparently they were coming to apologize for the actions of Joel even though they sanctioned it. Furthermore, they felt there was a lot of misunderstanding over what they actually did and wanted to clear up some misunderstandings by holding a public discussion.
Although this has nothing to do with what I think the Spirit Dragon and Pete are after, I get the feeling this will be very important. Especially since I sat down and talked with Peanut and Grape this morning. Essentially, I showed them a copy of this very journal except I removed all references to me being a human. The following transaction is what happened.
"Wait, so you're telling us that Tarot is actually a dragon and she's playing against Pete in a game of D&D?" asked Grape. "That sounds-"
"Insane?" I said.
"No. It all makes sense actually. Have you seen some of the stuff Tarot can do?"

I missed hanging out with Fox. Just sitting around the fire and reading a book or chatting about writing and politics and stuff. You know, the stuff that most other pets don't pay attention to. It was just nice being able to voice my thoughts on those subjects and actually discuss them for once. Of course, that also meant Fox was more likely to be targeted by Pete.
It wasn't until I noticed Fox's weird look that I realized I had been growling. Coughing and smiling sheepishly, I gestured for him to continue what, but simply ignored. "And what was that about?" he asked.
"Oh it was nothing," I said. "Just a random thought that crossed my mind while you were speaking."
"Mmhm." He crossed his arms and gave me that look. "And you expect me to believe that?"
"Well it's not like you can read my mind." Shrugging I went back to the book we were reading. "So why don't we go back to discussing the chapter?"
"Oh no, you're not getting out this that easily."
BF Chapter 11Someone was speaking, saying something. Was it directed at me? I wasn't sure. Then the shaking began. Slowly at first, but when I didn't respond it grew in intensity. In the end, my eyes snapped open, out came my claws and James pulled back just in time to avoid a swipe. Lucky him.BF Chapter 11 in Fan Fiction More Like This
"What is it?" I asked as I retracted my claws.
"We're almost there. And geez King, you were right. I will not be attempting that again anytime soon."
"Well then, shouldn't you be driving instead of being back here?" I said.
"Oh. Alright." I closed my eyes, ready to go back to my nap before my eyes suddenly shot open. "Wait, what!? King can't touch the pedals let along drive."
"Well he's been driving us ever since we got onto the open road. It's not like I can drive two days straight. You forget, we're driving through the night as well."
"You two can stop talking as if I'm not here," grumbled King. "And for your information, I can drive. I probably drive better than James."

Stupid alarm clock. Shut up already will you? Come on sleep, come back to me, just a couple more minutes. Please?
Sighing, I opened my eyes and brushed out my fur with my fingers. A quick yawn plus a stretch then I was reaching down and scratching the Peanut plushie behind the ears. Holding him close to my chest, I took a couple deep breaths to calm my nerves. I gave him a quick kiss on the forehead and each cheek before slipping out of bed.
Resting him on the pillow, I made sure to tuck him in before slipping sitting down in front of the computer. I turned it on and slipped on Peanut's headphones. After quick flick through the song selection to find something upbeat, my feet immediately started tapping away. Just as the computer finished booting up too.
Once I was connected to the internet, I pulled up the local newspaper and did a quick scan of all the articles. Nothing. Next I logged onto the largest animal shelter

"I know, I know." A sigh escaped. "It just feels as though something bad has happened. I mean, with how Tarot and King left and how Sabrina followed and then there's Fox. I don't know if you've noticed, but he's been tense the entire night. Something is going on. I just know it."
"Well there's not reason to fret over it. Especially since it's Sabrina we're talking about." A shudder ran through his body. "Trust me, you don't want to see her mad. Scariest thing I have ever seen."
"Even scarier than whatever made you scream like a girl in that haunted house bet?"
A second, more violent shudder occurred. "Much, much, much scarier. She could scare Death I bet. And look." He pointed to the left side of the stage. "There's Sabrina now so no need to worry."
We watched in silence from our little corner as she made eye contact with Fox and shook her head before glancing up at Fido and smiling with the barest hint of a wave. The music was still thumpi
BF Chapter 17I wasn't sure what I expected. Maybe some skulls or a few eyes of newt and maybe even weird mystical circles on the ground drawn in blood. I know Peanut would have enjoyed that... well maybe not the blood bit, but he'd have been interested in the rest. In fact, the house was essentially normal. Nothing weird, nothing crazy, nothing creepy. Well... the candles may count, but they feel more romantic than anything else.BF Chapter 17 in Fan Fiction More Like This
The steps creaked below me as we made our way into the basement. Even with my night vision, it was still hard to tell where each step was. Everything just so pitch black, I doubt I could have seen a paw waving in front of my face. Tripping on the last step, I would have face-planted if it wasn't for Sabrina.
"There'll be some lights up head." Grabbing my head, she lead the way. "And watch your step, there's junk all over the floor down here."
Clang! We both winced as I kicked something into something. "Why don't you clean it up then? Or fix the lights for that ma

"Yeah, we're headed towards the park..." Peanut buried his face in his hands with a groan. "It's a surprise party isn't it dad?"
"No. Not towards the park. Towards where we hold the Yarn Ball," I said. "But it's still a party."
"I told them we should have blinded folded you two," dad said. "But yes, it is a surprise party so be prepared to act surprised, we're almost there."
"Well couldn't they wait until I'm out of a cast? How am I meant to hassle Bino if I can't get away fast enough or chase after them fast enough?" I said.
"Peanut can carry you," said mom, "he needs the exercise."
"Plus, you've got crutches, who needs to run? Just smack him real quick. You've got good enough reaction time," added dad.
"That may be true b- What the heck did they do!?"
Last year's Yarn Ball still lingered in my mind. Here and there and I could see familiar sections. Those familiar sections? Well... that was the stuff they couldn't move. The trees,

"You should become a writer." Sabrina sighed. "You sure can tell stories."
A flush coated my cheeks. "And you should become a singer with your voice. And you're so graceful and beautiful too."
"Awww, stop it." She gave a playful giggle. "I'm not that good."
"Now you're just being mo-" Footsteps came from the other side of the door and my heart stopped. It was only once they faded that I started breathing again.
I nearly jumped out of my skin when I felt her hand brush along my shoulder. "What are you-"
"I said relax." Her hands closed around my shoulder, kneading the muscles there. A shudder ran through my body as a purr echoed i
