Here's a picture of the lovely Alexandra Potter (the great specialist of ballet shoes).

I've been very influenced by :
- George Petty : For the cartoon shapes and the pose.
- Hubert de Lartigue ([link]) : For the tones and the soft light.
The "I-tentacle" was very boring to do ...

My entry for this weeks Trinquette Challenge, organised by the great Alberto Ruiz.
Missed the deadline, but thought I'd better post it here as a reminder that space can be a lot more dangerous than you realise.
And requires a far less bulky dress code than previously thought.

Pencil sketch, painted in photoshop.
No astronauts were harmed during the making of this picture.

EDIT: Just thought I'd better explain WHAT the Trinquette challenge is:

the moderator posts a photo which all entrants use as the inspiration/pose for their illustration.
For example:
The amazing Serge Biraults entry : [link]
The Talented Ben Tan's entry: [link] (obviously he likes retro space stuff too :D )

Part of a large calendar for the factory of trailers. The work is done in the spirit of old American sci-fi movie for cattle.
And yes, I have not seen the video Benny Benassi, this coincidence accidental. Don't write about it here, please.

Hello,this is Holly Rock!
My new pinup.
the original image is a 18x24 inches and was painted with PSCS4 and Painter 12. My intention in here was create a different pinup from my regular work. Holly is special and translates a bit of my currently mood and spirit. It's time for new ideas.:)
Hope you enjoy and if possible help me share this "Rock Lady" .
Thanks,
Cris Delara

I wanted to play with it and give it a little bit more of retro worn-outness...

I did a bicycle pinup a while ago because I love Serge Birault's work

At the same time, I was getting really into Fellini movies (and I especially love his wife, Giulietta Masina, in them) so I scribbled up a matching pinup on a Vespa, and then I forgot about her for a long time (new and different!) I dug her out of the dusty corners and finished her recently. :)

I <3 <3 <3 Mad Men, and I've been trying to do more studies and things lately. Though, I may have spent too long on this for it to count as a study anymore.

Still! I love Joan.
