I was tempted by a dish called Tochitura moldoveneasca at PETITCHEF's web sitte and inspired myself.

My recipe (for 2 persons) uses the following ingredients for the:

:bulletred: Meat:
pork meat, salt, pepper, red pepper, thyme, olive oil, garlec, white wine

:bulletorange:Rice: rice, salt, half carrot, fresh parsley

:bulletgreen:Bread: soy bread bought yesterday

The preparation is an excellent Romanian :bulletred::bulletyellow::bulletblue: dish! Worth a try!
It's called "Sarmale" and means: "Vine leaf stuffed with rice and meat"

I've took the recipe from DanutzaP site :hungry:

I'll translate it into english:

Ingredients:
vine leaves as fresh and green, 1 kg minced pork, 1 cup rice, 3 onions, 1-2 eggs 7 tablespoons tomato paste, paprika, pepper, thyme, marjoram, green dill, salt.

Preparation:
1. Wash well the vine leaves and scald them in hot water for several minutes.
You also can use pickled grape leaf.
2. In an oiled bowl put some layers of leaves. With the other leaves we will prepare the stuffed ones.

3. Mix the meat with the rice well washed, chopped onion, spices, 3-4 tablespoons tomato paste and 2 eggs.

4. Put the meat mixture at one end of the sheet and then run the beef. Repeat the process untill you fill the bowl.

Add 2-3 tablespoons over them tomato paste and water enough to cover the bowl.We boil at medium heat 1h and then 1h in the oven.

Serve it with:
Yogurt

Homemade Potato Pancakes with Sour Cream - Latkes.

RECIPE
Potato Pancakes - Latkes

Ingredients

4 large russet (Idaho) potatoes
1 small onion grated
2 gloves garlic, finely grated
1/2 cup flour
1/4 cup oil
Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions

1. Wash and peel potatoes. Wrap in paper towels to absorb excess water.
2. Grate onion and garlic into a bowl.
3. Grate potatoes into same bowl as onion and garlic, mixing periodically to prevent potatoes from turning brown.
4. Add salt and pepper.
5. Add flour and mix throughly. Make sure the mixture is thick. Let rest at room temperature for 20 mins.
6. After 20 mins, scoop mixture to one side of the bowl. Tilting the bowl and with paper towel soak up excess liquid and discard paper.
7. Warm 1/4 cup oil in pan.
8. When oil is hot use 1/3 cup of mixture, put in frying pan and flatten with fork to make a patty.
9. Add more patties to the pan, but no do not over crowd it.
10. Fry until golden brown on bottom, then flip and fry other side.

* Makes about 10 Latkes, depending on how thick they are.
** Serve with sour cream or apple sauce.

Mon deuxième bento ! Cette fois-ci, je n'ai pas triché ! Je l'ai fait en m'inspirant du bento "Miss Pieuvre" tiré du livre "Délicieux Bento" de Crystal Watanabe et de Maki Ogawa. C'est à mon avis le meilleur livré sorti en France ! Ma bible !

Il a été pleins d'enseignements ! Et de ratés ! lol Il faut vraiment attendre que le riz ait refroidi avant de faire une décoration en cheddar. Ou alors, utiliser un fromage plus épais, type gouda.

Au menu : riz teinté en bleu, saucisses poulpettes, poulet frit à la japonaise dans le premier compartiment. Et des Napolitains et des Balistos en dessert.

J'ai utilisé la boîte à Bento Kingyo Fish.

Made some onion rings the other day wohoo =D

Ingredients:

- Holland onions
- wheat flour
- salt
- white pepper powder
- sesame seeds
- chicken eggs
- bread crumbs
- palm oil

Best served with tartar sauce (or just mayonnaise and chilli sauce) :icononionteaplz:
