I'm part of the 5% of people who watched this show on Nickelodeon and I have to say that its tragically underrated. This was definitely Nickelodeon's version of 'Daria' only with a much more relatable protagonist for preteens. While I do like Daria a lot, I always found the character more comical than relatable. 'As Told by Ginger' filled that void for me as a kid, and once in a while I rewatch the series because of its really down to earth writing. I will review the whole series in the future but for now I will focus on my favorite character from the show; Courtney Gripling.

For those who do not know about the show or have never watched it, 'Hey Arnold' is about the life of a group of kids who live in a city thats very similar to Brooklyn. The main character, Arnold, is an imaginitive nine year old with a weird shaped head who lives in a boarding house with his crazy grandparents. On the outside, 'Hey Arnold' looks like an ordinary cartoon but what seperated it from other shows its the content and themes it explores. Its a very character driven/slice of life kind of show which gives it a sense of realism.
