Earth's Hope: Chapter 1 I ran, hearing the horrendous howling of hounds close behind me. The angry and frustrated shouts of men followed after the howls, and then arrows shot through the trees. They buzzed with speed, and then thunked against the ground or tree bark. I was barely able to stifle my scream as an arrow landed at my feet, hardly missing me by an inch. Terrified, I scurried up the tree nearest to me.
