I trusted the scan to work…mostly anyhow. I swallowed as I waited for the light to finish scanning us. Dib seemed more interested and focused on me, instead of his own fate. I mean I DID tell him that nothing would happen to him…which it shouldn't, but still he held no hesitation to just sit there and watch me. Then I felt the morph begin. The sting of the light that blinded my vision was strangely invigorating. I felt that my eyes were being rinsed of all there color then suddenly grew back but a smaller tunnel of vision like my lenses. All the while, my skin was burning. Not like the cooking burn of rain water, but like my skin was melting inside out. I felt my lekkus split at the end and unravel into threads that felt like they were growing all over my head. It did NOT feel good. Thankfully, sense my lekkus have always been damaged to sensitivity from my experimentation days on Irk, it probably hurt a lot less than it could have. The tips

I was terrified for a moment when I stepped into the tube. Zim could have been easily tricking me to destroy myself, but it’s been so long. Why would he try to kill me now? He tapped some codes into the touch screen thingy. It was all in irken so I had no idea what any of it said. Afterwards, he walked towards the other tube. He looked so worried. With his antenna whimpered to the back of his head, he was the very image of vulnerable. This was crazy. Why did he even want to be able to be human? Maybe it was for a better disguise. I honestly didn’t care much. I wanted to see if it would work. I wondered for a second on why he didn’t just steal a human if that’s all he needed. He hated asking for someone’s help so why not take someone against their will?
Just as all these question jumbled through my spinning head I glanced over at Zim. He was so pinned up in the tube. His shoulders were tightly pressed near his head in a clinch, almost as

‘W….what the hell did he just call me…?’ I asked myself as Zim drug me out the house by my sleeve. The sky had gotten a little purplish as the night worked its way around. I hadn’t realized how long I had been at Zim’s house. I had to walk with Zim for a little since I parked kind of far. Zim didn’t have a drive way, so I parallel parked a little passed it. He walked slightly behind me, but held onto my sleeve still. He eyed my car and I blushed at my embarrassing ride. It was a bucket, I knew that, but I had forgotten about how Zim had high expectations for mechanics. His own ship had engines that surpassed all on Earth so there was no way I could have impressed him, but I wished it at least wasn’t a beaten up old ass Camaro. Don’t get me wrong, I love my car. I just felt inferior to Zim’s technological experience and tastes.
As I glanced over my shoulder, Zim didn’t seem to mind my car. He wa

When I inquired to look at Dib’s body he became unresponsive for a moment but then his jaw seemed to unhinge. “What’s wrong with your face?” I asked, an eyebrow raised.
“N-nothing. I uh…no I don’t think that’s necessary.” Dib stated with large eyes and a cracked voice. Had I asked something strange of him? Irkens had no issue of nudity. It couldn’t be a modesty thing. All the information Gir had researched for me through the TV promptly showed that almost every age of human was open to being nearly naked. All the young and older, female or male; all dressed half naked on the screen of public TV so it couldn’t be a sacred thing. Why was this such an issue for the Dib thing? Unless he was hiding something!! That has to be it! Maybe he DID get hurt somehow in the scanner and said nothing due the excitement of my own breathing issue.
Zim shook his head and leaned closer into Dib’s space. “No,

"I.....brought the pizza." was all I could get out. Zim’s alarm system was off, but I don’t know why I just walked inside. Why didn’t I knock? Why didn’t I knock?! Now I was stuck in what felt like time, worse than when Zim actually got me stuck in that time vortex. The skin I couldn’t stop thinking of was in front of me, bare. I couldn’t stop staring. I must have zoned out because I didn’t notice he had moved until he was in my face.
"Dib! Are you alright?" his gloveless hands were on my shoulders, shaking me back and forth slightly, probably trying to bring me back to Earth. "Your huge face is so white! What's wrong?" why was he half naked? Why did he take off his hoodie and his gloves in the livingroom?! No, it was my fault I should have knocked. "Dib-worm!" Zim called out once more.

Hearing his voice through the phone was like an echo of my dream. I could feel my face getting flustered. I took a deep breath, waiting for him to respond. I gulped.
"Yes, it's Zim. Listen pig-stink, I need you to do something for me." He was talking like he called all the time! I felt myself getting a little irritated. Almost like all the aggression I had from our past fights were beginning to rumble together in my head, like an earthquake that gradually builds up.
"Hold on a damn second, Zim!" I felt myself getting a little loud so I looked around real quick around my cubicle. Not only had no one seemed to have heard me, it looked like almost everyone had left for lunch. "Just what the hell are you calling me for? And what gives you the right to give me that tone? Through the damned tangles of the cottony-earthly torturous clothing, I could hear the door open. I tugged off the hooded cloth swiftly to see the Dib human staring idiotically at the door, pizza and chocolate in hand. I knew as soon as I saw him I shouldn’t have left the field offline. He babbled about getting the food and sorry for one thing or another, but everything he said seemed to spill out of his mouth more than actually speak about anything. The ride to the lab was intense. I kept feeling like something was wrong. Zim seemed to be acting stranger than usual. He was touching his face and breathing uneasy. I knew I shouldn’t have let him have his way…This was more dangerous than he realized. What if his hood slipped off? What if his glasses broke? Some of the most curious scientific minds work there and I doubt they’d believe he was wearing contacts. I couldn’t help, but clinch the steering wheel while I tried to calmly instruct Zim to stay close. I was relieved to hear that he wasn’t about to argue or ask too many questions.
When we got to the gate, an officer leaned in my window and checked my id. He didn’t seem to care who was next to me. No one argued about what I did at the lab thankfully. Dib’s hurried pace soon slowed to a steady walk as he got closer to Zim’s base. He delayed getting there as he was both afraid and nervous of what he may find here. He actually started to second guess if this was the best thing to do, but he arrived before he knew it. Once it were visible across the road from him, Dib stopped and stared at it for a short time. He drew in a deep breath, whispering unsure words of encouragement before starting closer towards it.
Zim's base looked pretty similar on the outside, except for where his gnomes keeping his house protected had been destroyed. Though, it did seem to have an eerie aura around it which was something that hadn’t been present in the past.
Dib had made it to the front door now, staring upon it as if there were something fairly interesting about it. In reality, he was just preparing himself for what he was sure would be a quite shocking sight. Finally, he pushed the door open and flicked on the lights wi

Dib stared at Zim wide-eyed in panic as he approached him slowly, backing up a few clumsy steps before bumping into the fence behind him. He looked over his shoulder and eye it, dreading the fact that he had to climb the damned thing if he wanted to avoid the same fate his teacher had met.
After glancing back at Zim another time, seeing that he was getting closer to him quicker than he thought, he turned and faced the fence and backed up a few steps. He drew a shaky breath before running at it and making a leap as he got close to the fence, grunting as he hit it and started his desperate climb.
A screech of obvious rage exploded from the hobbling being that was trailing far behind his escaping form. “IB!!!!” The name practically pierced through the air as wild eyes, even through those contacts, locked onto him frighteningly and his arms outstretched in a dire want to rip the other from the rusty chained fence.

After several minutes of just staring at the computer in complete terror, Dib turned to the platform and headed towards it. He shut off the lights on his way out, the computer’s bright monitor illuminating the room now. His head turned to look back at it, nodding once as if to thank it before stepping onto the plate in front of him. The platform rose again for him to take him back upstairs into the wreckage. Now he had an answer as to what happened and why Zim was behaving like he was. The better question was, would he regret seeing that though; seeing the complete self-destruction of his now former worst enemy and now current worst nightmare?
The thing that made seeing that video so traumatizing was that he had actually grown to some what care about Zim. Yes, they were enemies both out to stop each other at every turn, but before Zim, he didn’t have a reason to get up every day and go to school. Dib remained in an almost trance-like state for a few moments as he recalled a few memories of Zim. He took another deep breath before speaking again in a quiet tone. “Zim... He was pretty interesting.”
"Yes? What is his personality like?" The doctor questioned, beginning to write again at the others decision to elaborate more on the subject.
Dib slowly looked back to the doctor, shifting in his seat as he considered the question. “Well, he was loud and obnoxious and would often insult the human race whenever he had the chance to. But, he was very proud of his race and his leaders. He made every attempt to take over Earth even if he failed every time. But I liked that about him...” Dib’s voice trailed off some as his gaze lowered. “I admired that about him actually..”
Dr.Gaul hummed and nodded his head a bit. "Well, I can only chalk this up as more schizophrenia from how you say this. You seem very fond of this little delusion as

As Dib stood outside of his home, he couldn't help the overwhelming loneliness that washed over him. After the neighbours reaction, he highly doubted anyone would take him seriously. Not like they had taken him seriously before anyway.
On top of the extreme aloneness, the boy was feeling a massive amount of paranoia. His house had proven to be just as dangerous a place to be now, and after seeing how easily and quickly Zim could infiltrate it, he realized he would never feel at peace inside of it. He would always be looking around himself, checking to make sure he was truly alone.
Dib took only small, slow steps towards the house now, his eyes flicking everywhere as he scanned for any threats. He was quite jumpy now though, so when a small leaf flew by him he jumped backwards a step and let out a high pitched scream. He began to breathe rapidly until realizing it was just a leaf before taking a deep breath and staring forward again, his eyes continuing to scan his environm

Upon arriving home on that quiet, eerie night, Dib was relieved to find that no insane Irken had followed him. He was alone now, and he had the feeling he would have a peaceful night in contrast to the others he had experienced.
As Dib had made his way into the house and up to his room, the lingering smell of day old blood hit him. It wasn’t quite as harsh and foul as the pile of junk found in Zim’s closet. However, it was enough to make the boy groan in both agony and nausea, but the smell didn’t seem to stop him from hobbling to his bed and allowing himself to collapse upon it.
At least he was safe for now, and tonight would be one of the only nights open for him to sleep without much worry. Zim was still too weak to come for him, and the computer was keeping him indoors for tonight.

Resolve came in the form of first sunlight beaming through the shattered hole that was at one point a window. It immediately melted away the shadows and extinguished the coolness that the night had brought. Everything was completely visible now and revealed to the paranoid human.
However, even after the sun had come up, Dib took a while to convince himself that there wasn't actually anything there, and that it had all just been a crazy delusion in his head. After several more minutes of watching everything around him, he had finally convinced himself that he was alone now, which actually relaxed him and made him realize how tired he actually was. It was too late to try and sleep now though since he had to get ready for another dreadful day of school.
He didn't try too hard, though, as he decided to stay in the bloodied and torn cloths from the night before and only ran his hands over his hair in an attempt to smooth it out. He was far too tired and stressed to be concerned

Dib’s eyes widened in shock at the split second where Zim’s old self had just flashed across his face. It was then that he had the sudden desire to help the suffering Irken rather than fight him and try to rid himself of him for good. A moment later, the boy grabbed hold of the Irken’s arms and pulled him towards his chest before standing. “I’ll… try, Zim..” He whispered before running downstairs and screaming at the computer. “Help me fix him!! There has to be some way to stop this!”

Where it all started
Rubbing at his tired eyes, Dib took a moment to collect himself. It was late, way into the early morning hours, but this needed to be done before the chemical reaction was over. He pushed his large glasses back up his forehead and leant over the glaringly pink microscope again. What he saw made his heart beat faster in excitement. The light yellow nanomachines beneath the thin glass worked fast, removing the faulty bases from the sample's DNA while leaving the natural structures intact. A small smile formed on his lips after a few minutes, the sample almost completely sanitized and the tiny nanomachines still working wonderfully.
But it didn't last. As soon as the faulty DNA had been perfectly removed, the leftover structures began to disintegrate, being taken apart by those wretched, little machines.
Jerking back with a frustrated yell, the boy barely had enough self-restraint to not throw his glasses, and with them a few pieces of lab equipment, to the ground in

For the umpteenth time, Zim found himself sighing as he tried to concentrate on the checkups he wanted to do, on the station's operating system. Concentration was hard to hold on to, however, when he found his eyes drifting over to where Dib lay, on one of the padded, pink benches to sleep off the stress. The boy had cried for nearly an hour straight, only stopping when exhaustion got the better of him and the alien had to help move him to a spot where he could rest.
Shaking his head, Zim tried to go back to running system checks while the human slept. There was nothing else to do for the alien.
He managed a full five minutes more before he threw up his arms with a frustrated huff, simply switching the station's main computer on to run a standard diagnosis instead of making a more thorough, manual checkup. Slowly and stealthily, as not to rouse the resting human, Zim drew closer, taking a seat just next to Dib to watch him instead of the screens.
Even in sleep, the boy's face was drawn

"Zim?" he called quietly, not wanting to come too close when the smaller male was still upset.
For a long moment, Dib was only met with silence.
Zim stayed where he was, unmoving, keeping his stare glued to the lazily blinking screen.
Just when the boy came to the conclusion that Zim didn't want to talk to him, after all, and that leaving him alone was a good idea, the alien gave a little huff and turned to face him.
“What is it?”
Zim was still tense, Dib could tell, seemingly willing to listen but still bothered by all of this. It glared from the dissatisfied expression in those smooth, green features, a frown pulling at his lips. Dib hesitated, unable to find the right words to say, no matter how much he tried.
“I... about this... I wanted...” He cleared his throat, struggling with the returning embarrassment that quickly colored his pale cheeks. “I didn't mean to upset you. Really, I didn't. If I went too far, I apologize.” Not that Dib really...

„Come back here, filthy human! How DARE you take what's ZIM'S!“ Dib laughed triumphantly, holding his loot to his chest while he ran down the corridors of Zim's lab, in hopes of escaping his pursuer.
„It's mine now, Zim! Deal with it!“ He cried, skidding around a corner and running towards the large storage rooms. Maybe he could hide in between the boxes and shelves long enough to make good use of the stolen package in his arms. Zim was close on his heels though, easily matching his speed.
The alien caught up with him just when he ran through the open storage room doors. With a roar, Zim leaped forward, knocking Dib over with the impact of his smaller body. They tumbled to the floor, not even stopping for a second before starting to roll across the ground, both fighting for the upper hand. „Give it back to Zim!“
„Never, spaceboy! It's mine now! You took all the others!“
As usual, it was an earnest, but somewhat

Just as Zim had dreaded, Dib's fit lasted well over two hours, which the boy spent curled into a tight little ball on the floor, clutching at his head and occasionally giving a few muffled sobs.
And the entire time, the alien sat with him, watching that he kept breathing and that he wouldn't end up having spasms and injuring himself. It rarely happened, but Zim knew it was probably best to be on the safe side.
At least, Dib wouldn't remember any of this. Once he woke, he would be tired, confused and sometimes, understandably, frightened. That, however, could usually be fixed with a good night's sleep and some distraction.
Of his attacks or whatever happened during them, Dib never had any memories.
And it probably was best that way.
At long last, the boy stirred, a muffled whimper on his lips as he uncurled and rolled over onto his back. Unsteady hands rubbed at his eyes as Dib blinked and tried to get his eyes to focus.
“Finally awake, Dib-thing?”
Zim's voice was low

Setting up the lab was done very quickly and after barely a few hours, it was good to go and able to accommodate two or more 'guests'.
They had modified one of the already existing cells – or was 'cage' a more appropriate name for it? - to be secure even from an Irken's abilities. Despite Zim's claims that Skoodge was a rather useless specimen of his species, they figured it was better to be safe than sorry.
There was no need to bother much with higher security or strengthening the restrains for a human. No human being would be able to break out of the highly advanced Irken technology. Leave some damage? Maybe. But not enough to bother with.
An Irken invader, however, no matter how incompetent, would have the equipment to break out of a simple cell. So in order to prevent that, there were some upgrades needed. Dib had his doubts that the minor alterations Zim made to the cell's programming and the odd little device he had placed just outside of it would suffice, but the seriousne

It may seem like it's a long ways off from now, but before you even know it I'll be in my seventh or eighth month and need a disguise to even go out of the house because at that point no clothes will be able to hide it.”
Zim shook his head. “Then I shall stay inside with you.” he said, not minding himself if they spent a few months locked up in his base together.
“We can't stay inside the entire time though...I thought you wanted us to sign up for those classes pregnant couples go to to prepare.”
“Oh right…” Zim had forgotten about

Tightening his grip on the bed sheets beneath him, Dib could hardly bear to even look at Zim in that moment as the other's actions had been anything but called for. "I can understand you being mad at Stella, but did you really have to be so hard on her younger sister?" he pulled his knees in to himself, as though to protect his own smeets from Zim's brash nature.
Zim looked at Dib completely lost. "What are you talking about?" he asked, Dib's body language only confusing him even more.
"I'm talking about you pushing her six-year-old sister off the bed just because she touched your antennas!"
Zim looked around the room and then back at Dib. "What?" he looked worried for the other now. "Are you okay?" he then asked, not knowing what Dib was yelling at him for or what had set him off in the first place.
"What do you mean 'What'? You just shoved Stella's sister off the bed! Quit acting like you have no idea what I'm talking about!" Dib glared slightly at Zim, irritated by how lightly the o

In a bit of a daze still, Zim shook his head at Dib's question. "Oh, yeah! Yeah, I'm coming." he hopped up and rushed to the door, still a bit shaken.
Rose eyed Zim curiously. "Everything alright, Zim? You look like you've just seen a ghost." she said, referring to how pale he had suddenly become.
"I'm fine!" Zim snapped, grinning at her to prove it.
Confused now, Rose blinked down at him. "A-Alright then..." she turned to Dib. "And how about you, Dib? Are you feeling alright?" she asked.
"Hmm?" Dib lazily blinked his eyes up at her before letting them drop. "O-Oh...Yeah...I'm fine..." he said in a somewhat tired voice.
"Sooo...Are we going to eat?" Zim asked, changing the subject.
"Oh...Yes. Follow me. I have the table set downstairs in the living room." Rose said, leading them downstairs.
Curious as to what they would be eating, Zim followed.

Zim froze at his computer's words. "Wh-What?" the word escaped him, his eyes wide before he glared up at the computer. "What growths?! Show me the scans!" he demanded, pointing one finger at the ground in front of him.
"Fiiine...You know, you could learn to say 'please' every once in a while..." the computer said in a slightly irritated voice, especially considering it was getting yelled at despite doing what Zim had asked him to do. Bringing up the scans nonetheless however, it displayed for Zim a full body scan of Dib that revealed three unknown, egg-shaped forms in the lower half of Dib's abdomen.
Paling at the sight of them, Zim instantly began playing around with his fingers nervously. "B-But...No! Th-That can't be what I think it is...C-Can it?" he asked, looking up at the computer worried and swallowing. "D-Does he have cancer?" he then

Sleeping for the next hour or two, Dib didn’t awaken again until he heard the sound of the doorbell ringing upstairs. “H-Huh?!” he came to, sitting up in the bed quickly.
Snoring lightly next to him, Zim didn’t budge.
“Zim?” Dib looked down at the Irken. “Who could that...” he then began to say before gasping. They had forgotten to unlock the door for Zim's leader! Scrambling to his feet, he searched the floor frantically for his clothes but could only find his pants, his shirt having been discarded elsewhere.
The doorbell rang again followed by some pounding.
“A-Ah!” Dib looked around for something else he could pull on over his chest. He considered grabbing the blanket on the bed, but decided against it seeing as how he didn't want to disturb Zim. So, grabbing the first shirt he could find out of the bag of clothes they had bought the other day, he didn't even look before pulling it on and running upstairs. Little did he rea

Closing the box, Zim smiled back and stored it safely in his PAK. "I'm going to go check up on him!" he cheered, rushing for the stairs.
"Oh! U-Umm...Wait, Zim! I-I think we should tell you something!" Rose called after him. But it was too late. He was already up the stairs and out of hearing range. Knowing that the encounter would be less than pleasant, Rose sighed.
Zim rushed excitedly into Dib's room. "Dib?" he whispered. "Dib, are you awake? Are you feeling any better?" he asked.
Shuddering at the wave of heat washing over him, signaling Zim's return back to the house, Dib hid even more underneath the covers. Not wanting to have to deal with anybody after what had happened earlier, he sank even further under the covers.
Going to the bed, Zim smiled and sat down to cuddle up next to Dib. "I guess you're still asleep." he said, unable to stop grinning no matter how hard he tried. He was just too happy. "I'll keep you wa
