It was very peaceful. He felt more at ease now, outstretched his legs and leaned back, enjoying the wonderful view of the lake, observing the people passing by and the sound of birds chirping nearby. Eva, too, was now in a cheerful mood and even laughed a little to herself every now and then, as she spoke to him about her family, her trips with them to England, France and some other neighbouring countries including Germany. When asked what business she had, being in a town like this, she told him her family owned a small summer house here and that they came for a holiday; she, her mother and her father. She mentioned she had an older brother too, but he stayed behind, in Vienna, with his own family.
